I was just about to post and find out what happened to everyone after lunch today. I thought for a minute my PC had gone wonky.

velbels · 31/01/2008 15:55

mine had! It wouldn't let me see page 8!

scorpio1 · 31/01/2008 15:56

i have perked up a bit now

velbels · 31/01/2008 16:03

Cool Scopio, but fee free to vent anytime.

I am having left over Spag Bol, defrosing atm, and maybe mixed veg []

KaybeeandZak · 31/01/2008 16:03

hi everyone, i havent been on this thread before, but am due April 16th. I have a ds who is 14mths old and am having another boy!

Scampmum · 31/01/2008 16:11

We are having spag bol, though DH has invited his colleague and girlfriend over so have to posh it up a bit with salad etc.

Have been at home (again!) today as had really bad stomach cramps in the night and when I woke up - was really scared was going into labour but it wasn't really regular or anything so doc said monitor and try a glycerine suppository . Feel better now (it worked) but still a bit shaken.

Scorpio, all bank charges like that have been ruled unlawful and can be reclaimed (if you can be bothered to go through all your old statements you can get back any overdraft limit fees/cheque bounce fees etc - some friends of mine got £1900 each!!) - they should AT LEAST refund you these. You can download a letter to send in with your old statements if you have them and they will likely just send you a cheque (although they can in theory take it to court but most banks will settle before you actually get there).

Check this link or do a google search - obviously don't want to be giving you EVEN more to do but might help you get away for that weekend!

Scampmum · 31/01/2008 16:12

Oh, and don't worry, I kill 50% of threads I post on! trying not to take it personally

scorpio1 · 31/01/2008 16:13

Scampmum these are the only charges i have ever had. I did hear something like anything over £15 is unlawful.....and they charged £38 a go. Will check it out before i head down there.

Scampmum · 31/01/2008 16:23

Wow, well done! When I was a student I think I had loads. I am very confident they will refund them for you!

I really need to have a shower and tidy the house and go shopping before I go and get DD from nursery. Can someone please make me get my fat arse off the sofa?

northeastmummy · 31/01/2008 16:23

Velbels, I think that's because page 8 didn't exist. Everyone just went really really quiet .

Sorry to hear about your scare Scamp - what do glycerine suppositories do? I've not heard of that before!

We're having quiche for dinner that my Mum brought last night when she came to babysit. She's really looking after us these days!!

northeastmummy · 31/01/2008 16:25

Scamp - do it tomorrow. I think you should stay on the sofa as long as you possibly can and rest up before picking DD up!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 31/01/2008 16:28
  • spag bol for us too!
TLSM · 31/01/2008 16:31

Oh Scamp when was ruled unlawful I tried to get my money back from Nationwide before Christmas and was told that they would wait until they heard the ruling before letting me know wether or not i would get it! its about £350 so would be a right bonus if I got it!

Scampmum · 31/01/2008 16:44

Glycerine suppositories sort out constipation!! quite unpleasant but certainly worked. I have suffered dreadfully both pregnancies, this one worse I think because I am literally having to force water down - do not know why as have always drunk loads of water, it's like I've been allergic to it for the last six months. Last time I specifically remember drinking 5L a day (maybe over the top) and this time I am struggling to manage 2L.

Have emailed DH to ask if we can have his colleague round another time. Not even that much tidying to do, stupid stuff like loading and putting on dishwasher (!! not even unloading), folding washing, tidying living room (DD has entered the 'shredding' phase, usually accompanied by 'oh dear' and a big grin) but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Scampatwo (DD was Scamp/Scamparoo) is leaping around ALL THE TIME. I love it but it really tires me out - is that ridiculous?

LadyVictorianSqualor · 31/01/2008 16:48

Ha, we had spagbol last night, we had sausages the ngiht before as well when everyoen else was having them, have no clue as to what to do tonight, I fancy chicken pie but I really cannot be bothered to amke one.

northeastmummy · 31/01/2008 16:51

Oooo - not nice Scamp. I think 2L of water a day isn't too bad compared to most people though!! I probably get through about that and I drink more water than most. Well done trying to put some of your jobs off for the night!

What age is DD? I'll look forward to the "shredding" phase ... NOT!! And of course it's not ridiculous that Scampatwo is tiring you out (my LO is known as Moo2 because DD is Millie Moo ) - it's hard work growing a baby!

Does anyone know if Suze73 is still around? I haven't seen her on here for a while. I know it's a long shot but just wondered if she had any hospital advice for Lanzarote ... just in case!!

northeastmummy · 31/01/2008 16:54

Buy one on the way home LVS!!

northeastmummy · 31/01/2008 16:54

Where did the Lady come from by the way?

PortAndLemon · 31/01/2008 16:56

Hello KaybeeandZak!

northeastmummy · 31/01/2008 16:59

Sorry KaybeeandZak - I meant to say hello too but got distracted by Scamps suppositories. I'm due April 19th and have an 18th month DD - and am expecting another girl. So similar situations really .

LadyVictorianSqualor · 31/01/2008 17:00

I am home!
BTW, TMI, but I just noticed some brown discharge, tell me it isnt my plug or a show or labour or anything like that! Please!

Scampmum · 31/01/2008 17:05

I had that the other day, LVS, panicked but nothing else happened (oh, apart from the night of 'contractions' - nearly two weeks apart, though). Generally (TMI) there's more stuff coming out, to the point where a couple of times I've started worrying that my waters are breaking.

LadyVictorianSqualor · 31/01/2008 17:09

I've had quite a bit of 'leakage' too iyswim and this has just scared me a bit!

Scampmum · 31/01/2008 17:15

Maybe call doctor/NHS direct for peace of mind but I wouldn't worry about it if there's no more.

LadyVictorianSqualor · 31/01/2008 17:31

I called my midwife and I have to g into hospital because I've had a cervical LEEP, so it could have weakened my cervix.
They told me to take a bag and I have no clue what to put in it!
Ha!
I kenw I shouldve packed one before now!
