TLSM, it sounds great. Not sure if I want to spend the extra money for the Vibe, I read it is only 1 lb lighter, can that be right?! Enjoy your scan.

Ziko looks good and light.

scorpio1 · 01/02/2008 12:26

I think people have differing views Scmapmum - i personally teach them to go to sleep alone, started putting ds2 down awake at 6 weeks. others have different views. im not sure i would leave him/her cry though for more than 5 mins

Scampmum · 01/02/2008 12:33

I know, that's why I have to be respectful, right? At least now I know why she's stopped phoning me for advice - obviously doesn't agree with any of my indulgent parent nonsense! To be fair I don't know how long she is leaving her to cry. I will keep my lip firmly buttoned. Actually I probably won't need to as I'll be fast asleep!

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 12:53

I'm a put baby to sleep on its own type of person too, but not a let baby cry type.
You may find it's not as bad as it seems.

Scampmum · 01/02/2008 12:57

I'm probably reading too much into the fact I know she was reading SWCBN!

Lunch - salad (spinach, lambs lettuce, cucumber, tomato, carrot, coleslaw and lots of sunflower and pumpkin seeds) and chicken, avocado and sunblush tomato sandwich on granary.

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 13:12

Ha!Say no more

Sheds75 · 01/02/2008 13:18

afternoon all, just back from the hospital, all ok and no need to go back unless MW thinks there is a problem .

just scoffed down left over beef stew with a jacket potatoe..... soooooo tasty

on the wieght side of things at the scan last week we found out LO was 1.8Kg and today he was measured above average size !!!!!!!!!!

paranoidmummy · 01/02/2008 13:21

vs, you joke about the weight of lo but at my scan 2 weeks ago they estimated baby's weight at nearly 4lbs is that terrible? is my baby going to be a porker???? i just presumed they were a bit out with their estimate. oh dear...

with grobags scorpio i got 1 tog just cos i wasn't sure and thought if baby is chilly then i'll put a blanky on it but if too hot then it'd be no point having it. does that make sense?!

regarding buggy talk i got my bug cameleon last wkend and i really love it. however i think its not for everyone, i think i must just be a sheep . for putting up and down they have changed mechanism and the 2008 model seems ok to do. trust me i am normally shit at that kind of thing!

Peachy · 01/02/2008 13:36

Gosh when ds1 was born he weighed 2.414kg!

Peachy · 01/02/2008 13:44

And you lot with your healthy lunches- I am sat here interested ine ating only one thing. Raw broccolli. I am weired, am I not?

scorpio1 · 01/02/2008 13:46

Ewwwww - il ike it cooked, but still.....

i had egg mayo sarnie and carrot sticks, orange juice. may eat my creme egg in a minute if i can find something to bribe ds2 with whilst i eat it!

Have suddenley got very tired.

paranoidmummy · 01/02/2008 13:50

you are all so healthy! i had a dominos pizza

that is why i'm going to end up with a jerry-springer-esque fatso baby... and probably a ruined fanjo from the sumo wrestler's exit! oh well, i'll still love my chubster

Peachy · 01/02/2008 13:50

I think its low iron induced cravings, tbh. Had to come off the preganday as they amde me be sick, and the replacements aren't quite as strong.

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 13:50

Paranoidmummy, I wasn't joking
At 32 weeks DD was born weighing 5lb 1.5 oz.

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 13:51

Hang on a minute!
Peachy, the pregnanday made you sick you say?
Hmmmm, my sickness has come back with a vengeance, and I've just started taking my pregna tablets again cos I have low iron.
Coincedence?

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 13:53

DS just asked me if on the 'pooter it says chi chi want to eat dominos'
He meant real dominoes as he is tryign to feed them to the cat, but how weird that PM had just mentioned the pizza!

scorpio1 · 01/02/2008 13:54

can you get that iron stuff you put in a drink?

Peachy · 01/02/2008 13:54

LVS they amde me sick with EVERY pregnancy- personally i think its the folic acid, when I have up on that the HG eased up as well.

Yet tesco iron tablets with no added folic acid is fine.

Might be worth a swap?

scorpio1 · 01/02/2008 13:55

my bitch of a cat scratched Jamie this morning. she escaped before i got her

although i suppose he shouldnt pull her around so much....

Peachy · 01/02/2008 13:55

That spatone iron stuff is meant to be good, car has been in garage so i ahven't ben able to get to boots to by any but worth a go.

paranoidmummy · 01/02/2008 13:57

wow vs, that's a brill weight for 32 weeks! was she ok as she was bigger?

LadyVictorianSqualor · 01/02/2008 14:07

I'll try getting some when I do me shopping this week.
Scorpio my poor cat has scratched DS and DD a number of times, but they get warned, I think I'd scrtach them if they tried forcing dominoes down my throat! She's so placid normally bless her but she gets really fed up!
Our old cat ran away because of the kdis, but when we moved house DP's mum saw her in the garden as she put some stuff in the van so we managed to get her and DP's mum has her now, she legs it as soon as she hears the kids go in the house though!
PM, she had to work harder to support her body because of her size, her organs werent mature enough to cope properly iyswim, well mainly her lungs, she was breathign but against the ventilator and gave herself a pnemothorax so she had to eb sedtaed for a few weeks whilst it all fixed itself, apart from that she was fine.

paranoidmummy · 01/02/2008 15:34

oh bless her vs, that made me come over all bleary eyed. i'm glad she was ok tho, makes me scared to think little ones can be born now. they'd be so ickle!

EllieG · 01/02/2008 16:00

Flippin' heck you people can talk! I will wade through in a mo to see what's been happening. Hope you're feeling better today though scorpio.
I've been signed off for a week! Went to ante natal yesterday for check up and the midwife said 'You look exhausted - I think you should take a few days off' I replied by bursting into tears and going 'I'm so tirrrrrreeeed!' so that was that. They gave me a sick note for a week and hurried the mad pg lady out before she made a fuss
Have had lovely day today though - DP has taken day off and we have dunk lots of tea and cuddled on sofa and chilled our boots.

scorpio1 · 01/02/2008 16:04

ahh Ellie your MW sounds lovely! at least you can get some proper rest now and maybe do some baby shopping or something before you get too big. wish someone would sign me off for a week!!

Yes i am much better today, still havent told DH about his ebay money but i will have to today...i can pay him back in a couple of months.

We are going out tonight, friends engagement party. i always love going out with DH, feel proud he is mine iyswim? (women seem to love him - many a time has a barmaid asked him for number whilst i have been just behind him and not visible) We are going to bus it into town and get a kebab or something on way home
