My twins are due in May and it would be nice to have other multiple-mums-to-be to chat to!

millie try some floridex (sp) and spatone (which is a water enriched with iron) and lots of lovely red meat, green veg and kidney beans to help your iron.

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 30/03/2008 15:19

Yes I am feeling tired and fed up too!!! Can hardly sleep, hardly stand, hardly walk, and i am only 31 weeks! I actually wondered yesterday whether anyone's belly had ruptured before birth! I just feel so huge. Only one more week at work though, i wouldn't bother but have to organise a bloody strike next Friday. I just want to stay on the sofa!

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 30/03/2008 15:19

Modsa - how's the feeding going?

PazzaPlusTwo · 02/04/2008 16:13

neenz you're organising a strike?!

i'm huge too - with sexy stretchmarks all over the front

millie have the iron tablets helped ?

millie1 · 02/04/2008 20:36

Hi all

Yes ... I wondered about the strike too Neenz - what a way to finish up!!

Mars - thanks for the tips re iron. I'd been taking Spatone for about 6w but have been told that unless my iron levels were high to begin with, it wouldn't do the job. Can I take the Floradix along with Galfer? A few less dizzy spells Pazza but not really feeling much better. They say it takes a couple of weeks to kick in - saw midwife yesterday and had blood taken for them to do 'iron studies' test. When results come back they'll know whether B12 is also low and also mentioned some sort of iron infusion ... someone else might know more about this. I just want them UP UP UP before the section!

Oh babies have turned ... both breech now

PazzaPlusTwo · 03/04/2008 10:01

Am in the breech club too - seems LO's have decided they're too posh to be pushed?!

Still time for twin 1 to turn but as they've been in exactly the same positions for 3 months now, it seems unlikely.

Funny isn't it, they kept telling me it was just a coincidence that each time I had a scan they were in the same position, saying they were surely somersaulting around all the time ... I KNEW they weren't.

Don't you just love consultants ... mine was an hour late coming in and they said 'oh he had something else to do'. Oh really, and I didn't? Well if it's delivering a baby then fair enough but why not just say that?! He didn't even apologise and I couldn't be bothered mentioning it, I already picked a fight over the weekend with a really pissed woman who was smoking inside at the comedy club, and it just wound me up even more. Deep breaths, peace and love ...

twinkle1 · 03/04/2008 10:14

Morning all,
Im off for more scans next week cant wait to see the babys again
Is it me or do you feel like you have a couple of wild ferrets in your stomach???? One will start and wake the other and then they seem to fight for a comfy space????? DS1 asked if i was sure there were only two not four because of how much my stomach was moving
Hope you are all well
Twinkle

PazzaPlusTwo · 03/04/2008 11:18

Hi Twinkle

Mine are certainly ferreting around a lot more now. It is really ticklish around my belly button where I have a fantastic collection of stretchmarks. They are also kicking higher and lower than before ... but generally mine are quite quiet. Because they're girls maybe? My mum said I was pretty quiet in there.

PazzaPlusTwo · 09/04/2008 14:13

Anyone still around on this thread??!

millie1 · 15/04/2008 15:18

Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't been around for a while. My husband has been really ill but thankfully seems to be making a recovery & was discharged from hospital today. I'm 33w tomorrow and absolutely done in ... 10+days of communting 90 miles e/way to hospital didn't help along with the stress but am also v anaemic so am on double iron and now 3 x vit B12 injs a week to boot. And to make matters even worse, my groin mucles on one side seem to have given up altogether - it feels like someone is permanently twisting a knife in my side. Groan .

Anyway, glad to hear that everyone else is still around - how many weeks is everyone now and how are you feeling?

I've an a/natal apt day after tomorrow and wonder will he move my delivery date forward (currently scheduled for 38+1). Have so much to organise - need to get buggy ordered, esp as there's a 4 wk delivery on it but have carseats and shall do all else via internet as neither of us can drive distances at the moment.

Sorry for such a 'woe is me' post but would love to hear how everyone else is .

twinkle1 · 16/04/2008 09:55

Hi millie,
Glad to hear that DH is on the road to recovery. You must try to take it easy now
I am 25 weeks now but im soooo huge plus i seem to have hospital visits all the time.I know what you mean about shopping i want to shop but my body says NO.... Internet shopping is great though.
All my children are off school with various illnesses
The birth well c/section seems to be coming around sooo fast, i still have lots to do the builders are not arriving till 15 May Arghhhh. oh well
take care
Twinkle

PazzaPlusTwo · 17/04/2008 18:01

Hi Millie and Twinkle

Millie sorry to hear about your DH being ill, anaemia and groin pain. Hope you both feel better soon.

Twinkle hope your LO's are on the mend too. When is your CS date?

I'm 35 weeks, which is fab as consultant says even if they are born now they shouldn't need special care. Still feels like potentially a long time to go (up to 6 weeks!) ... or not, who knows??!

Stay in touch and stay sane!

MarsLady · 17/04/2008 18:05
millie1 · 17/04/2008 20:29

Hi Pazza & Twinkle ... glad to hear you're both still around and going well. Hope your LO's are better Twinkle. I saw consultant today ... section still scheduled for 38w so another 5w to go. Babies are both head down (explains the aches & pains) and are both growing well. 3 Vit B12 injections down, 3 to go.

Hang in there!

PazzaPlusTwo · 18/04/2008 11:39

Anyone heard from Neenz recently?

PazzaPlusTwo · 18/04/2008 11:58

Millie please can you send me some 'head-down' vibes for my LO's? They are wriggling like 2 little bears in a sack half the night ... but I think they always settle back to transverse.

Not that head-in-pelvis sounds very pleasant - there's a funny line in the book I got DH (You're Pregnant Too Mate) - 'if she walks like she's got a greasy coconut stuck between her legs, it's because she has'

D'y ever think how boring it would be to just have one in there???

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 20/04/2008 22:22

Yes it must be boring but also heavenly!!! I am 34+3 now and very uncomfortable. The worst thing is not being able to sleep for more than two hours at a time during the night.

I have been away so not logged on to MN for a while. Glad you are all well-ish (as well as can be expected)

Both mine were head down at last scan (32 weeks) so am praying for them to stay that way now. They have been very fidgety these last couple of days but as all I have done is sit on the sofa I have noticed every move.

Theo's head is right in my pelvis and I cant go more than about an hour without needing a wee. Sometimes it just leaks out any old time despite doing my pelvic floors religiously (well, OK, when I say religiously... i do do them most days). Worst was when it leaked out all over DH during sex !!!!

PazzaPlusTwo · 21/04/2008 10:02

PMSL Neenz!!!

I'm just a week ahead of you and also sleeping max 2 hours, struggling to get comfortable, bump feels like sack of concrete, itchy all over, but did stay in bed all day yesterday dozing

sweetbean · 21/04/2008 10:06
PazzaPlusTwo · 21/04/2008 11:20

hi sweetbean!

MarsLady · 22/04/2008 09:08

Blimey neenz... well done for having sex! lol

PazzaPlusTwo · 22/04/2008 15:37

Just been to see the doc and I'm booked in for CS next Monday!!! Babes still breech & transverse.

All feels a bit weird - 'pop in at 8.30 and you should have them by 12'. Probably should be but feel a bit

twinkle1 · 24/04/2008 11:47

wow Pazza how exciting
How many weeks will you be by then????
Have you had c/sections before????
I have had 3 previous sections for various reasons so i already know im having one with the twins.Im sure it will all go really well.
I have joined tamba this morning the thought of discount at clarks and mothercare plus lots of others sounds like a good idea. With 5 kids i could make some serious savings at clarks;)
How is everyone else?????
I feel fat and fed up!!! I have had enough now and im only 26 weeks I suppose only around 10 weeks to go
Right must go, keep us updated Pazza
Twinkle

Neenzandhertwinbeans · 24/04/2008 16:39

Oh dear, poor you Twinkle if you are fed up already! But with three other DCs to look after, it's no surprise. Are you getting lots of funny comments from people about having loads of kids? I am one of 4 sisters and my DH is one of 3 so we'd love a big family, at least one (maybe two or three!) more after the twins. But when they find out I am having a boy and a girl, everyone says 'oh how lovely you can stop now' as if your life is complete when you have 1 son and 1 daughter. That is offensive to me - if it had been two girls would that not have been enough? I always say 'oh no, we'll have at least one maybe two more after these' and people look at me like I am mad. But I think there is nothing better than having lots of siblings and a big family - I can't wait!

Also, if I don't have any more I'll have to go back to work
