LadyVictorianSqualor · 31/01/2008 18:02

I've shoved some pjs, comfy clothes, undies hairbrush and my deo in there, oh and a book, some change and some cans of coke!
Hoping to come home but if I am there a while that will be plenty til I can send DP home/shopping for other things.
I dont have any pads but at my hospital they have loads anyway.

LadyVictorianSqualor · 31/01/2008 21:06

I'm back, tis all fine, they did an internal and a smear to check for infections etc, they just wanted to be extra sure incase my cervix was weak from the LEEP.

Peachy · 31/01/2008 21:10

Its good that tehy charecked- and better you're home!

Hope you're feeling OK now.

Bainmarie · 31/01/2008 21:44

Glad to hear all was ok LVS.

elfsmummy · 31/01/2008 21:46

Just catching up and for a moment there I thought I was going to come across the news that VS had had her baby!! Glad that everything is ok and they re-assured you.

We're finally moving house on Wednesday so all your talk of "only x number of weeks left" etc has really freaked me out as we have literally nothing ready!

I did just order a really cute giraffe mural for the new nursery though here We got the pink elephant one for DDs new room too. So excited.

We've had our summer holiday to Corfu booked for about 18 months as there's 20 of our family going to a villa (in fact this baby was concieved to fit in around the holiday!! ) but I was just wondering if anyone has booked flight for any of the unborns yet? Does that make sence. We have our accomodation booked but no flights as I figured that the bump would have to be here first??

Glad you're feeling brighter scorpio. If its any consolation I hit a blue period just after my wedding (and that was without all the pregnancy hormones) I think its natural as its all you think about for so long, its almost an anti-climax! I can't even imagine how you're managing to juggle all the stuff you're currently juggling!

velbels · 31/01/2008 21:54

VS - So glad your back and that everything is ok. Hope you gat a good night sleep tonight.

TLSM · 31/01/2008 22:14

chipmonkey · 01/02/2008 00:32

scorpio1 · 01/02/2008 08:37

Glad you ok VS

scorpio1 · 01/02/2008 09:21

oh and i am feeling much better today, have even done my fringe and put make-up on! plus am going in to town in a bit, may get muffin and a new pg mag. Have decided that im not going to have money worried because i have enough to pay everything and some left over. am going to ignore MIL/DSS issues. Reilly will get help, so thats ok. his temper however is but thats a long term thing anyway.Uni can have assignments when they are done and when it doesnt stress me or millie.

Me and DH are going out tonight to our friends engagement party, so that will be nice.

How is everyone today?

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 01/02/2008 09:49

LVS - glad you hear you are okay - that could not have been much fun...

Elfsmummy - you can't book baby on the flight before they are born - I just queried that for our trip back to SA in Dec and they said no - book once baby is born - baby doesn't need a seat anyway.

Peachy · 01/02/2008 09:56

elfsmummy- not just X weeks- today I can officially say 'this baby is due next ont'-

I know that's technically, what with it being the first and baby due end of next month but anyway....

MW coming next week to order in entonox etc and give me list of homebirth stuff to acquire, have some odds and ends- lavender oil, sister sent me her birth ball, etc- and mean old Dh won't let me buy Cath Kidston oilcloth as waterproof covering , but it's all underway.

Can't wait to be rid of the hormones- burst into tears every time I mention ds3 atm which is embarassing!.

Everyone at school this morning was telling me I looked great and blooming- maybe I should wear makeup more often pmsl!. Not mascara though, it'd only be down my cheeks by mid-day!

Bored and at a loose end today- meant to be at PA meeting but only me and one other turned up. Vice Chair has resigned because of the school being a PITA (debating whether to tip her off about the lack of child protection policy and risk assessments that Dep head told me about, suspect I will)- Chair didn't manage it and suspect she is avoiding me as I mentined a comment she made about DS3 costing the school too much in my lengthy complaint to the LEA last week, and I think the Head may ahve Had Words (about confidentitality you understand, not the disability discrimination aspect or the fact she's been told wrong and the LEA fund him anyway)...... so i was the only Committee member there and I would happily see the palce closed which doesn't exactly bode well LOL!

Anyway!

Rambling on here, should go tidy up I suppose. Car back from garage today and doesn't need replacing (boo- I was after a 7 seater Volvo, dh says we can have one but not until the summer) so maybe will actually get to leave the village?

Peachy · 01/02/2008 09:58

Scorpio good cahnce addressing teh dyspraxia will help greatly if Reilly ahs temper issues, frustration and self esteem issues common in undiagnosed kids- sounds like you are absolutely doing the best thing for him.

SuzeM · 01/02/2008 10:36

Peachy, I can't believe you are due so soon!

Scorpio, good to read that you are feeling more positive. You have a lot on your plate.

Lady VS and Scampmum, glad that you are ok.

I am currently trying to talk myself out of buying a Bugaboo (well, the price helps eliminate it), I thought I'd hate it but it is my favourite. I feel like a fashion victim!

Peachy · 01/02/2008 10:38

Of course I am unlikely to say ''this baby is due next ont' because that wouldn't amke sense! month! Ooops!

Peachy · 01/02/2008 10:38

Suze have ytou tried the Bugaboo? I know lots love it, but I have small hands and I couldn't grip it very well- found it really uncomfortable in fact.

Scampmum · 01/02/2008 10:41

Peachy LOL re makeup! exactly what happens to me on the rare occasions I can be bothered - "wow, you look great" (subtext = compared to your usual knackered and haggard presentation). Apart from my sis, who says "oooh, you're wearing makeup" in a manner designed to piss me off in that way only sisters can. (She has her eyeliner tattooed on!) Thank you Bobbi Brown for my 'pregnancy bloom'

LVS, so glad to hear all is OK. I have had a cone biopsy on my cervix and last time round they measured my cervix, got it wrong and told me I had a 1/6 chance of going into labour pre-33 weeks. Did they measure your cervix this time?

My tummy was much better last night but have also been having contractions (not really painful, though) when walking today. I think that it's just a coincidence that BH have started in earnest now - they do feel different to yesterday and am sure I wouldn't be worried had I not had that horrible crampy scare yesterday.
