Hello

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 18/12/2007 12:21

but that is child protection issues, how stupid can you get???

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 18/12/2007 12:21

Wish my DP would say that! ] If he did would just mean house would become horrid dirty pig place though

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 18/12/2007 12:23

I know! You'd think they'd be a bit more aware of things, but there you go. They had a flea in their ear from me, so they are now.

I get to play santa today - we had loads of 10 toy vouchers delivered so have snarfled loads to give to my families with nil money.

Would agree some nurseries are out to get rid of kids- ds3 is allergic to dairy and we registered him at the local surestart nursery, then when his health form was taken in were told sorry we were mistaken there's no place- a few days later sister (different surname) went an and successfully registered her son for a place, in the same class. They tried to keep our deposit too, but Dh erm, retrieved that LOL!

Just had the call to confirm ds3's dx of asd- exactly a year after the idea was mooted. Don't know whether to laugh that we got an answer, or cry! Need to perk myself up now though for Christmas. hi ho.

scorpio1 · 18/12/2007 12:25

thats terrible peachy, like discrimination.

are you ok about ds3?

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 18/12/2007 12:25

Sorry to hear that you´re having a crap day Scorpio. Just try and keep focused on your hols Hope you get that packing finished.

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 18/12/2007 12:26

DSD gets sent home from school at drop of a hat - lucky she's generally pretty hardy - once because her eye was watery (was summer and she gets bad hayfever) and they thought (despite us telling them it wasn't) that she had conjunctivitus and last time because she had a tummy ache - she was fine 20 mins after I picked her up because it was just wind! I was a bit cross with them - not much common sense there.

Glad your DC has got the diagnosis peachy - if glad is right term? - does this mean will be entitled to more support now at school etc?

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 18/12/2007 12:27

oh its ok now i have ironed the fecking mountain of clothes. now i just have to put stuff in case, thats ok. dp said wait until he is home if i want, even said he would iron!!

(scorpio ponders when we last had sex and does he want more now?)

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 18/12/2007 12:28

Chin up Peachy - thinking of you What a lovely DP LOL at EllieG's "horrid dirty pig place"

Sheds75 · 18/12/2007 13:20

cheer up Peachy, nearly time for your holiday, and seems like your DP is going to look after you for 2 weeks.

Note to self don't try and rush round the trafford centre the week before xmas when nearly 6 months pg (not fun)

DennytwasNewYear · 18/12/2007 13:42

I went up the trafford centre a couple of weeks ago, not sure if it was us beoing tight but we thought they seem to have increased all their prices in time for xmas, everything seemed really expensive. Next year we will be more organised and get things sooner!

Ellie do you get to dress up aswell? You wouldnt need a cushion up your jumper this year

Sheds75 · 18/12/2007 14:03

know what you mean Denny, at least next year I will still be on ML and hopefully have more time to be organised

DennytwasNewYear · 18/12/2007 14:09

Fingers crossed if the Lo's allow!

Sheds75 · 18/12/2007 14:13

can't be anymore disorganised than this year, after the move...... I don't believe it possible

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 18/12/2007 14:19

Oh Gosh, I havent done anything for xmas yet
I have ds's present and dp's that's it.
I have to buy food for xmas dinner, dd's present and MIL/FIL/BIL's presents still.
I'd like to think I'm more organised next year than this, but I doubt it

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 18/12/2007 14:39

TTLVS - I vow I´ll be more organised every year but that´s never materialised I´ve still got pressies to get & no time to get them - hey ho I´m just blessed with a very tolerant family

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 18/12/2007 14:46

Thankfully, the DC's are going to see the dickheads family on sunday. I was taking them over xmas eve but have managed to change it to sunday, when one of their cousins is having a party, so at least they wont be too spoiled, they'll have to compete with the birthday boy for attention.

I'm staying in Northampton whilst they are there though, gonna pop and see some frineds I havent seen since I moved away and do my shopping then. Luckily Dd has no preference as to what she wants for xmas so I can just go intoys r us and see what they have.

PeachyHasAFiggyPudInTheOven · 18/12/2007 15:01

This si the first year i've not been hyper organised- just cannot get my substantial arse into gear! Most stuff bought / ordered and now just sitting in boxes waiting for me to do something with it. Dh has got soem stuff wrapped though.

Am OK about the dx- even when you know its coming it hits, but thats very much life. had to buy him a restraint for the car today though (he opens the belts as we drive)- £77 inc. postage!!!!!!!!

Bought myself a M&B mag today to try and get my head round preparing fro this one- have got all the big things ready- buggy, crib etc- but very little clothinga nd waht we do have is completely ridiculous organic stuff tee hee! Must get some basics LOL.

No, a dx won't improve what help we get to the poster whoa sked- he's entitled to transfer now to the ASD school should the need arise after his 6 week settle in epriod (oh look- same week baby due!!!!) but ocal social services say we don't qualify for their disability support as they don't combine the effects of multiple asd kids and apparently- I am a very competent mother and able to cope. - have they not seen my washing pile? (ah no because I hide it when they come round LOL)

National Autistic Society looing at helping out when Sebastian comes, why does it always come back to the charities?

PeachyHasAFiggyPudInTheOven · 18/12/2007 15:03

TTLVS- envious of the toy r us trip, ds3 wants

wait for it

a dead otter.

pmsl

(I blame another poster on MN who mentioned her daughter would say yes to anything, even a dead otter LOL- Dh tried it on ds3 and now he wants.....

pmsl)

Sounds like some of you have a LOT on your plate. Hope you manage to get everything done over the next few days, sounds hectic! I'm feeling quite spoilt now. We are going to my brothers place in Switzerland for a few days so I just have to get on a plane and go. I can't wait to see my little niece and nephew. My SIL picked up the kids pressies from me which is great as she knows exactly what they want. My FIL found my Mum's present for me over the internet and my brothers and I agreed that getting presents for each other & their wives/partners is too much hassles as there is so many of us. So that just leaves my DH and I think we will probably just decide to leave the pressies until the sales, so it's all pretty easy for me. I don't even have to cook as my sister-in-law and mother are taking care of that I'll stop showing off now because you all know too well that when I have a little one next year it will be a different story!

MassiveMollyfloss · 18/12/2007 15:09

By the way, I had a check-up at the Doctor's this morning. Everything is fine. I asked her about GBS (which i brought up earlier on this thread). She said it is not routinely checked for but it is a simple test and we can definitely do it around week 37 or 38.

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 18/12/2007 15:15

My Mum & Nan are coming to my scan with me on the 21st & then we´re off shopping to pick up the last bits (I hope!) Need to get stocking fillers for DS - any ideas?

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 18/12/2007 15:25

at Mollyfloss. Anyway, nearly time to go. See you all tomorrow. Soph xxxx
