That was a good weight, a friends little girl was 1 lb 9 but amazingly didnt need any ventilation.

Denny185 · 26/02/2008 13:15

Oh and random question, has anyone had any clicking/popping noises (loud enough for others to hear) coming from their bump. Never had before but over this last few weeks strange noises coming from the top of the bump tend to be on baby movements. Not particularly worrying, just strange, wondered if anyone else had it and knew what it was?

TheMaskedPoster · 26/02/2008 13:22

Happy Birthday ToastAddict - have a wonderful day!

Have most of stuff needed sorted now ( just ordered one of those hospital bag kits that you linked to ages ago VS - as having a few mild pains and thought I should sort out the hospital bag now-ish, just in case).

Getting really excited now with about a month to go - whoopeee!! Oh and have learnt not to sneeze on a full bladder .

Hope all are well.
x

TheMaskedPoster · 26/02/2008 13:24

oh and Denny, I don't know about the popping noise, sorry. Hopefully someone else will have an answer.

EllieG · 26/02/2008 13:31

Would echo the sneeze thing. A valuable lesson learned for me.

VS your DD was so wee and cute! Lovely pics.

I can't find a comfy way to have sex anymore - is all too achy! Makes it like a flippin' military operation - 'how's it like this? No? We'll try this then - that hurts too?' etc. Oh, the romance of it all.

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 13:37

i know, we laugh alot and say is this comfy? No, this way?

We find that DH sort of propped up and me on top works best but tiring....from behind is fine too.

I want sex all the time when im pg so just ignore me! So no sex today then? Will get some cream on DH later as well.

Will ask MW tomorrow when i can

PortAndLemon · 26/02/2008 13:42

The popping thing is moderately common -- I remember reading about it when pregnant with DS but now can't remember what causes it. Definitely nothing to worry about, though.

VictorianSqualor · 26/02/2008 13:57

Somehow we manage to do it missionary, but tbh if we didn't we wouldn't do it. I can't walk up the fucking stairs without nearly having an asthma attack let alone start jumping around on top!

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 13:59

lol VS @ fucking stairs

I dont have any of those, though i do have to walk up a steep hill EVERY day on the way home from school.

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 14:05

i have all of a sudden got very bad backache and my tummy is tight. it hurts.

Peachy · 26/02/2008 14:15

VS I'm having the same thing with latent phase labour- annoying isn't it?

I shall see if I can find any pics of ds1, born at 38 weeks weighing 5lbs 5oz. he'd lost about a lb and looked scrawny- needed no SCBO though and was with me immediately, home within a few days.

Denny185 · 26/02/2008 14:20

With you there VS, plus think I would squash him at the mo with the jiganormous weight gain

sagitta · 26/02/2008 14:22

Popping thing sounds weird...not had that yet.

Has anyone else managed to set fire to bump yet while cooking? I've had two smouldering incidences while standing too close to hob!

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 14:24

i always get a little dirty spot on the biggest part of bump from where it rubs against things

my back/tummy still hurt feels like big period pains. just rang DH and he said he will b able to get kids for me if i can't. don't wanna annoy MW probably nothing.

Denny185 · 26/02/2008 14:25

Dosent hurt at all just odd.

No burning of bump, but knocked glass of Oj over this am whilst reaching into cupboard. Think you need to stop cooking or buy heat proof apron!!

Denny185 · 26/02/2008 14:26

How long been going on Scorpio?

sagitta · 26/02/2008 14:28

Scorpio - hope you're alright...keep us posted.

Can't stop cooking - that would mean stopping eating!

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 14:28

about half an hour now. going to try going on all fours to see if its baby pressing something.

micegg · 26/02/2008 14:30

Hello all. I am gate crashing. I am due April 4th. I havent posted on here for ages but I just thought I would share the fact that I am in the worse mood ever today. Someone tell me to go pull myself together. Just eaten DDs last packet of choc buttons and I dont care.

northeastmummy · 26/02/2008 14:33

That sounds really uncomfortable Scorpio - hope you're ok and it's easing off a bit. Make sure you take up that offer from DH if it's still going on after a while, especially if he's not got too much on today anyway.

Ellie - it is so typical of people to slag off something they know nothing about. There are bound to be the odd incompetent social workers but i really think you're in one of the few professions where you just don't get enough credit for what you do. I'd certainly like to see any of the people who are so quick to judge give it a try - I don't think they'd last long somehow.

VS - wow to your 5+ lb baby at 32 weeks!!

Peachy - I don't know what to say. How heartless? I really hope you can get DS out of that school soon.

sagitta · 26/02/2008 14:46

Hi Micegg
Why the bad mood? And it's not gatecrashing...

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 14:47

DH is getting the kids i can't walk very well or anything...will have bath when he gets in to hopefully stop it.

Peachy · 26/02/2008 14:56

Might be worth calling MW if bath doesn't sort it- how many weeks are you? Some hospitals want time to give steroids if before 34 weeks, and for that they need 24 hours.

Have also burned bump.... and got stuck twice between car and wall climbing out . We ahve to park tight to the house- freed mysel;f first time, Dh had to pull me out second PMSL.

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 14:58

i think that she must be sitting funny inside or something....getting in bath in 5 mins when its finished running. DH be here about half past; will see then. i dont want to annoy the MW or trek to hospital - 30 miles away.

scorpio1 · 26/02/2008 14:58

I'm 33+4.
