going out sounds nice me and DH are going to next week when he is home. i will miss him alot

OOh what might you have to eat, do you know the menu?

TheMaskedPoster · 15/02/2008 15:10

Ahhh Sagitta - a woman after my own heart ...

Actually that is what we are having tonight - well, it is Friday after all

scorpio1 · 15/02/2008 15:11

i'm going to freeze some stuff and visit M&S the week before to get lots of ready meal things. also will have a few takeaways but not too many, will be trying to get rid of tummy!!

Oh and making sure i have cold champagne for when she is born

TheMaskedPoster · 15/02/2008 15:11

oh and yes - YUM to going out for Posh Nosh - let us know what you have

TheMaskedPoster · 15/02/2008 15:13

cold champagne! GREAT idea - will have to make sure we have some indoors too

sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:14

Don't know about the menu, but its a very posh country hotel (mil and step-fil are taking us!) I can't remember the last time I went out to dinner!

TMP - I'll probably freeze some soups as well as stew, lasagne, etc - although they are hard to eat with a baby on your lap. Poor DD had so many pizza crumbs on her head we thought there was something wrong with her scalp!

Mollyfloss · 15/02/2008 15:16

The" less I eat after this birth the better It's going to take quite a while to get my figure back. It's the thought of getting into my lovely size 8 jeans that stresses me the most. Even if I get back into them it could be no time before I'm preggers again anyway I know I'm nuts to be thinking about 2nd baby already

Just bought some huge white cheap knickers in M&S for the hospital, charming...

scorpio1 · 15/02/2008 15:18

i'm getting black knickers, less messy.

Molly - all of my clothes are an 8 or a 6 and i want to wear them again!

Are you still in maternity 8? my dungarees don't fit me, im not tall enough and cant return them cos theyre from ebay. do you want them? H&M ones, 32 leg. let me know!

sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:19

Good point, Molly. Just one thing - if you plan to BF, you do need to keep your strength up, so you do need to eat properly. Last time I lived off toast for about 3 months until HV told me off..

scorpio1 · 15/02/2008 15:20

also Molly dairy is important, especially if you want to get pg soon after its important you eat well; just not fatty iyswim?

TheMaskedPoster · 15/02/2008 15:22

omg - last time it took me a year to realise I needed to lose weight - ie saw a photo of myself with dd and was appalled! I kept saying that I was breast feeding and could have those extra 2 (5) biscuits!!

This time I plan to do things a bit better and eat sensibly and hopefully get back in my usual jeans/clothes by end of summer

scorpio1 · 15/02/2008 15:24

i'm hoping August time - for holiday, beach, also first night of clubbing for me - friends bday in August. Would like to wear mini, not hotpants though!

sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:26

That sounds like a good plan, TMP. Although that's just in time for winter, when you can get away with big jumpers and eating more to keep out the cold!

TheMaskedPoster · 15/02/2008 15:27

lol - true sagitta ... therefore I will be the one easily spotted in shorts and strappy tops in November!!

sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:28

I think I'd be arrested for indecent exposure if I wore hotpants in a public place. Caught sight of a different part of my thighs last night - it's like a horror movie. I am going to have to get dressed/ undressed in the dark from now on...

scorpio1 · 15/02/2008 15:29

i keep feeling really fat when we have sex; didnt until about a week ago. DH says im not and im beautiful, but still!

sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:32

I do, too. So much, I'd rather not have sex, I'm so embarrassed. DH says I'm not, but that's simply not true!

Please tell me to go away and do the cleaning...

scorpio1 · 15/02/2008 15:33

i feel embarrassed too; but i still think i have the right to enjoy it and if DH likes it then ok (he moans im too skinny normally so think he is loving it, i just don't)

Bugger off and clean you slattern

sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:36

I wish someone would moan that I'm too skinny

Done toilet, and the tidying's done. Just oven and hoovering and rubbish to sort out. And Sainsburys.

scorpio1 · 15/02/2008 15:37

i have to go too, laptop gonna run out.

sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:43

I hope your weekend's OK, Scorpio. It's horrible when DHs go away. I am going to have the same thing in march/ april - DH is off to Australia for 2 or 3 weeks...
I hope you find some adult company...

PortAndLemon · 15/02/2008 15:43
sagitta · 15/02/2008 15:44

I've always thought you were a bit too skinny, P&L...

PortAndLemon · 15/02/2008 15:50

Can I have that in writing and notarised?

KnitterInTheNW · 15/02/2008 15:50

Talking about Dhs going away... what do you make of this? We saw the PILs the other night and FIL asked DH if he fancied going on a microlighting trip to France for a week, in June! Baby will be less than 3 months old. I've told DH that it would be very difficult for me if he were to clear off for a whole week, esp if I'm up multiple times feeding, with no help at all during the day. MIL is/will be no help at all. Told him it would be a bit different in another year, but really can't believe that FIL even suggested it!
