Sheds75 · 07/02/2008 15:25

VS I wold go 02 as you will no doubt be applying for an LEA grant or something similar

sagitta · 07/02/2008 15:29

I agree with sheds...

scorpio1 · 07/02/2008 15:39

you need to put 02.

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 15:50

Arghhhhhhhhhhh I'm doing the bloody 'statement'
I didnt have to do this last time as I applied direct to uni

sagitta · 07/02/2008 15:56

Keep at it VS - it'll be worth it in the end...good luck

scorpio1 · 07/02/2008 15:59

it does take a while to do it VS, aim to have it in by this time next week

Have just got these on ebay for £16 BN. in the pink.

like?

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 16:05

Awww, my baby is going to be going native, ie a sheepskin cloth I've pinched from DP's car washing box.
I still only have a bag of nappies and my sling
Though I have decided to get this cot now as it can have one side off so is practically the same as a bedside cot, plus if the base isn;t the right height I'm sure dp can just put some new holes in the legs, from what I rememebr from DD's&DS's cots thats all that held the base in, the large screws through holes that made the basethe right heigh, so that's what we are aiming to do, add a mattress from argos for £27 and we can get the whole cot, delivered for £96! BARGAIN!

SuzeM · 07/02/2008 16:08

Scorpio, they are adorable. I was looking at www.babyshoos.com/ earlier, though I really shouldn't pass on my shoe addiction!

scorpio1 · 07/02/2008 16:09

look for inch blue booties as well, ebay or google.

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 16:14

I want DP to come home!
I need him to read my statement!!
I'm so impatient when it comes to things like this, I decide I have to get it done and want ti doen there and then, goodness knows how I managed pregnancy three times(almost)!

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 16:23

btw, apparently MAM are giving away free breast pumps here there is only 500 though so hurry.

velbels · 07/02/2008 16:58

Thanks VS have filled it in, will wait and see if I was quick enough.

Frustratingly, while I was out, I think they tried to deliver my sling

PortAndLemon · 07/02/2008 17:41

I had a healthy sweet potato with feta and sunblush tomato for lunch . See, I'm getting the hang of this eating thing already... Also have been reading up on GD and from what I can see so long as my blood sugars stay fairly stable there's no reason not to wait for spontaneous VBAC, so I am back to feeling very positive about that.

Tried registering for the MAM thing, we shall see.

TLSM · 07/02/2008 17:48

Oh thanks VS just applied I also Applied for the Dyson trial on MN and managed to get chosen you get to keep the Dyson after Had my GTT test today which was boring more than anything as you have to stay and wait for the 2 hours but its done now will get the results next week! Went to Mothercare and sare the stunning PJs Scorpio has on in her millie bump pics look horrid on me My DS Nursery have also said they will pay for a new coat so I got him one the size bigger from Next so will last him longer I have baked a cake washed my three pairs of crocs and am now going to pick up DS from nursery have a lovely evening all

Peachy · 07/02/2008 17:55

me too TLSM- fab isn't it?

I'm supposed to have the GTT thing, AAU mw said to ask my community MW but she's far more relaxed and probably won't bother. She seems very focussed on the homebirth, so will probably avoid if it threatens that knowing her. which overall will be a LOT easier!

kids are home for half term now- gawd! here we go......

velbels · 07/02/2008 19:10

Wow on the free Dyson!! How did you hear of it?

EllieG · 07/02/2008 19:24

You lot talk sooo much! I was only not on for a day and about a million posts to catch up on.

SCAMPMUM DON'T LEAVE US!!!!

Although obviously if you choose to you will be super-welcome back in 29 days time. But we will miss you x

scorpio I am very jealous of your chinese. DP told me last night that he thinks he needs to 'go on a little bit of a diet' as he weighed himself and was a bit shocked. So I made very healthy chicken, tomato, brown rice veg combo for dinner. Wasn't as bad as it sounds but it wasn't as good as yummy chinese

Had a very funny moment today - picked up DSD from her Gran's and she asked me if I had ever had a crush on a teacher when I was at school. Turns out there is a new student teacher and she thinks he is 'really great and so fun and better looking than Troy out of High School Musical!' but she can't talk to him because she gets all nervous....bless. She's getting all growed up. She made me PROMISE not to tell her Daddy 'cos he's a boy and boys don't understand'. Had to listen to all this with a very straight face obviously, but was SOOOO sweet.

SuzeM · 07/02/2008 22:34

Peachy and TLSM, a free Dyson, excellent!

Scorpio, hope you enjoyed your Chinese mea;.

Re the questions, the worst one I was asked was "was the baby planned?" (from a colleague too, not even someone whom I know all that well). I thought that was so rude. I would never ask anyone that!

I'm going to Dublin tomorrow-last time going on my own! Have a good weekend.

VictorianSqualor · 07/02/2008 22:36

Me too Suze, and scorpio as well iirc, you do know you can;t plan more than two children don;t you?

scorpio1 · 08/02/2008 08:20

ooh yeah me too, so many people have assumed she is an accident

She is actually my longed-for fought for went through hell for third child (DH was non too keen when i said i wanted a 3rd - nearly 3 years ago).

Someone who i told even asked me if i had told DH they thought i hadnt as he would be mad and sad i was pg!!! I restrained myself ALOT then......

TLSM · 08/02/2008 09:25

God Scorpio what a git well done with the restraining i think they would have got a few choice words from me!!!

I think my aunties was the best response I got "why on earth would you go and do that you havent even lost all the weight you put on with MAx you wil be the size of a house" if she wasnt my auntie and I didnt know her problems I think I would have slapped her! another nice thing she said when I was PG with Max it was at my 26 birthday party she said " oh look at you eating cake dont you think you have had enough I bet if you get hungry you'll eat the baby mistaking him for cake" again had to ignore it!

On a brighter note I have booked my Holiday we are going to Torquay the last week of June will be there for DS birthday which should be fun heres where we are going Here

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 08/02/2008 09:29

Gosh people can be so rude!

We also had Chinese last night - made me really sick though - feel very ropey today. Baby very active at the moment and made a really big movement - felt really strange - like the whole body of the baby was trying to do something. DH now worried and wants me to phone the MW, but baby is still moving so I am not sure if I should be concerned or not? I know that when you throw up it doesn't affect the baby, so what do you think - should I call the MW or not?

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 08/02/2008 09:30
