pussycatmomma · 05/01/2008 22:00

hi sideways. Whats your due date hun? do you know what you are having? im 24th and its a suprise.

MamaMaiasaura · 05/01/2008 22:03

pcm - gorgeuas bump pics you look fantastic. how are you doing? xx

LuckySalem · 05/01/2008 22:05

Bloody Hell PCM - You look stunning!
I don't seem to have much of a bump at all, in fact unless I wear the right clothes I just look fat.

sideways · 05/01/2008 22:05

Hi pussycat, I'm due on 17th so a week before you and having a surprise

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2008 22:17

gosh thank you for saying i look nice. Dont feel that nice, feel like a whale! but i do have a good bump on me!
Sideways, get yourself a profile! We may be starting a labour thread together!
Lucky how are you feeling?
Have you decided on names yet either of you?
Awen, i just spotted flosspot on another thread = she is called makecakesnotwar now, and she is 19 weeks pregnant. Do you remember her from clomid thread?

LuckySalem · 05/01/2008 22:20

No names!! lol (Very disorganised)
I'm ok, feeling huge and sorry for myself. Got bad belly , sickness (heartburn sickness) and headache (which I think is due to a hole in one of my teeth) TBH, I'll be glad when the baby is out and not just so I can hold he/she

How u feeling? Excited?

sideways · 05/01/2008 22:25

It takes me all my time to get on here and post a message at the moment, with my zero energy levels, so I'm not sure I can manage a profile. I'll give it a go though!

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2008 22:32

just added another pic, me and dh and also our little doggie for any animal lovers out there!
We are not completly decided on names either, but if we have a girl, we like
Amelie Alice Hope.
For a boy we like
Noah, Ellis , Reuben or Isaac. We like Oscar, Jonah, Theo, Gabriel, Milo or Max for middle names.
Dh got this thing about having 2 middle names, so its taking quite a bit of thinking out!
Am very excited Lucky.......so sorry you are feeling rough. Wont be long now before you have your babe in your arms. (((hugs)))

LuckySalem · 05/01/2008 22:39

Cute doggie PCM My kitties are on my profile!

pussycatmomma · 05/01/2008 22:44

just seen them lucky, they are gorgeous! I dont have any of my cats saved on a file but i will look some up - we have 3. So far we have done ok training them to no longer sleep on the bed = they have been banished since i was about 3mths preg, they were just so used to having free run of the house wherever they liked. But now thankfully they do not go in the bedrooms, and so all rooms upstairs are cat free zones. I have bought a cat net though for when baby is downstairs in moses basket.

LuckySalem · 05/01/2008 22:50

Well, I'm still trying to teach my cat that the bed is a no go zone (keep waking up to him just sitting there) I've bought them a scratch post for upstairs so they stop using the wicker on the moses basket as one. We've had to put a door on the nursery (none of the upstairs rooms had doors, except bathroom cos he kept dissapearing under the floorboards in there) They are treated way too easily!!! I feel really bad for when the baby comes as "he" is so used to ALL the attention ALL the time. If he wants a hug he just jumps on you whether your ready or not and i'm having to teach him that doing that is bad aswel (in case baby in arms)

Ok i'm going to TRY to get some sleep now. TRY being the main word. I got "Bones!" in Jan Sales and sit watching that at night cos I can't sleep so will go get my David Boreanaz fix and try to get some sleep.

lilyloo · 06/01/2008 08:44

Congratulations Naetha on arrival of baby Benjamin
Massive sympathy Lucky i with you on this one had so many false starts i now 40+1 and really fed up and sick of going to bed and thinking is this it then it all stopping!
Hope things get going for us soon it's very tiring before it even starts isn't it!
Any movements with testing of pool Katy ?
Hope everyone else ok

MrsBiscuit · 06/01/2008 09:23

Congratulations Naetha - what a cutie!

Netsing just about kicking in and the nursery room is coming together - final bit of self-assembly completed yesterday (managed to wield a screwdriver despite my 'banana fingers' as DH calls them ).

Fragolina · 06/01/2008 11:28

Morning all,
Naetha, congrats on little Benjamin, he is completely adorable! Enjoyed the new pics Awen, and PCM Archie has to be the cutest dog

Mrs B - well done on self-assembly

Lucky - hope things start happening for you soon

Lilyloo - sympathies on the 'stop/start' feelings, I know just how you feel.

I am now 40+2 today, and really surprisingly chilled out about it, although Dh is starting to mutter impatiently. Seeing midwife again on Friday for a sweep if nothing's happened til then - am really NOT lookking forward to that though, sounds horrible, so fingers crossed that lulu arrives before then.

Anyone who's had a sweep, please let me know what it was like.

Think we have finally decided on a girl's name - Tana Naqwa, and still debating boy's names. Bet I'll end up calling the baby lulu all the time, no matter the gender , now that I'm so used to calling the bump that!

Have a good Sunday everyone, the sun is shining here and I can't help smiling

efmc · 06/01/2008 12:47

hi everyone - what with one thing and another, i fell out of the habit of reading the posts on here.

am 36+3 now, and baby is still breech! eeeep! does anyone else have a breech baby?

am at hospital next week to get scanned to double confirm he's breech, then i'll be getting my c-section date.

just wondering if anyone has been through / is going through this?

by the way yes, i know baby could still turn - but i'm feeling it's unlikely as he's been breech for the last 2.5 months and seems pretty comfortable

Amani · 06/01/2008 16:32

Congrats naetha

LuckySalem · 06/01/2008 17:57

Hey everyone,

Still no baby. Am planning on having a hot bath with a glass of wine tonight after my curry dinner. If baby doesn't want to come yet then fine but DAMNED if i'm stressing about it!

Susiemj · 06/01/2008 18:27

Happy New Year everyone. I haven't had time to read but congratulations to all those who have delivered

Sabela Maria Goni Jordan (aka my Lo) was born by emergency caesarian on new year's day. 6lb 6oz. Both well. Just home from hospital. Will post with full story later on!

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 06/01/2008 18:46

Congrats susie We was wondering where you were. Makes sense now. Let us know details when you can.

madmouse · 06/01/2008 18:58

Susie, no wonder you disappeared suddenly! Glad you are both ok, looking forward to more details and pictures. Sabela is a lovely name! .

Lucky, you do sound properly fed up. Maybe that glass of wine and bath is just what you need

Feeling a bit frustrated here too. Have been in the house resting pretty much all day, and pelvis is marginally less sore, but ankles/feet look enormous due to not walking and being unable to put feet up . Old friend popped by with cakes, was lovely to see him (and cakes), amused him by getting lo to shove a heavy tumbler glass of the top of my bump .

Am busy negotiating an early exit, doubt he is listening though, feels like too much of a playground in there.

fluffymummy · 06/01/2008 19:20

Naetha and Susie - huge congrats to both of you!

Naetha - I am in total awe of your labour skills...and I love the pics - he is sooo cute and left me and DH making very clucky broody noises at 11pm last night

Susie - welcome home...birth story and pics please, once you've had a chance to recover, of course!

Fragoline - have you sorted out your MIL yet?!

MrsMc - you ok? Thanks for NY text, but where are you?!!

Had a lovely weekend, DH sorted out DS both mornings, leaving me in bed until 10.30-ish and then bringing me breakfast in bed ...a girl could get used to this! Saw lots of friends, watched films, went to 2 yr old b-day party today and saw several friends all due with #2 who have a similar age #1 which bodes well for maternity leave.

Just 4 days of work left...hurrah!!!!

Nothing happening here, but probably not a bad thing, as I'm still not quite a full 38 weeks. Even so, I wouldn't be heartbroken if it did all kick off, IYKWIM .

But big hugs and > to those already at the 40 week point!! And equally big hugs and or >>>>ins

katyt1 · 06/01/2008 20:11

Congrats Susie look forward to hearing the details, hope you and Sabela are recovering well. what does her name mean? may look it up later if laptop behaves. hope the emergency side of things wasn't too traumatic.

lilyloo - no movement here, much to dh's relief!

fluffy - that sounds like a fab weekend i'm with you on timings, 38 wks officially on tues but wouldn't mind things kicking off anytime. tho dh is away in london mon-thurs so next thurs night would be more convenient...

madmouse - sounds like you are fed up i find some days hips/pelvis are worse than others, so hope you have some better days coming up. it's a learning curve of what is too much, maybe yest. was too busy so your body is fighting back! try something more low-key tomorrow and see?

cheers lucky - i'm having a glass too, fancied white, which is odd as i have only fancied red all pg. think it might be cos it's cold and i'm hot, dh has lit fire which is lovely but i'm baking here! bump out and sitting in vest trying to stay cool!
power going on and off too (had a 2hr power cut last week) so sky is on the blink, laptop has a limited battery so we'll see how long i get to stay on here.

efmc - hi sorry to hear baby is still breech, have you tried all the usual? cold peas on top of bump, on all fours with head down, ecv?, reflexology, etc? hope baby turns, or at least you have a straighforward c-s with quick recovery.

fragolina - tana naqwa? more unusual names, what do they mean?
think we have settled on mary kathryn or mary jennifer for a girl, and we were on henry john for a boy but ds has shown us he can say george so thinking maybe george something, don't know if i fancy george john, like beller? i'll get accused of being a copycat!

may try and find list to update in a mo. right best let someone else have a go

gingeme · 06/01/2008 20:20

Many congratulations susie. Wow teeny baby. Went for a realy long walk round the park again today. lo who is 14 months loved it till we got to the playground and it was real slippy under foot and he slipped quite badly and hurt his kness. Soon bucked up again once he was going fast on the swing.
Went to a childrens party yesterday and ate some hot chilli. Hopeing this would move things along but alas has not. Im 39 weeks today. My Mum is staying here for the week so I feel a bit more relaxed about the whole thing now.
Glad to hear evryone is doing ok despite getting fed up with waiting. Hope you all have a good night. xx

makingnosense · 06/01/2008 20:43

Good to hear of the safe arrival of the LO's. Makes it all seem a bit more real that soon I'll have mine.

Got ante natal appointment tomorrow, really hoping midwife will say baby fully engaged, so fingers crossed.

My LO seems to get lots of hiccups. Is that a good thing? I feel so sorry for him hiccuping away and want to rub his little back and make them go away! Awwww.
