Hello

How many (packets of) bicuits VS?

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 11/12/2007 13:29

I didn't for ages Eva - it's only been this week (22) that I can defo feel and not mistaken for wind or digestion. My mate didn't feel anything for ages either, think it depends on where baby is lying and placenta position and whether is your first.

Santasagitta - hugs to you lady. Do some nice things at home to pamper yourself a bit maybe when DH is out?

Just had watercress soup, bacon pasta & a pineapple & coconut drinking yoghurt for lunch. Am feeling funny now probably too many milk products - bleurgh!

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 13:31

Also, haven´t got my big knickers on today (sorry if tmi) so these ones keep rolling underneath bump & digging in, which I´m sure is contributing to the sicky feeling!!

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 11/12/2007 13:32

No such thing as tmi here! All my knickers seem to keep rolling down now. Need to buy some BIG pants

Ooooo yes, too much milk definitely does it for me . I've had a much better day today on the food front - cereal for breakfast then a chicken and cucumber sandwich for lunch and a small bottle of OJ. I have a yummy nectarine waiting for me to finish this message off! I'm quite sure I'll not hold out all afternoon though and will end up having something bad.

VS - your dinner last night sounds lovely! I had boring pasta but managed to get loads of veg in it so felt a lot better about things.

We're having sausages tonight but in this yummy recipe I have with potatoes, ciabatta, peppers, olive oil, paprika and rosemary. All of it gets thrown in an oven tray for 45 minutes and it comes out delicious!

I didn't mean for this message to be so food focussed. I had loads of things I wanted to ask you all and I've been completely distracted and can't remember any of them!

V1KK1M · 11/12/2007 13:43

Hi all,

Just posting a message to get it on the threads I am on.

Baby moving loads now although DH still has not yet felt it. Work is very stressful which is resulting in me not sleeping too!

I'm also going through a terrible stage of crying a lot for no reason - anyone else?!? The funny thing is that once I start I can see how silly I'm being and start laughing but I still can't stop crying either!

These blooming hormones

santagitta · 11/12/2007 13:45

Already got big pants... no yummy mummy here.

Other shit thing is that DH can't come with me for 20-wk scan on Friday, as his mate's marriage is breaking up and needs to go and see him - for the whole night, apparently. Which I quite understand , but feel anyway.

santagitta · 11/12/2007 13:47

NFM - that recipe sounds yummy - and easy. Do you just break up the ciabatta, cut veg, and stir it all up?

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 11/12/2007 13:55

Only about four biscuits but they are huge tesco finest ones, OAT AND FRUIT though

For those of you whose dp/h's are planning on taking paternity leave their employers need to knowby the beginning of your 25th week of pregnancy!!paternity leave

Thank goodness I was just asking about it!

scampmum · 11/12/2007 14:03

Great minds re LZ, Santagitta. They didn't play some of my favourites although that only very marginally numbs the pain of not being there. I was reflecting in the shower this morning how it was funny that I had Over the Hills and Far Away on my head, but interspersed with Postman Pat! ('many times I've wo-ondered... everybody knows his bright red van'). Bad luck re DH - can't he go and see his mate another time??

V1KK1M - also v. emotional here. Cried about Led Zep about three times last night (every time I saw it on the news!) Must be a hormone surge time or something.

VS - I really want some of your Cookies of Goodness and Virtue.

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 11/12/2007 14:04

Oat and fruit is healthy, so was like having a big fruit salad with some musli on top.

V1 - I'm same. Had a MAHOOSIVE cry last night about something that seemed terrible at the time - poor DP spent a good half hour mopping me up and then I was all watery-eyed and hicuppy for the rest of the evening. Silly moo.

Annieroo · 11/12/2007 14:06

V1KK1M,

I started crying the other day because i forgot to wash a plastic bowl out and had dried grout in it! took me about an hour to get over it - then started crying again because i was being so silly over crying about a plastic bowl!

SantasGotABigFatEllieG · 11/12/2007 14:08

Thank god it's not just me! Was beginning to think was going a bit mad(der)

OP posts:
SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 14:16

V1KK1M - yep, I can start crying for no apparent reason & find it really difficult to stop.
Santagitta - I´ve worn big pants for ages as well! Shame your hubby can´t be there, what time is your scan?

sweetbean · 11/12/2007 14:17

Eva07

Thanks For thinking of me XXXX

Annieroo · 11/12/2007 14:19

That's made me feel better too!

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 14:20

I started crying because DH told me he didn´t like Carrefour's own washing liquid (had just bought 2 HUGE bottles of it). Just goes to show how often he puts a wash on as we´ve never used it before

santagitta · 11/12/2007 14:42

Glad you're all teary too. DH missing the scan has made me cry lots - plus the fact that he'll be away another night. It has to be Friday as mate's DW goes away then.
But LOL at Led Postman Pat Zep. (I cried about that too, scampmum - but at least I managed a watery smile about the money I saved by not getting a ticket...)

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 14:49

DH isn´t coming to the scan on 21 Dec as my Mum & Nan are coming with me & they much prefer the women being involved over here rather than (heaven forbid) the father of the baby!! However, they are a lot better than 5 years ago.

SantasNotSoLittleHelper · 11/12/2007 14:53

I keep staring at my 3D scan photos & still can´t get over them There´s actually a baby in there! I mean, it´s not as though I haven´t done this before. I just can´t get over it - weird.

scampmum · 11/12/2007 15:17

I feel the same. Maybe even more incredulous because I think about it (being pg) less frequently.

Just got apple and banana for afternoon snack but already know what I actually wanted was crisps. Leftover Chinese for dinner so I really should be healthy.

santagitta · 11/12/2007 15:27

It is a weird thought, isn't it?

By the way, has anyone who remembers having / has got a nearly two year old, got any ideas or tips about how to get them to bed in someone else's house without a cot? ie they have to sleep on mattress on floor/ sofa / lilo with me - without walking off?

scorpio1 · 11/12/2007 15:30

i do eat crap you know

for lunch i had full on xmas dinner at uni, complete with pud and custard [fat]

VS, my belly wobbles too, so weird! She is going to be a gymnast i tell you!

My DP is self employed so we get no paternity pay. he is still having 2 weeks off though, luckily we have enough money to be able to cover that time off. last time he went back to work 6 days later, and we said that this time he and me can have a proper rest and time to get to know her.

northfeastmummy · 11/12/2007 15:34

I gave in and had a muffin

Santagitta - yes, you chop up the peppers and baby potatoes (no pre-cooking required), chop up the sausages (also no pre-cooking required - I used sausages with sweet chilli or something similar), pull the bits of bread out of the middle of the ciabatta (I've never put the crusts in, not sure if it would matter or not), sprinkle on the olive oil (not too much as the sausages give out a bit of fat), paprika and rosemary then bung it in the oven. I give it a few stirs while it's cooking just to make sure it cooks evenly. It's fab with some salad.
