morning

Still not very good here. DH has been making an effort though.

Yesterday he said oh is there anything else i want to bring up and i said no. But there is. just really small stupid stuff but i cant stop thinking about it. I want to ask him but he will get cross at me. He already says i am moaning at him.

I am not coping at all.

Mollyfloss · 29/02/2008 09:29

PAL: I'm impressed also with your DH climbing Mount Everest even if he's not going right to the top. It sounds like a great experience. I'm even more impressed that you let him go. I won't let my DH go anywhere from now on but then I'm a first timer and I've noticed us first timers are very cuatious about everything!

Scorpio: I'm really sorry you're not feeling better today. Why don't you try writing down on a piece of paper exactly what's bothering you about your DH and then go over it a couple of times and try to summarise it in bullet points. You could then talk through point by point with him and he shouldn't feel you are 'moaning' at him but having a very structured and rational conversation. I know it sounds a bit weird to do that but when I get emotional about stuff the way it comes out of my mouth can sound irrational and all over the place... just a thought anyway... it might help

VictorianSqualor · 29/02/2008 09:34

Oh Scorpio. I'm crap at that too, it's best to get it all out at once though rather than keep it bottled up inside.
Is it more insecurities that are likely to be able to be sorted once you speak or bigger stuff?
xxxxx

scorpio1 · 29/02/2008 09:41

insecurities that have come up because of some stuff on his facebook. really stupid shit in the cold light of day but eating at me iyswim?

i know this sounds really silly but i have emailed him, im too scared to talk to him.

VictorianSqualor · 29/02/2008 09:43

Sometimes an email or letter can work better. Means you cna both think about what you want to say without getting all emotional and it turning into a slanging match iyswim.

If you want to talk more about it my email/msn is fan-fkn-tastic @ hotmail . co .uk.

scorpio1 · 29/02/2008 09:57

have emailed you, thanks!

KnitterInTheNW · 29/02/2008 10:12

Morning!

Scorpio, you're really having a bad time of it aren't you? I agree with VS, I usually find it easier to write things down and send a letter/email if I have something on my mind. Plus, remember that your hormones are doo-lally at the moment and that's what will be making you think all these things, rather that there's anything untoward going on. I hope I'm not coming across as all 'pull yourself together girl', I'm not very good at finding the right words sometimes and the last thing I want to do is upset you any more xx

I'm not sure how the viewing went, she was only here for just over 5 mins and left saying 'I'll be in touch, I think'. Hopefully the estate agent will call later with her feedback. It's annoying though as I've been cleaning and tidying for 3 days and she was here for not very long! I hasten to add though, it was't even particularly messy or dirty, I'm just very slow and have to sit down for 10 mins after doing anything for 10 mins.

I was leaning back on the sofa last night and bump seemed to be doing mexican waves, I had a glass resting on it and it was being lifted up & down. Then at one point there was a massive hard lump pushing up just off to the right of the middle, at the top, and I could feel the pressure of it pushing up. Gave it a little 'hello' rub and told it that if that lump was being a bottom, it was a very GOOD bottom and it was the right end! I wish I could look in and see which way round he is now, bump felt and looked different after that but this morning it's back to how it was yesterday.

Mollyfloss · 29/02/2008 10:25

Knitter: the waves and kicks you had last night sound very much like mine and my LO is the right way around. Hopefully that's a good sign!

Scorpio: I hope you didn't think I was suggesting that you might sound irrational etc.! I just think it's a good idea to write stuff down. I'm sure VS has some good advice for you.

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 29/02/2008 10:32

Morning! Poor you Scorpio - I hate feeling how you are feeling but agree that the best thing to do is get it off your chest.

PAL - wow - very impressed with you DH! What an amazing trip to go on - would love to do something like that! I hope he is back before your LO arrives!

Knitter - fingers crossed for you and selling your house! Good luck!

For all those that have had babies before - how do you know when baby is engaged? Very strange movements down there...

SuzeM · 29/02/2008 10:38

Scorpio, I agree with Molly, think you should summarise what you want to say in advance and then have it out with your dh. Emails can be taken the wrong way, I think it is better to talk but whatever works best for you. Sorry you are upset.

Chipmonkey, those courses look good. That was a horrible case, Ballymaloe is off my list too. I like Rachel Allen's show though. My dh slags me that I sound like her.

My last full week of work is over, yahoo! I am working until the end of March but with Easter and taking two days off for NCT classes, I only have four day weeks.

PAL, that sounds like an amazing trip.

KnitterInTheNW · 29/02/2008 10:50

I've just made a profile & put a pic of me taken last night, I'm trying to put a wedding pic on too but the CD they're on is playing up. I'll keep trying!

jenniejennie · 29/02/2008 10:51

Scorpio. I hope it goes well with your DH, I think you have had good advice today. Its so hard to stay rational but things eat away inside you if you dont talk about them so they will come out anyway. DH should be trying to reassure you and there is obviously a reason why you feel like this, even if its over minor things. Men are crap though, they just dont think sometimes. Big hugs to you. Hope he responds well.

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 29/02/2008 10:53

Ahh - Knitter - your bump is very cute!

Mollyfloss · 29/02/2008 10:56

Great pic knitter! your bump looks great and you look sooooo happy!

Sheds75 · 29/02/2008 11:08

Morning All..... molly and Knitter I too have similar waves and kicks can be a strage think this pregnancy

am feeling the joy of finishing work on Monday so thought I'd bake you all a Chocolate mudd cake so feel free to take a slice for you mid morning snack!

KnitterInTheNW · 29/02/2008 11:41

He's currently kicking at the bottom of my bump again now, so he's wrong way round. Still, at least I know he CAN do it, even if it's just for 10 minutes!

I'm very bored.

My mum & dad & auntie & uncle are coming for the day tomorrow from Leicester, and bringing our (my!) new car. Can't wait! I've been stuck at home for 2 weeks and can't wait to have a car again to get a bit further away & visit people. Mum will have to have her mothers day flowers a day early, I'm sure she won't mind too much.

Sal22 · 29/02/2008 11:57

Good morning everyone.

I'm sure your mom wouldn't mind flowers early, Knitter, she'd be delighted! I wish my mom was here already so that I could do something for her, she's so amazing - can only dream to be such a good mother one of these days... But at least I'll see her a week after baby's born (she's flying in from SA on the 11th of April). I seem to miss my family more than usual lately, probably the hormones making everything feel more intense.

Is anyone planning on doing anything romantic on this leap year day? I've been so rubbish lately, just lying in front of telly like a big fat elephant that I thought I might use this opportunity to make an effort (for the day anyway). So planning to take DH out for dinner and a movie tonight.

EllieG · 29/02/2008 12:12

Am mostly planning on being a big fat elephant.

Oh poo, no I'm not, I'm going out on a work do. So no romance either way.

(((((hugs))))) to scorpio x

VictorianSqualor · 29/02/2008 12:25

watch this!!

KnitterInTheNW · 29/02/2008 12:28

Me and DH watched that last night, I was howling with laughter and DH just kept saying 'are you sure you want to watch this' with a face.

I KNOW it's going to hurt, so that bit doesn't 'scare' me (well it does but because I know it's meant to hurt it's not so scary IYSWIM) but she was so clueless.

And yes, I had a sob at the end.

Peachy · 29/02/2008 12:29

Wellt ehre was a birth in the Peachy household alst night...

Just it was ds2's stick insect eggs LOL!

Coming out in sympathy, I think!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 29/02/2008 12:30
