Morning Ladies,

I am 9dpo and just found out I am pregnant - very early but also very excited! Anyone else due in July?

Hi @EmmRach aww thank you, I can’t stop looking at the one today!

No problem, I didn’t test positive until about 14 DPO and it was quite faint, never got as dark as todays test, got a 1-2 weeks on a digital and then 2 days later had horrible painful cramps and heavy bleeding, at the time my period would have come 🙁 However I will say, at the time my pcos wasn’t under control and the cycle we conceived was my first period in 3 months and then I didn’t have one again for 2 months after my CP, also hadn’t been taking any supplements but obviously who knows 🤷‍♀️ Hope you’re okay?

Sorry to hear about your hospital appointment, that must have been scary! ❤️

I think it depends on your GP, some will refer you to a midwife, and some just give you a contact list. Need to tell my sister today who has two lovely little boys so she can tell me everything!

Hope it’s okay for me to join! I got my BFP yesterday at 10 DPO and tested again this morning and got a darker line (not pregnant on digital weeks indicator though so that’s annoying!)

I haven’t told anyone yet but will be when my DH is home 🥰

We had a chemical in December and then have been trying on and off since. I don’t think it’s quite sunk in, trying to take each day (hour!) as it comes at this stage!

How is everyone feeling? Is anyone on their first baby? I’m not entirely sure what to do…

Added a couple of piccies of my tests yesterday and today!

Congratulations! Welcome to the club :) x

Hello hoping I can join. I'm due July 11th. This will be #2 and we are so excited. We had been trying for 2 years with no luck so this is a bit of a shock. No major symptoms as yet just the odd ache and am crying at a drop of a hat.

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 10:12

@thelma57 thanks for sharing! So your experience seems quite different to mine so far. So that's very good and has made me feel a bit better. Thank you 🙏🏻

I did have some bleeding which I'm taking to be implantation bleeding. But it's stopped today. I do feel a bit crampy though. Nothing major.

Anyone else have any symptoms yet? How's everyone feeling?

Ok, so I think I'll call my GP next week when I'm getting a bit of a darker line and it's been a tad longer. First day of my last period was 7th Oct. So technically 4 weeks today right? Is that how you work it out?

Telling your sister will be lovely!!! Enjoy that feeling. 💕

Omg2lines · 04/11/2022 10:15

Anyone else feeling super nauseous? I’m also waking up so much during the night, every hour or so!

No nausea yet! not that I wish I had it, but I think it would make this feel more real haha! Get some ginger biscuits and tea - hopefully that may help x

4+3 weeks today. Woke at 3am with the D from D&V (trying to be discreet). Have just been so unwell since then and extremely nauseous! Never heard of people having D instead of vomiting for morning sickness so wondering if it could be a bug. Unfortunately Dr Google mentions miscarriage and ectopic so I've stopped looking. Has anyone experienced anything like this in early pregnancy before? With my DD I barely had any nausea and no D or V..

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 10:55

@Butterfliesandroses it's not been terrible but things have definitely been more 'loose' and more frequent than usual if you catch my drift. Started the day I got my first BFP!

No no nausea for me hey @Omg2lines - hope it's not too bad for you. But it's supposed to be a good sign!

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 11:00

You lot are going to be sick of me. Haaaahha. It's so hard not being able to speak with my friends yet!!! I've decided I will tell them early. But just not yet. Specially as a v close friend has had some bleeding and is only at 7 weeks and getting a scan today. So didn't want to worry her if I do have a chemical MC etc.

Annyhooooo... my post is to ask what I should do tonight!!
We're going to a friends house, out for 'drinks' and a meal and then back to theirs, staying over and Parkrun tomorrow am.

How do I get round the not drinking thing. I haven't even told my nearest and dearest yet. These are my husbands friends and I don't want them to be the first to find out. Specially if it's a bit of a risky one for me!!!! So any ideas / tips on how I play this?! I'm usually a big drinker 😳😅

Antibiotics?? My excuse at the moment, is either I have to drive, which you obviously can't use, or I have a chest infection (as I do have a lingering cough haha!)

OR you have decided to do a November detox of alcohol before Christmas!! I am going to have to get imaginative at my work Christmas party on the 6th Dec as they are very boozy!!!

Morning ladies! Having such a hormonal day and all over the place. Is anyone testing daily on cheapy strip tests? I had one this morning that was the tiniest bit lighter than yesterdays and had a complete wobble! Then tested again a few hours later and arguably the line is as dark if not darker than the control line! This anxiety isn't messing around 🤦🏼‍♀️! I'm 95% sure I'm 4 weeks 4 days today! Xx

Sending lots of love to you today.

It is REALLY hard, I had never appreciated the anxiety you get through when pregnant *this is my first pregnancy.

I know its hard, but I felt exactly the same way, so decided to throw them all away and just wait until my 7 week scan because it was unnecessary stress every morning. x

@Ldougal92 That was what I was thinking to bin them and just book in for a scan in a couple of weeks! I've never been the most patient person though 😂! Definitely feeling a lot better as the day goes on! Xx

Glad you are feeling better. Its hard because I think if anything was to go wrong, it is going to happen regardless if we take tests or not, so its just extra stress we definitely don't need at the mo :) x

@Ldougal92

Antibiotics isn't a bad shout actually. I've got a sty under my eyelid currently and I've only just recovered from Covid and been quite poorly with it. So I suppose those are good excuses. A bit run down and tired generally. And I might try sneak to the bar and get an non alcoholic koppaberg in a glass otter something just to throw off any suspicions 🤣 and say "just thought I would have 1" sort of thing... ooooft. This is gonna be fun 🙃
Honestly the most difficult time upcoming in terms of Xmas celebrations!! (If all goes to plan) I think my 12 weeks will be between Xmas and new year, so I think I'll try get a private scan at 11 weeks or something so I know if I can tell people at Christmas or not...

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 12:41

@clouise30 Eugh I'm sorry you've been feeling so anxious about it. If removing testing helps you. Then yeah I think that's a good plan! It's all too new for me to be anxious really yet. But I think I'm almost expecting the worst to protect myself I think.
The whole thing is an absolute head mash!!

gg9320 · 04/11/2022 12:43

@thelma57 congratulations! I can really relate to the shock! I have wee’d on so many tests 😂 This is also my first and I don’t have any friends with children so no one to relate this experience to (very grateful for this thread!!)

@EmmRach my GP said after 6 weeks but it could vary place to place. I hope your appointment goes well and provides reassurance!!

I'm using the November detox excuse! Although most of our friends know we're ttc so I'm sure we won't be fooling anyone 😅🙈

Otherwise you could say you had a big night last night and stick to tonics with a slice of lemon so it looks like a G+T

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 14:57

I've gone with the antibiotics route. I've text to warn in advance. And if I can slide in a cheeky tonic or non alcoholic beer or something then hopefully that'll throw them off the scent.

Thanks team.... eeee and so the deception begins, on day 2 🙈🙈

Daniki · 04/11/2022 15:23

@Butterfliesandroses there is a bad bug going around so could be that? Always worth mentioning to doc!

I have a wedding tomorrow so im saying I'm on antibiotics which isn't actually a lie as I am on them as have a kidney infection 🤣
Hate the lying, don't mind people speculating as long as they don't ask straight out that's so awkward then!

thelma57 · 04/11/2022 15:34

Quick question, I’m just 4 weeks and keep getting pains in my tummy, not very painful but almost like scratching/nipping from the inside, is this just little embryo getting snuggled in?

Butterfliesandroses · 04/11/2022 17:21

@Daniki I do wish I'd contacted the GP today to let them know I'm pregnant and poorly. Hopefully it will be gone by Monday but if not I'll let them know then.

It is the absolute worst when people flat out ask you. It's incredibly insensitive and rude. I read somewhere once that the best thing in that situation is to put it back on the person and make them feel uncomfortable for having asked by saying something like "are you saying I look pregnant?". I've never used it myself but I think it could be tempting!

Daniki · 04/11/2022 17:24

@Butterfliesandroses if it continues is there an out of hours doc you can ring? Even for peace of mind! Oh I know it's so rude and most people have the wit not to say it but there's one or two that doesn't think before they speak 🥴🤣

elowheez · 04/11/2022 17:26

Anybody going to go get their flu jab soon? I'm not sure if I need to contact the GP and they will then offer it to me or to just go to the pharmacy and have it done that way

MendaciousMabel · 04/11/2022 19:47

Has anyone else found that food just tastes so much better than normal in really early pregnancy? Not sure if I'm just fat or if it's hormones 😂
