know what i had for lunch? Piece of french bread and hummus, two slices of cheesecake. Not feeling like eating much in the evening at moment, so scoff when i can! [that's my excuse]

VictorianSqualor · 13/02/2008 13:40

I had three burgers, but they were just little ones in bread rolls, and I hardly ate the rolls.
Plus that's probably all I'll eat today.

EllieG · 13/02/2008 13:44

I've also had 2 bits of cake.

Peachy · 13/02/2008 13:50

I had rubbish- sausage roll, water. And alst twp pieces of mint turkish delight left from my holby fest last night

VS a chceck after 3 should be fine, but do keep an eye on it. Not really worth risk is it? Esp. as if you did have BP issues its your placenta that would be damaged and your ain't exactly without a history!

VictorianSqualor · 13/02/2008 13:52

Oh Peachy, stop being so sensibel
I'm going to call my docs in a minute and see if the nurse can check my BP, it's just round the corner from DD's school, so hopefully I'll eb able to eb seen then.

Annieroo · 13/02/2008 13:55

Good day to you all,

have just had noodles for lunch and they weren't very nice - am still hungry!!

has anyone suffered with nose bleeds during their pg at all? i usually have a small bit of blood in the morning when i blow my nose, but now it's bright red and almost flowing (sorry of TMI)

Soph73 · 13/02/2008 14:22

I had tuna, veg & potato croquettes for lunch. Am saving my yoghurt for later! Annie - I´ve had a small bit of blood when I blow my nose every now & then but not flowing. Haven´t had it for a while though.

VictorianSqualor · 13/02/2008 14:24

i'VE HAD NOSE BLEEDS TOO, NORMALLY NOT UNLESS i BLOW MY NOSE AND IT DOESNT ACTUALLY BLEED, BUT THE OTHER DAY IT WAS POURING.
oops caps.
I have an amnt with the nurse at 3pm to get my blood pressure checked so hopefully all will be fine.

Soph73 · 13/02/2008 14:25

Oh & I do have cheese & cucumber sandwiches & chocolate natilla (custardy type thingy) on standby for this afternoon

Sheds75 · 13/02/2008 14:27

Jamie is spread out on the sofa; he has ahad a sleep for the last hour; he is all hot and poorly, even though he has had full dose of calpol.

EllieG · 13/02/2008 14:40

Poor little man. Hope he is better soon. Give him a hug from his MN aunties

My nose bleeds every time I blow it, sometimes lots sometimes not. Think it's just one of the being pg things.

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 13/02/2008 14:46

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 13/02/2008 14:46

I also get blow your nose nosebleeds - preg related for sure....

Soph73 · 13/02/2008 14:48

Scorpio -

scorpio1 · 13/02/2008 14:58

Was at the bus stop yesterday; i live in a road FULL of old biddies, like 70 year olds.

One woman who i know from sight says 'Oh, so you're having another baby then?' in a scornful sort of voice. emphasis on the another.

Felt like saying - umm, im married, we pay for our own children, i look after them myself and am trying to get a degree - bugger off!!

Millie is hardly my millionth child is she!!

anyone else had funny comments lately?

Soph73 · 13/02/2008 14:58

Of course, now that I started talking about food I´ve just had to go and eat one of my back-up sandwiches. I blame you lot for getting me thinking about them

Soph73 · 13/02/2008 15:18

Scorpio - why is it that if you´re young with kids some people automatically think (a) you´re stupid & (b) you must be sponging off the state?

Soph73 · 13/02/2008 15:19

Oh & of course you´re definitely unmarried!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 13/02/2008 15:31

Agree with Soph - you would think that with them being 70+ they would be impressed with you having them young as I bet most of them did as that was the norm in their day!

Soph73 · 13/02/2008 15:53

Unfortunately Mum2b so many older people automatically assume that young women nowadays with kids are single & unemployed. It was "expected" in their day blah, blah, blah!

SuzeM · 13/02/2008 16:00

People are so pass-remarkable.

A guy in work calls me fatty all the time. I just give him filthy looks.

I told my dad the name we have chosen (Emilia) at the weekend, he liked it, to my surprise, but then I overheard him complaining to his girlfriend saying that I should name the baby after my mother. It will be her middle name but not her first name. My mum hated her name, I know for a fact!

People keep asking me why I found out the sex of the baby, which gets on my nerves. I found out because I wanted too, obviously!

I could go on but I'll contain myself.

SuzeM · 13/02/2008 16:04

"wanted to", not "wanted too"
