Due Dec 2007 - All I want for Christmas is a baby!!!

Oh Wizzska it's not much fun is it?

BUT you know you'll have your baby really soon (and I bet you're sick of people saying that too ).

Are you allowed a shower at least? I actually find a really warm shower just as relaxing as a bath (especially as our bath is a little small and so I don't really fit in it too well).

Have had a lovely shower, tried to make myself feel really nice. Washed and straightened my hair. Put a bit of makeup on (just so it will run down my face later with painful contractions from being induced).

Oh Wizzika - hugs! I am trying to think that baby out for you!

Wizzska (if you are still around...) sounds like my labour last time - don't panic about the induction - I had heard the contractions were worse if induced but they weren't - by the time they got really horrible I was almost fully dilated so by then I knew the end was in sight!

Thanks everyone for the support, I've come down with dd's cold and am feeling pretty crap so don't think that was helping me deal with the news yesterday. Also, being such a skinny minnie myself I was so proud of myself for producing dd (7lb2) so think that is partly why I'm disappointed this time. The midwives keep saying to me that they wouldn't expect me to produce anything bigger than 6/6.5 lbs but I know I can so want to! No idea if that makes any sense at all?!

I am in a state of shock that our babies are due this month!

Have just been checking in too - dh tried to take dd swimming but unfortunately the pool is closed so they'll be back soon.
I have not done anything today as it is too cold and too miserable to go out.
Thinking of going somewhere tomorrow but not inspired by this weather.
Just don't want to mooch around the house all weekend.....

I've just decorated xmas tree, have never started xmas this early before, but then have never been expecting a baby any day before either!!
It looks lovely and cosy esp. as so poo outside.

looks like rgpargy has had a show, just saw on childbirth thread, looks like these babies are starting to think about making an appearance!! So exciting!

Just seen update from Awen - her dp's back, she's back out of hospital and but still having contractions.

clairey - I know it must be disappointing but 6lb is a good weight - s/he'll probably just slip out without you noticing. Now imagine if they'd said s/he would be 11lb!!!

had the most horrific cramp last night that went on for 20 mins - can barely walk today the muscle is so knackered. I HATE this stage of pregnancy

V quiet on here tonight - just popped on to see if any news from Wizzska or Awen.

Keep wondering if it's not long to go for me now - have been v organised at getting tasks done over the last couple of days. Feeling a bit "iffy" today - sort of like the feeling when you'er due on, plus have had a bit of an upset tummy - though it could just be the Chinese we had last night... Definitely not planning anything too far ahead at the mo in case.
