Hello

OP posts:
ToastandMincePieAddict · 10/12/2007 16:36

Yay, thanks Ellie

I was only away from my desk for 10 minutes and the old thread got full!!

scampmum · 10/12/2007 16:45

Right, I'm off.

See you tomorrow/later (if DH is late home and I start surfing MN rather than doing any of the tidying) ladies.

northfeastmummy · 10/12/2007 16:58

Thanks for the new thread Ellie!

Scorpio - an Aberdeen roll is also known as a buttery and you only get them in the NE of scotland. They're awful - full of butter, salt and all things bad. I very rarely eat them but I was starving this morning and it was all I could lay my hands on. Plus I actually really like them, I just daren't eat them because I know how bad they are. pic of a buttery. Gillian McKeith tried to get them declared a health hazard a couple of years ago .

For tea tonight, I MUST have fruit and veg!!

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 10/12/2007 18:02

Toast, it was me that ahd brownies cream and niknaks for breakfast!
Today I have had:
two ham cheese onion and ketchup sandwiches, but in toast not bread,
niknaks for breakfast.
No lunch, but I had a kinder egg and some tescos finest oaty chewy cookies on the bus,
have just had a stuffing sandwich
and have a full roast in the oven.
I will probably have chocolate carte dor for supper and a hot chocolate or two.

scorpio1 · 10/12/2007 18:07

gemprincess · 10/12/2007 21:20

Hi ladies, my how you can talk.. I have had a right few days, Evie has now got a chest infection as well as the infection around the crawford tube so on antibiotics again. This morning i was supposed to be at consultant app. to discuss my vba3c but got a call an hour before to let me know my grandad passed away. Was expected but really could not face hospital politics..Anyway now tryin to work out travelling 300 miles without taking the girls, hopin' mil may lend a hand as the only family i have up here. This on top of georgia school play and app etc.. let alone xmas..Sorry ladies i really have gone on..Anyway im lovin the names, dh and i cant agree.. I like Ruben.

gemprincess · 10/12/2007 21:29

Denny sorry never got back to u bout crawford tube. Evie has blocked tear ducts which she had 2 probing's done under GA. First when 14 months, 2nd when 2 yrs old. These did not work and as she has an prob with her sight too they decided to fit a tube within the tear duct. This was done in sept,it is clipped inside her nostril and goes up across corner of eye. Body now rejecting tube so removing in jan then make decision on what to do next.Just hoping it has worked.

Peachy · 10/12/2007 22:23

Ah a thread the size I can keep up with LOL! Better post before it grows...

Things OK here, I've been down with a stomach thing so been on the sofa mainly- wlaking anywhere seems to trigger contractions and whilst they're probably only BH they do hurt and I'm not risking it, plus had a bit of spotting yesterday after lifting teh Christmas shopping from the car so being very wary indeed. Supposed to be submitting an essay today so have to apply for extenuating circumstances- fingers crossed! Only trouble is to get the form you have to walk up the hill to Uni which I can't do unless I'm a lot better tomorrow- we shall see.

eva07 · 11/12/2007 07:01

morning gemprincess, fingers crossed and lots of hugs for your DD (evies and evas hold together )

peachy, hope you're feeling better this morning!

great thread name, elli

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 11/12/2007 08:58

Mornin'

Take it easy today peachy - don't think a big walk up a hill a good idea - don't make us nag you!

OP posts:
scampmum · 11/12/2007 09:15

Peachy - can you email your supervisor or something? Or get a coursemate to drop the form off at home? Can you try and find it on the internet? I am finding hill walking and trying to walk fast are really aggravating the SPD at the mo (let alone your other symptoms), so you should def try and avoid at all costs! Anyone on MN near you who could pop in and get it for you?

My SPD has not only come on much earlier this time, it's also weirder - last time was simply a stabbing pain in the middle of my pubes (sorry!) when I walked or did anything that involved my pelvis moving out of line and some force (crossing legs, turning over, closing a door with my foot etc.) - this time there doesn't have to be any force i.e. can't lie on side or basically adopt any asymmetrical position, and on top of the pain there's a real insecurity feeling like all my insides are about to prolapse. Does this sound like SPD to anyone?

scampmum · 11/12/2007 09:16

ps poor little Evie! big hugs to her and to you.

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 10:07

Morning all. Thanks for new thread Hope Evie's better soon & you peachy, take care of yourself. I had a cheese & onion scone & the most enormous bowl of apple crumble & custard

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 10:12

I meant for dinner last night obviously

scampmum · 11/12/2007 10:20

That would be quite an ambitious breakfast, Soph, even for some of us! We ended up having chinese to celebrate DH's momentous day - I ate like a pig then felt sick when I went to bed.

I'm still feeling sick this morning, but that's mainly of anyone who went to Led Zep last night.

Annieroo · 11/12/2007 10:41

hello all, WOW! loads to catch up on - have been away for a wee while having a new floor laid at home and have been on leave from work so haven't been able to get near a computer.

Gemprincess - fingers crossed for your DD & hope she gets better soon.

Peachy I hope you're feeling better too.

Haven't had anything to eat yet - been rushing around trying to get to work on time and catching up with everything - am running on hot chocolate at the moment!

ToastandMincePieAddict · 11/12/2007 10:41

Peachy - take it easy
GemP - hope Evie is feeling better soon

Last night I was actually fairly hungry and, more importantly, felt like cooking for the first time in months, so made a Quorn (cos I'm a woosie veggie) casserole, with white wine, mushrooms and cream . With dumplings and mash - yum

Was awake for an hour and a half at 3am, just could not sleep, then got starving hungry, so had to get up and have a slice of the bread I made last night - with mixed fruit, mixed spice and cinnamon in it... how did I cope before I had my bread machine???

Hungry now actually.....

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 10:42

Scampmum - quite! Just had toast for brekkie although have just eaten a sausage roll & some peanut M&Ms. Hope you feel better as the day wears on.

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 10:45

Toast - would love a bread machine but the flour is practically impossible to find here and when you do its really expensive. My mum has one and does fab bread am very

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 11/12/2007 10:53

Ooo all this food talk is making me hungry. Made a really nice lunch too and left it at home by accident. I am a numpty.

OP posts:
TLSM · 11/12/2007 10:54

Hi Guys hope your all ok? Peachy do take it easy although it is hard with kids already! I am suffering from a terrible back ache had it atstartd now its come back with avengance! I see my consultant on Friday so hopfully he will agree to me being induced but will have to wait and see!

scorpio1 · 11/12/2007 11:05

arrgghh lost first message

i might have had mcd's brekky this morning

i also have assignment due in today that i have done [yay!], but have had extenuating circumstances for a different one due to pg, so you should be fine.

me and dp are sort of ok again, its on my part really, i still feel abit let down and almost like hiding but its getting better.

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 11:13

Scorpio - naughty They don´t do the McD's brekkies over here, which is very annoying. Glad to hear that you and DP are getting there - hope it doesn't take too much longer to be fully better iyswim
