@LauraA31 yep PLL ending was terrible. We are late to watching Breaking Bad but absolutely loving it so far

Longbin · 19/11/2022 20:49

Just got the extra parts to make our pram a double and it's like pushing a bus 😂😂 what age do children usually stop going in a pushchair?

Cuppasoupmonster · 19/11/2022 20:59

Mine still goes in one now occasionally at 3.5 @Longbin 😫 everyone on here seems to say ‘18 months’ but don’t be scared by that 😂 DD does walk to the park etc, but if we’re in a rush or walking quite a long way, or if I need to carry shopping, it’s much easier to bring the buggy. The pavements around here are quite narrow and there’s a lot of people/traffic, plus she doesn’t like holding my hand and dawdles a lot.

My daughter will be 2 years 4 months when baby is born and we aren’t getting a double pushchair.

She hardly goes in it as it is and wants to walk everywhere so we’re getting a buggyboard with a seat instead as think a double buggy would be a massive waste for us!

Longbin · 19/11/2022 21:14

My daughter will barely go in it now but she isn't good at holding hands either and the pavements are tiny. I got the parts secondhand and it will only last until the baby moves into a seat, so she will be 2 1/2 by then. Hoping I won't need one for her at that point and she can switch to a buggy board!

PuddingBear · 19/11/2022 21:36

@Longbin My DD is generally good at holding hands but on the occasions she doesn’t want to or it’s really busy we have reins for her which have really helped!

Deek88 · 20/11/2022 09:24

If anyone is looking at double prams, I highly highly recommend the nipper 360 double. I had it with my twins and it was the lightest and most manoeuvrable double I tried (I tried a lot of them!) you can also change it to have one carry fit and one ff seat :)

lovely seeing everyone getting the halfway scans - mine seems like a lifetime away on 8th dec and I’m trying so hard not to book another private one this close the Xmas as their so expensive!

ancienthouse · 20/11/2022 10:11

I'm starting to get really worried about my 20 week scan. It's still a week away but I can't stop thinking about it and all the things that could be wrong!
The baby is kicking away like mad, it seems to be a Strictly fan as it didn't stop moving through the whole programme last night!
But I'm still really worried.

ancienthouse · 20/11/2022 10:15

Pushchairs - I think it depends where you live. DS is 3.5 and stopped using the pushchair before he turned 3. Before that we lived in London and didn't have a car so needed it for longer walks or if he was tired. But now we live somewhere where everything is either a short walk that he can manage fine, or we have to drive. So we don't need the pushchair.

He still has his moments though. It took us 40 minutes to do a 10 minute walk home from nursery the other week because he kept plonking himself down on the path and complaining that his legs were tired! And I can't carry him at the moment so we just plodded along a few steps at a time!

solosunflower · 20/11/2022 11:19

I'm due 11th April.
I have my anomaly scan this Wednesday. I haven't told anyone, aside from the father, because I'm convinced something will be wrong.

Skylark1990 · 20/11/2022 12:09

Hello everyone. Sorry to hear you're feeling anxious @ancienthouse and @solosunflower . My scan is tomorrow and also feeling nervous! Hopefully it's all ok for all of us. Odds are with us 🙏❤️

We decided to get this moses basket as all natural materials and v similar to the little green sheep one but a bit cheaper! Also love the design ☺️ www.silvercrossbaby.com/sale/moses-baskets/moses-basket-with-stand/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAveebBhD_ARIsAFaAvrE9Z3VFFcV7DlkgD6od_lrgPtN3tLXGredMDYeLCyq-ln-gpMdrwMEaAl8zEALw_wcB#luxury-moses-basket-&-stand-with-100%-organic-adventure-liner £99 for basket and stand!

cheekysausage · 20/11/2022 16:56

18 week scan tomorrow for me!

AliceinSlumberland · 20/11/2022 17:10

Ahhhh good luck for those with scans tomorrow 💕💕💕 Mines a week tomorrow.

Pram shopping was mind blowing honestly, didn’t even consider there would be that many options. Think I’ve come to the conclusion that we’d be better with two. Going to get an out n about nipper for hardcore off roading/fields etc and then some sort of more compact travel system, possibly a Joie one for day to day, shops, days out etc.

Yes thankfully, the suspense would drag otherwise!

Is anyone else in a very lot of pain?

I am 17 weeks and experiencing a lot of pain whilst at work (physically demanding job) and also just generally when walking around and about after a couple of hours.

I think it’s PGP because it hurts on my lower back, hips and under my bump and it’s getting so bad that I am struggling to walk at all and kind of slowly hobbling.

I had it in my last pregnancy but not this bad. I only work 2 days a week but I am totally wiped out half way through, unable to walk properly, and I’m worried about what my colleagues are thinking.

alwaysseeingstars · 20/11/2022 19:04

@DBS94 sorry for the slow update but the scan went really well on Thursday- we're having a girl! After all the anxiety beforehand, seeing her heartbeat instantly was SUCH a relief! Good luck for yours tomorrow xx

DBS94 · 20/11/2022 19:06

@alwaysseeingstars awww congratulations 🥰 and thank you!! Hopefully this time tomorrow I'll be feeling the same as you and looking forward to the rest of pregnancy xx

alwaysseeingstars · 20/11/2022 19:24

@DBS94 I hope so, we finally feel we can allow ourselves to think about things a lot more now! Found out I have a low lying placenta though which is a pain but hopefully won't be an issue later on!
Had a look at travel systems today- what a minefield!!
Good luck everyone with upcoming scans 😊
