Millie bump is smaller than Jamie bump Will have to post new bump pic soon.

How are you today VS?

eva07 · 14/02/2008 09:28

good morning all

at 7 cs. I like the name though
and at denny. only 7 more weeks... seems like yesterday, holding a pregnancy test showing two very pink stripes in my hands

I'm down with cystitis (infection of the bladder?) at the moment, and I'm really sick with having to run to the toilet every 10 minutes. can't do anything as it's only bearable when I lie down

hope y'all have a nice day today!

TLSM · 14/02/2008 09:35

oh you poor thing Eva07 I get that alot, good that they have caught it though as it can lead to a kidney infection which happen to me last pregnancy drink loads of water and cranberry juice it stops the burning

soph28 · 14/02/2008 09:35

hello ladies!

Not been on here for ages but I'm fine- nothing awful happened or anything, Just busy in RL!

Only scanned the last page or so. I don't know what sex I'm having but have one of each so doesn't really matter, though I think I'd like a boy, then dd will be in the middle.

Chipmonkey I can imagine how you feel but 4 boys will be lovely too! Anyway, I bet you end up with at least 12 grand daughters

Thought we had decided on names but dh has changed his mind again- he is SO fussy.

I suppose we could be saying hello to some babies soon? No chance from me, am due late April and am always late so could even be May! (oh I hope not!)

Going to the zoo today so got to go and make sandwiches.

Oh and bought a new buggy- a maxi cosi Mura 4 and it's lovely!

goodcatholicgirl · 14/02/2008 09:53

Denny185 - I resent that comment about my 'mahoosive bump' I think it was compact and bijou.......OK maybe not! Sorry to crash your thread, just seeing if there were any responses to wedding ring test. I will post something on chat. Talk soon luvvie

good morning all,

eva, try drinking a teaspoon of bicarb in a glass of water (tastes horrible) but gets rid of the sting really quickly.

I'm thinking today my bump hasn't grown for a while, or am i just getting used to the size of it? or maybe lo has just moved round

eva07 · 14/02/2008 10:21

thanks for the tips, just texted dp to bring cranberry juice when he gets home

bicarb-water really tastes (not envious but get-a-green-face like)

Mollyfloss · 14/02/2008 10:46

Morning ladies

SuzeM: One of my friends couldn't understand why i found out the sex of the baby. he made it sound as if I had ruined the surprise - as if it wasn't a surprise when I found out! I loved finding out, it was magical, especially as DH and I guessed ourselves from the scan which was then confirmed by the Doctor. It was lovely and made everything so much moire exciting!

Chipmonkey: Don't be disappointed (although I think you are being really honest in admitting this). Boys are great, so much easier to get on with than girls. In fact at the beginning of this pregnancy I just assumed I was having a boy. I have three brothers and no sisters and I do wonder if I am going to clash a lot with my little girl (it was often war at home with me and my Mum although we get on great now even though we are very different).

The fabulous thing is that we are all having kids! I have a friend who got married last year and has had 3 miscarriages since then. So it looks like it more of a problem than the regular 'bad luck miscarriages'. Also, she is 37 with no kids so I think she must be quite worried. I feel so bad for her but there's not much I can do or say being pregnant...

SuzeM · 14/02/2008 11:10

Chipmonkey, congrats on your little boy. I have two brothers and can't imagine having a sister, let alone a daughter (I also often clashed with my mum). You probably will have all granddaughters! Come back and tell us on Gransnet.

Molly, your poor friend, that must be so hard for her.

Some middle-aged biddy bashed right into my stomach as I was standing up to get off the tube this morning, in her hurry to get my seat. I wanted to kick her. Grrrr.

Scorpio, yes, that is the pronounciation. Well, that's how I pronounce it anyway.

VS, hope you are feeling better.

SuzeM · 14/02/2008 11:15

True enough molly - I've only had one MC and when I start to whinge about PG being hard I have to stop and remind myself how lucky I am to have a healthy LO growing nicely inside me.

Poor eva - cystitus is horrid. Lots of fluid and cranberry juice as other people have said. Hope you feel better soon ((((hugs))))

Jamie is still ill and lying down on the sofa, although is eating toast and talking, so all good.

Reilly has gone out for the day with my friend so that helps i have nearly survived half term!!

DH is away from Saturday morning to Monday late; but it will be ok.

I don't know what to do tomorrw; think its a bit mean to take them out if Jamie has recently been ill.

Sheds75 · 14/02/2008 11:28

Hi Lennsuey

Soph73 · 14/02/2008 11:47

Oops, sorry about that Chicken & chips for lunch as Thursday is always chip-day at school so that keeps me going However, some bugger has nicked my vinegar out of the fridge so am well ticked off

Soph73 · 14/02/2008 11:49

My computer is also playing up big-time & I´m trying to computerise the Library before I go on ML. Soph28 - my due date has been moved to 5 May so you & I could be the first May babies

VictorianSqualor · 14/02/2008 11:50

Morning all.
Heres you lot going soppy about Valentines day and I'm on another thread moaning about consumerism

I hope you all get made to feel special today though (and every other bloody day! don't let them off with one day a year!)

Feeling a bit better today, just my sinuses hurt now.

Soph73 · 14/02/2008 11:52

Mollyfloss - my best friend & her husband can´t have children & she desperately wants a child of her own. Unfortunately she´s 42 now & finding it really difficult to get accepted for adoption. Makes me & extremely blessed that DH & I have never had a problem conceiving.

Mollyfloss · 14/02/2008 11:53

Peachy, hope you're feeling better. Flowers sound lovely. We're just having a meal at home tonight for Valentine's. don't really like the idea of eating in a restaurant on Valentine's night with all the other couples...

I'm off out to get the groceries now and I think I will have my lunch in the local café on the way. I also have to find storage baskets for under the cot. It's not easy to get the right size...

EllieG · 14/02/2008 12:20

I hinted heavily and got some flowers. Don't really care about valentines though cos DP is a soppy old git and tells me loves me about a million times a day anyway [smug emoticon]
That said, card and flowers were nice all same!
Just had leftover pasta from tea last night heated up for lunch mmmmm carbs.....

OP posts:
PortAndLemon · 14/02/2008 13:04

Did someone want a Moses basket (remembering back a couple of days)? I've just realised that we actually have one left over from DS, which I'm not planning to use as we'll be going for an Amby hammock. So if anyone in London / South East wants it for free, speak up...
