OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ambi · 02/12/2007 16:03

Xmas Tree is up and pressies wrapped, very ready for baby to make an appearance now, but she?s not listening to me. Logged on to see if any babies have arrived but we don?t know yet, will be online more from tomorrow when my laptop arrives, hurrah? early xmas present and last ever splurge before Maternity pay kicks in??

Yep raining here today too, then clears up and a tiny bit of sun then torrential downpour and hailstone!! DH has suggested Chinese tonight, which is really strange as he loves Indian more but since I?ve been trying to get a hot curry to move things along, he seems to prefer Chinese? what?s all that about, but I?m not to refuse a yummy takeaway at all.

Cannot stop whinging about this baby not coming out yet, DH is very unhelpful by mentioning that it?s ?only a matter of days? but when I?m so uncomfortable it doesn?t really cut it, but then I think it?s only a week on thurs for my appt in hospital for induction, so trying to work to that.

PeckaRolloverAgain · 02/12/2007 16:31

I have a belly pain but im pretty positive I need a poo! TMI!!

We are in the middle of putting the trees up, we have 4 this year. Totally overboard I know but its distracting me from the last few weeks of pregnancy.

Im not due til boxing day so may as well make the most of the build up to christmas

BunnyBaby · 02/12/2007 17:06

Had a lovely weekend, brother was down, went shopping for last minute bits and bobs and went out again today to do more bits and bobs. Enjoy keeping active and see these overdue days as 'bonus days', where I can finish more 'meaning to do' things. Also know I am so close to babybunny now!

Well done all those with Christmas Trees up, still trying to get DH to put ours up and he's being a bit of a humbug (though he did do the laundry, empties and refilled pool and cleaned bunnies out bless)

RGPargy · 02/12/2007 17:11

I really cant believe alot of you have your trees up already! Pecka - you are SHOCKING at having FOUR TREES!!!!

We'll be having just a small one this year with some nice little lights around the room or summat. As to when we'll put them up, i have no idea!

cazzybabs · 02/12/2007 17:30

Pecka - I have had that feeling too today - I now feel much better! But I do also have backache!

Anyway - I am still here....due date (by LMP tomorrow!)...with no signs yet except the feeling of being full of baby!

Nbg · 02/12/2007 17:35

Pecka you beat me at the trees.
We have 3 up, one real, one fibre optic and a fake one.

Amani · 02/12/2007 17:37

Evening ladies,
Got some quiet time to myself so logging on to catch up with latest and see if any babies have arrived.....not yet I see!!

Cazzybabes -love that expression 'full of baby' - feel like that too. DH, DD and I have been going for long walks in the evening in the hope of shifting things down a little....not even a twinge yet!

claireybraxtonhicks · 02/12/2007 18:12

Lol skid, I'd love it to slip out without me noticing! As long as it is 6lbs and not too much under then thats fine... Just wish they hadn't been so doom and gloom about it at my scan really.

Have had a major cookathon today-have cooked a spag bol, chilli, chicken curry, beef stew and lamb stew for my freezer. At least we'll be eating semi properly after baby arrives, even if it will be repetitive! Maybe that's as far as nesting will go for me, certainly havent been having any cleaning urges!

Really sick of having this cold now, seems to be a lingerer-dd has had it for well over a week now and it's already been 4 days for me-hope its gone by the time baby arrives!

V

claireybraxtonhicks · 02/12/2007 18:14

Ooh random V at the end there!

And I just read cookathon as cockathon, even though I wrote it seconds before . DH wishes LOL

Caz10 · 02/12/2007 18:23

PMSL at a cockathon - no chance of that in our house either!

I am sitting here really wishing my nesting instinct would kick in...have baby stuff to wash and sort, Xmas pressies to wrap etc and just cannot summon up the energy. Keep finding myself back on the sofa without really knowing how I got there..!

Been out walking today too Amani, it's getting harder isn't it?!

RGPargy · 02/12/2007 18:25

There seems to be loads of Caz's due in December. Are you all Carols? It must be something to do with Christmas, yes? (I'm a Carol too)

cazzybabs · 02/12/2007 18:46

I am a caroline - but the name cazzybabs came from drunken student days!

I too an waiting for my nesting instinct to kick in...where is the damn thing!

bambino1andbigbump · 02/12/2007 19:58

Evening everyone.
Just popping in quick to see if there are anymore LO's but not yet I see.
My bump is soo low and uncomfortable. Got 38 week check tomo! Can't believe i'm 38 weeks!!

My nesting instinct has well and truelly kicked in. I can't stop cleaning! All christmas presents are wrapped, all christmas cards are done and all decs are up! I feel soo organised its scaring me!! Well and truely ready for LO to come but doubt it will yet!

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 02/12/2007 20:02

Evening ladies

Well lo has not made appearance yet despite lots of pains that come and go.

Kitchen finally done today and felt that once we had filled cupboards with food (been living off take aways) my waters might break!

Anyhow nothing so will be going in to see cons at 10.30 in the morning.Hopefully on examination my cervix will have softened and he will be able to induce me giving me the vbac i hope for otherwise i will have section on tues.

Either way its all happening soon and I am suddenly v nervous. Baby still moving about but its bringing back some unhappy memories of last time i went in to deliver stillborn dd

Think my emotions must be on overdrive and hopefully will feel better in morning.Rested most of today as sis loooked after dd and dh cleaned up.In bed now and hoping for a good nights sleep to conserve some energy.

Really thought lo would have arrived by now and did not think I would make tomorrows appt.

I will let you know as soon as

Good luck
x

mellymooks · 02/12/2007 20:07

thinking of you chocp, hope it happens naturally for you. loads of positive vibes and hugs to you xxxxxxx

insywinsyspider · 02/12/2007 20:09

Was just going to post but the chances are I?d have miss a couple of baby?s so had the mammoth task of reading all your posts!

Fifi ? I?m the same a girl at work, due to finish day after me, baby due week after me, had her baby boy on Wednesday so but glad they are ok cause she was only 36 wks ? congrats on iron levels, glad drips have worked

Clairey ? hope everyones comments about smaller babies have made you feel better ? you may have grown a small baby but the most important thing is they are perfectly formed, and if after 37 wks they are strong enough for the real world x (and scans can be 1lb out either way ? its all a black art really, we were told ds would be a monster but that because they work out weight from measurements and he had long legs and big belly! He was 7lb 3oz)

Any news RG?

Wizzka ? guess you are in hosp/labour now so I hope everything is going well, thinking of you

Decided not to do xmas tree yet, probably far too exhausting running round after ds trying to stop him destroying it! Have got nativity scene out tho as its advent Sunday.

As for names, still not decided on middle names, haven?t got into nesting (loopsy & melly, glad I?m not the only one!) dh is back from US tho, baby?s room is done and I?ve been having period type pains for past couple of days, can?t work out if that?s because it?s the weekend and I?ve been running round after ds or things are starting, don?t feel hungry at all just slightly sick and restless probably wishful thinking!

Chocp ? good luck for tomorrow, hope you get to meet lo soon

RGPargy · 02/12/2007 20:10

Good luck for tomorrow Choc. Thinking of you xxx

RGPargy · 02/12/2007 20:10

Insy - no news. Everything's quietened down again.

insywinsyspider · 02/12/2007 20:16

sorry to hear that RG

I've just heard friend has had miscarriage, baby had no heartbeat at 12 wks scan it died 3 wks ago, she had scan on fri but only just been able to text to let people know - she's in for D&C on tues... don't know what to do or say being so preg... anyone been in this situation?

mellymooks · 02/12/2007 20:29

Huge sympathies to your friend, Insy.
Not same situation, but friend of mine had her baby at 28 weeks and he got pneumonia and died about 6 weeks later, was awful cause I was about 6andhalf months along and doing so well, obviously pregnant and I didn't think she would want to see me or talk about the baby or anything, but I just kept in touch by txt and let her know I was thinking of her and generally let her take the lead, she has since said to me that it was a comfort to her to see me and my bump and talk positively about having a baby.
So i would suggest going on that route, just letting your friend know you're there and thinking of her, but let her show the lead on of she actually wants to see you/be around you at the mo.
It's a really tough situation to be in, but it's not your fault and she knows that, but she may not want to actually see you for a bit in person.
Hope this helps a bit sorry i feel as if i've rambled...

mellymooks · 02/12/2007 20:30

Sorry to hear no pogress RG

cazzybabs · 02/12/2007 20:34

Insy - I had a mc on Christmas day last year (my 2nd one) - I was 11 weeks. It was horrid - I can still remember it so clearly. I would send her a card to say you are thinking of her - I wanted to aviod all pregnant people or people with babies as I was sure I was never ever going to be able to either get pregnanct again OR else I was going to keep having mcs!

I really feel for your friend! This can be a shit time of year if things go wrong.

mellymooks · 03/12/2007 07:40

Morning Everyone!

Cazzy - so sad to hear what you've been through also.

Still no news as yet on anyone then?

I keep getting the odd twinge but nothing more, off to yoga this morning in the hope that might encourage things along!

Can't believe i'm so near my due date finally, kind of seems unreal now it's so close.

What's anyone else up to today?
