I am 9dpo and just found out I am pregnant - very early but also very excited! Anyone else due in July?

Morning. I'm only 3 weeks 1 day so it's incredibly early for me and I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

My period isn't even due for another 5 days. I'm surprised how early I got a line. I hope it's not twins 😂

I would have loved twins in my first pregnancy but since this is my second, one will do 😅

Wafflessyrup · 03/11/2022 11:47

Hey all

how’s everyone doing? Any mums with baby #2? 😊

joining because I think I’m about 4 weeks + 4 days

symptoms -
late period (haven’t tested as I didn’t believe it would happen first month- maybe denial cause Christmas and my toddlers 2nd birthday coming up 😅)

Short cramps that go - that don’t get worse and end up as my period (exactly like my first pregnancy)
shooty boob pain - only get when I’m pregnant
headaches/nausea
& intense hunger
insomnia

My symptoms are so identical (I suffered hard with my first born I will never forget how rubbish I felt ) but if anything this time it’s much much stronger earlier on which is making me me slightly irrationally paranoid about multiples 😂😂🤣

Hey everyone! Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any pregnancy apps? Hope you're all doing well x

I really like Emma's diary & What to expect.

I also downloaded peanut which is essentially tinder for meeting pregnant women in your area - although annoyingly at 4 weeks a lady from work found me on there which wasnt ideal! x

@Ldougal92 thank you! Oh that's so annoying - maybe I'll stay clear for a little bit just incase the same happens haha! Xx

elll0192 · 03/11/2022 15:20

Hey everyone... Ive seen quite a few people due on 3rd July like me 😁

According to the app I am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant.

This is my first pregnancy and was not really planned so I am scared!! But excited now that I have finally accepted it and got over the initial shock!

I feel like I already have a bump, I am noticing the bloat a lot I cannot fasten my jeans lol!! Ive had some niggles and pains and sore boobs, definitely more hungry than usual and had some sleepless nights! But other than that I dont feel too bad yet.. so far so good. Keep expecting the dreaded morning sickness so kick in any day soon 😂

xx

Daniki · 03/11/2022 16:45

@Wafflessyrup this will also be baby no 2 for me! My first bub is 19 months so they'll be close enough in age 😁 I was the same surprised to get pregnant again so quick! X

bubble55 · 03/11/2022 16:49

@Wafflessyrup @Daniki Baby no2 for me too! Currently have a 2.5 year old so 3 when baby is born x

MendaciousMabel · 03/11/2022 18:10

@elll0192 the bloating is no joke is it 😂 I can't bear to wear bottoms when I don't have to atm it's so uncomfortable!

gg9320 · 03/11/2022 18:23

@MendaciousMabel so. much. Bloating!! 😅

@clouise30 I’ve been using pregnancy + which is good so far!

Daniki · 03/11/2022 18:30

Apps I have is my pregnancy and pregnancy + 😌

Butterfliesandroses · 03/11/2022 19:40

Has anyone had strange dreams yet? I remember these from my first pregnancy and at 4+ weeks they are back with full force! One of the weirdest pregnancy symptoms!

bubble55 · 03/11/2022 19:50

@Butterfliesandroses omg this is probably my biggest symptom - the vivid dreams!! I have had absolutely crazy dreams for about two weeks, they’re so strange!

Butterfliesandroses · 03/11/2022 19:56

@bubble55 I'm glad it's not just me!!!!

elowheez · 03/11/2022 20:02

Anyone else have a heightened smell? Everything smells really strong for me currently but my partner says it doesn't actually smell that strong. Pre pregnancy I would always smell things after he did so this is entirely new ground for me

EmmRach · 03/11/2022 23:03

Hi all, can I join in?

I'm only 10DPO so it's very early days, but the tests I've done are definitely positive!
Trying my best not to get excited... @Ldougal92 I have a short LP too, but managed to get a BFP in cycle 3! Not sure if I'm lucky or what?! But I've read a short LP can be a cause of early MC. So just a bit nervy!!

How short? Mine was between 8-10 days so I’m not on progesterone for 3 months - (fun 🤣)

its so nerve wracking isn’t it. I hadn’t anticipated this x

Daniki · 04/11/2022 06:41

@elowheez yes I have this too, had to change all the diffusers in work yest and went home with a migraine and vomited then from it 🥴🤣

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 06:41

@Ldougal92 consistently 8 or 9. Never got to 10. We only actually tried for 3 cycles. But i tracked my bbt on natural cycles for over a year prior (in preparation) and it never changed.
So yeah, approaching with caution!
Is this your first? How long did you try? Horrible question and feel free to ignore, but have you had any losses? I'm pretty sure I'll get laughed out of my GP office for asking for progesterone. I've been told that GPs rarely recognise a LP as a problem. Are you being seen privately or NHS?
Sorry for all the questions. Pls feel free to ignore me if it's a bit much.

Don’t be silly. Ask away

No losses, but I was on my third round of clomid so a little different as I don’t naturally ovulate. I’m on the nhs and my consultant had given me progesterone to use for 14 days after ovulation and if I did become pregnant use for 3 months - and because he’d written that down my GP was able to prescribe it for me. Hope that helps. X

@Ldougal92 thanks so much. That provides me with a bit of reassurance that the progesterone wasn't specifically just for the short LP then. That's great that you got that kind of support through the NHS.
Thanks for all your info!
I tested again this morning. Now only 11DPO but my line was stronger than the day before. So that's positive!! I'm concerned about a chemical pregnancy and I've read that your test line sort of fades until you start bleeding heavily. So watching those lines carefully!!
Thanks again x

Ldougal92 · 04/11/2022 07:44

Sorry I’m not sure if I explained that correctly. The progesterone was purely for my short Luteal phase I’m afraid. Message me if you have any questions. X

@Ldougal92 ahhh I see... well. It is what it is for this pregnancy I guess. I'll have to see what happens. I feel really reassured that I managed to get a positive test in my third cycle. So if the worst does happen I'll go to my doc and ask for support for next time. Thanks again for the info

thelma57 · 04/11/2022 09:05

Hope it’s okay for me to join! I got my BFP yesterday at 10 DPO and tested again this morning and got a darker line (not pregnant on digital weeks indicator though so that’s annoying!)

I haven’t told anyone yet but will be when my DH is home 🥰

We had a chemical in December and then have been trying on and off since. I don’t think it’s quite sunk in, trying to take each day (hour!) as it comes at this stage!

How is everyone feeling? Is anyone on their first baby? I’m not entirely sure what to do…

Added a couple of piccies of my tests yesterday and today!

@thelma57 whoop!! Congratulations!! Definitely darker today!! That looks brilliant!!

Do you mind telling me about your experience with your chemical loss? Don't worry if it's too tough though... I'm sorry that happened for you.

It's my first too. When are we supposed to tell our GP?

I'm at the hospital on Tuesday. Found a lump in my breast about 3 months ago. Had a biopsy and it didn't look suspicious but it hasn't gone away so they are checking me again. I'll obviously tell them at the appointment then.
