Thought I’d start a thread for those who have recently had a bfp and due in May 2022.

I’m 3w6d and due on 4th May. This will be my third baby I have a 4 and a 2 year old.

How is everyone feeling? I’m happy as I’ve been trying for a few months but still a little stunned and know it’s very early so trying not to get too excited yet!

No real symptoms yet apart from a bit of cramping. Felt a bit sick yesterday but ok today. I had really bad morning sickness from 6 weeks in my last 2 pregnancies so hoping it won’t be as bad this time.

Congratulations @sweetpeagirl

SerendipitySunshine · 05/09/2021 08:34

Clearblue goes from ovulation, so 2-3 weeks means 4-5 weeks really.

So, I just got back from my first barre class post-BFP (as I've been out of town), and it was interesting to see how differently my body responds to certain things. That relaxation hormone (for our ligaments and such) is no joke! As I have pretty fine-tuned body awareness, I know what my stretching limits have been in the few weeks before I got pregnant and I have to say that I easily could have gone way, way past those today, which could cause significant injury! I just wanted to mention it as we are all finding our new limits on things, to remind us that for stretching and such, only go to what feels like 70% to avoid injury. Smile

Hello please can I join due 4th may

Kez437 · 05/09/2021 17:36

Hi all

Will confess that I have been lurking here for the last few days reading. I had a chemical pregnancy last month and before the loss had already joined the April thread so was nervous this time to jump the gun too early.

That being said I got my BFP last week and as of today I'm 5 weeks, my clear blue also put me further ahead this time 2-3 weeks as opposed to the 1-2 weeks last time so I'm starting to relax a little.

This will be baby no.2 for us, we have a nearly 15 month old daughter so I'll have 2 under 2 for a couple of weeks 🙈 Reallt excited though and feel ready for another one to join us. Trying to stay positive as my last pregnancy was straightforward to focusing on that.

Have only told my mum so far (apart from hubby obviously). Last time we told MIL too and then the loss just made it harder so being super cautious this time. Nice to have a place to share 🥰 so far no symptoms apart from being really tired. Last time I had pretty bad morning sickness which kicked in at 5 weeks so intrigued to see what the next week holds

ninadust · 05/09/2021 17:37

Hello. Please can I join :)? I am 5+5 today and due 3rd May. This is my first xx

hoola23 · 05/09/2021 18:53

Hi all! This feels very odd posting in a birth group after trying for a year and getting nowhere! But I finally got my BFP today!! Well technically yesterday on IC but confirmed on FRER & CB today! Woo!! My current due date is 19th May 2022! Massive congrats to everyone else! ❤️

Jayw2021 · 06/09/2021 06:40

Hey! New here!
Found out last week at 8dpo that we are expecting (again!) I have a feeling there’s 2 in there 🤦🏼‍♀️ Tests are almost dye stealers at 10dpo! I’m a twin and so is my mum!
Hope everyone’s ok?

hoola23 · 06/09/2021 07:52

@Jayw2021 oh wow! Congrats, how exciting if it is twins!!!

SerendipitySunshine · 06/09/2021 09:38

Anyone else feel so nervous? I've been testing on some leftover cheap strips every day to watch them darken and today I even did another clearblue to check it had gone from 203 weeks to 3+ weeks. It had, so I want to relax and enjoy it, but after waiting so long I'm petrified of a chemical pregnancy.

SerendipitySunshine · 06/09/2021 09:38

2-3 not 203!

aNewYorkerInLondon · 06/09/2021 10:03

@SerendipitySunshine - I'm doing the exact same thing. I do a cheapie every morning and did a clearblue "weeks" one one on 5+1 to check that it went from 2-3 to 3+. Even if it only serves to make me feel better, the peace of mind is worth it entirely.

Cherryblossom21 · 06/09/2021 10:32

@SweetPeaGirl I’m due 10th May roughly so we are due the same time 😊Congratulations, I’m really sorry your having issues with the dad that must be hard.

@hoola23 congratulations to you! How amazing after trying for a year, I’m so happy for you 💗

@SerendipitySunshine I have been a little like that as I had a mc in June, I was 11 weeks before I knew anything was wrong. The past couple of days I have completely stopped testing, and to be honest it’s made me feel better and more relaxed. I’m just trying to do everything I can control (vitamins, eating better etc - although I’m even finding the eating better difficult 😂) I completely get the tests give some people peace of mind though, and I get that too as when I got my 2-3 weeks I felt better but I’m not going to check for 3+ weeks. It’s such a nerve wracking time for us all at this stage, it’s hard not to worry!!

Congratulations to all the BFPs 💗 xx

ChelseaaBun · 06/09/2021 10:33

Someone shared this with me during my last pregnancy - datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer
I'd had a MC before and found it quite reassuring to see the stats of the pregnancy resulting in a baby increasing each day. Might not be for everyone but thought I'd share incase it helps anyone through these first few weeks xx

Cherryblossom21 · 06/09/2021 10:34

@Jayw2021 congratulations! Aww twins would just be lovely how exciting 💗 I would love twins! Hope your well 😊

StrawberrySun · 06/09/2021 10:34

@SerendipitySunshine
I'm doing the same but I'm still really early on. I did have a CP recently so I'm trying to hold out a little before getting too excited (although I was googling baby names last night 🙄) .. I find it impossible to stop myself! This time does feel different, my body is in full swing. Feeling very nauseous and exhausted x

Cherryblossom21 · 06/09/2021 10:38

@ChelseaaBun that is really interesting, and also reassuring 😊💗 xx

SerendipitySunshine · 06/09/2021 10:53

That's really helpful @ChelseaaBun - thank you. This is my second, both IVF, and I also spent most of the first trimester worrying last time. Trying not to this time. I'm hoping a 3+ on clearblue reduces the risk of a chemical pregnancy.

Etonmess20 · 06/09/2021 11:47

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining you! I got my BFP from my first fresh IVF cycle yesterday (happened to be my birthday too).I'm 28, my DP is 35 & this will be our first baby after TTC for 3 years & being diagnosed with unexplained infertility.
Currently 12dp5dt (or 4w3d) & have had a 2-3 weeks on a CB digital this morning! My clinic have booked me in for a scan on 27th September so got everything crossed until then!
Lots of love to everyone 💖

babyboybluex · 06/09/2021 12:23

Hey,

Hope you don't mind me joining also Smile

Got my BFP at 11dpo (Saturday). This is our second baby and we already have a one year old. Experienced a chemical in July so naturally anxious but feeling positive at the same time! Our EDD is the 17th of May 2022 which is a month before our son turns two.

Hope everyone is well x

SerendipitySunshine · 06/09/2021 12:28

Congratulations @Etonmess20 - IVF is a rough rise isn't it? I am now 18dp5dt (so 5w2d) and petrified, but starting to believe it might really happen. Fingers crossed for you.

Etonmess20 · 06/09/2021 12:42

Thank you @SerendipitySunshine congratulations to you too! It really is a rough ride, I'd convinced myself it hadn't worked & my "symptoms" were the pessaries so as you can imagine, super emotional in my house yesterday morning! I felt like I'd dreamt it so was glad the digital clear blue backed me up this morning too. When you've waited so long it takes even longer to sink in doesn't it?
Have you got an early scan booked in?

SerendipitySunshine · 06/09/2021 13:03

Yes, I'm still the same @Etonmess20 - booked in for the scan in two weeks. Can't wait, but also petrified!

Etonmess20 · 06/09/2021 16:52

@SerendipitySunshine it's such a scary wait isn't it? Luckily we go on holiday on Wednesday & won't be back for 2 weeks so that'll take our minds off the wait!

Leavesaregood · 06/09/2021 17:23

Today is definitely a more anxious day for me! I'm only at 4w+4 and I think the worry has gotten worse the more real it has felt, as we've slowly adjusted to the shock of getting positive results. Every wave of nausea brings relief, every cramp concern. Not sure I want to start testing again or getting a CB as that might make the anxiety worse, but sooo tempting!
@ChelseaaBun thanks for sharing that reassurer. I love a bit of data x
