I thoguht so too, especially as I'm hoping to feed for the two recc'd years so I don;t mind paying £30 a bra at all, you pay that for a really nice quality bra anyway.

VS, you are a clever girl to have those nursing bras! Soooo difficult to get nice ones, most of mine are very grannyish!

PortAndLemon · 18/01/2008 23:35

Best of luck for tomorrow, scorpio!

Peachy · 19/01/2008 10:29

Velbels i am planning a home birth too, my MW is coming out at 34 weeks to do a full home birth visit (remember I am first due so the plans are more advanced, am 30 weeks tomorrow!). That will involve arrnaging delivery for entonox, possible prescription for ethidine etc.

if it helps I can post what she says when she comes?

Bit of a nightmare here yesterday- school have decided after 2 weeks that they can't take ds3 without full time 1 - 1 support (we were telling them that a year ago, and they ahd him for nursery year so he's not unknown to them) and unless LEA up the funding, he won't have a proper school place for after easter so i could be shuttling him around..... or arranging a school transfer!. Having just bought an entire school uniform after reasurances this wouldn't happen am .

VS love those bra's- called Dh in and he noted the name, excellent (our wedding anniversary just before due date LOL)

Denny185 · 19/01/2008 11:15

You could do without that, no full time plae after easter that would be terrible timing for arrival of LO, and poor DS being shunted from pillar to post, I hope they find some funding pronto for you.

Wonder what Scorpio's doing now

rainbowdays · 19/01/2008 12:14

Scorpio - hope you have a fantastic day today and that you will enjoy every single minute. Congratulations.

velbels · 19/01/2008 14:09

Thanks Peachy reassurance is good Sorry to hear about school hassles how frustrating

I was rather surprised that my sister phoned last week to tell me she is 6 weeks pregnant. Although it is obviously very early days, it means I need to think about start thinking about some baby shopping. We didn't think we would need to buy anything as they were going to pass on what they had as they finished having kids (obviously not!)

chipmonkey · 20/01/2008 01:49

Peachy, how dare the school treat you like that! for you!

EllieG · 20/01/2008 11:41

Scorpio - hope you had a fantastic day hon and are enjoying being Mrs Scorpio!

peachy - and at school. That's crap. Hope you get it sorted.

Hello to everyone else!

scorpio1 · 20/01/2008 13:21

well, i am a MRS now, hee hee!

the day went really really well and we are very tired. we were home by 11pm last night, left everyone to their party! Millie didn't mind the music, which i had worried about.

Everything was just right. i have twice had to say my new name already and both times i have said my other name first

Will put pics up later, we are off out now.

KnitterInTheNW · 20/01/2008 20:54

Congratulations scorpio!

We had fun this afternoon, the midwife came to give me a general check up (after someone had screwed up, and they weren't expecting me at the clinic on thursday and couldn't fit me in). I asked her if she could listen to the baby to check he was ok, because he hadn't had his nightly riverdance last night and hadn't moved much this morning. She listened and said the heartbeat was fine, but because I had glucose in my urine she wanted me to go to the delivery suite to get monitored, just to be on the safe side. We got there, a midwife hooked me up, and of course the little monkey started kicking the hell out of the monitor pad things! The doctor decided he's going to be a performer.
Doc said he'd expect glucose to be in my urine at this stage of pg, and there were no ketones so that was good. There was also a bit of protein and it was a bit cloudy (sorry if tmi) so they've sent it off to check there's not an infection brewing.

I hope Ellie's wool arrives tomorrow, I can't wait to get started on her blanket!

Mollyfloss · 20/01/2008 20:56

Glad to hear you're ok VS. That must have been traumatic. Make sure you get plenty of rest.
