Hi all! I’m 5/6 weeks along can I join in? This is my second pregnancy I have a 2 year old so excited to make her a big sister ❤️

MendaciousMabel · 01/11/2022 20:52

@bubble55 I'm thinking of getting a private scan as well if my 12 week scan ends up being after Christmas, we're seeing so many family and friends around then and it would be such lovely news to share. It feels so far away though at the moment

inkworks273 · 01/11/2022 21:09

Hi ladies could I join please? I've just found out and if all goes well I'll be due 19th July! I'm 36 and already have a 3.5 yo.

Congratulations to everyone!

Ldougal92 · 01/11/2022 22:02

The more the merrier - congratulations 🥰

Hi all!
I am around 5weeks and this is my first pregnancy! According to the app I am due 3rd July😊 Congrats to everyone on their news
I was thinking about getting a private scan at around 8 weeks but wasn't 100% sure, however my partner and I wanted to tell our family and friends at Christmas so because 12 weeks will be the 19th December, I think we might go ahead with the private scan just to be on the safe side!

I’m the same as you, due to 3rd July too according to the app.
We’ve booked a private scan on the 20th should be almost 8 weeks by then, can’t wait!

elowheez · 02/11/2022 07:59

We just went ahead and booked our private scan which happens to be on the 20th as well 😊 @Omg2lines

My app says this date too ❤️

bubble55 · 02/11/2022 09:03

How exciting, I’m currently the 4th July according to my app.

has anyone got a 3+ on clearblue yet? I stupidly did one last night and still 2-3 so panicked but reviews are terrible so trying not to fret.

heartbroken22 · 02/11/2022 09:18

I'm so happy there are so many of you in the same boat. Congratulations!!

I tried ringing my midwife to register pregnancy early unlike last time (which panicked me) but she said I was too early and wait till the end of the week.

I also panicked myself last night thinking I might have to use a double buggy. Luckily I've woken up and forgotten about it 😂

MendaciousMabel · 02/11/2022 10:14

I feel so anxious today and I have no idea why, I feel like I've convinced myself something has gone wrong. I am going to do another test when I get home and I think I may buy some more FRERs as well. Is it normal to get waves of anxiety feeling like something has gone wrong?

heartbroken22 · 02/11/2022 10:15

@MendaciousMabel yeah I feel like that everyday. I hope you're okay x

This was me yesterday! Just couldn't get out of my own head! I'm starting to wonder if doing a test every day isn't helping as I'm second guessing darker lines etc! This early pregnancy is no joke hey! Sending lots of love xx

Daniki · 02/11/2022 10:27

Completely normal to have anxiety! So hard

Daniki · 02/11/2022 10:29

Completely normal to have anxiety! Such a long wait to 12 weeks and if you've ever had a loss before it's constant worry! My first pregnancy I was so anxious the whole way through. Sent my previous post there by accident before i finished 😅 I had an app with doc today my due date is 3rd July 🙂 mentioned about the pains in side and urine sample showed I have an infection so he reckons kidney which explains the pains!

Try not to stress, it could have been because you tested in the evening.

Everything I've read on them says the time predictions aren't the best. But it's nice to see pregnant written down at least. 😊

I got a 3+ on Mon morning and have decided to put the tests away now and just want for my scan. It's so tempting to keep testing though!

MendaciousMabel · 02/11/2022 10:35

Thanks @clouise30 @Daniki @heartbroken22 I suppose its a bit of a daft question of course its an anxious time! I just feel like a mess today. It's my first pregnancy so I don't know what I should/shouldn't be feeling, and of course so early on you can't really talk to anyone about it.

I hope your kidney infection clears up quick @Daniki !

Daniki · 02/11/2022 10:40

@MendaciousMabel I know on your first it's tough as you don't know what to expect! A good pregnancy book I would defo recommend as it explains everything that's happening what to expect week to week! Plus you can talk to any of us 🙂 I am another baby group from my first child and we all still talk and babies are 19 months it's a great support to have as a lot of the time other mums are going through the exact same thing!

clouise30 · 02/11/2022 10:46

@MendaciousMabel oh completely! It's my second but my last pregnancy was nearly 15 years ago so it feels brand new all over again! It's so nice to be able to see other women feeling the exact same and to be able to ask questions you think could be silly! Xx

Fran919 · 02/11/2022 11:14

Hi all can I join? I’m somewhere between 4-5 weeks, probably closer to 4. I’ve ordered some CB weeks indicator to do.
If all is well, I’ll have 2 under 2 (just, about 6 weeks between due date & 2nd birthday)
Nausea has set in too which has taken me by surprise, didn’t start till 7/8 weeks last time but no other symptoms.

heartbroken22 · 02/11/2022 21:55

@Fran919 aww congratulations. That's the age gap I would have had with my other child. I hope the nausea is okay for you. I have really bad hypermesis so I'm dreading the weeks ahead.

Glawen · 03/11/2022 10:05

Morning all! How is everyone feeling? Congratulations to those that have joined and I'm sorry to hear of your previous losses ❤️

Catching up with the thread after a busy couple of days. @MendaciousMabel can totally relate to the anxiety, I feel like I'm carrying a tiny, delicate glass bauble that I could break at any minute and really overthinking everything I'm doing. I did manage to exercise last night, I felt good afterwards but during it I was worrying. I spoke to my trainer and she was really comforting in saying that anything I do in my normal life (unless i were to do something absolutely wild of course), wouldn't have any major risks to the growth and development. I found that helpful as I'm so worried that I personally will do something wrong/too much/too soon etc etc. Big hugs to those feeling the anxiety too, it's really hard to shift isn't it, especially this early.

Otherwise, my boobs are still really sore, I am VERY irritable according to my husband and my patience is about as thin as it can get 😂 still having some lower cramps intermittently. Just over the 4 week mark so feels so early.

Hows your symptoms ladies? X

Morning! Completely feel the same as you in terms of feeling a little anxious over this little bean, but we have to remember this is what are bodies are made to do and these little beans are a lot tougher than we can imagine.

My symptoms have been the same since I found out a bit of nausea, sore boobs and light cramping also I’ve have really dry lips and feeling very thirsty.

I’m a bit worried as I have Graves’ disease so my pregnancy is classed as high risk, I spoke with my doctor yesterday and he has arranged a blood test for me early next week and has referred me to a specialist antenatal endocrine doctor.

I think I’ll be getting more frequent blood test and scans to double check everything is ok, which I’m really happy about.

hope everyone is feeling good, what an exciting time for us all!

Morning ladies!

Exercise has been a tough one for me, I am very active usually working out 5/6 days a week and just worried about doing high impact, so I have been focussing on more weights / barre classes which has been nice! Although must say I am knackered - constantly wanting to nap, but not able to sleep in the day.

Apart from that boobs have been uncomfortable and not really any other symptoms. No nausea at all, I have been a bit funny with some smells but thats about it!

I am telling my Mum tomorrow morning and Im very nervous / excited!

x
