Hello and congratulations, lovely lot.

It's been a bumpy road so DP and I aren't telling anyone until late September. But I need to talk to someone!!!

How are you?

Is anyone else starting to feel HUGE already?? Baby was wriggling like mad last night and DP freaked me out by saying ‘oh you’re due another big belly growth spurt’. With the back pain, shuffles to get off the sofa and all ability to bend already lost I’m ever so slightly panicked for what I’ll be like in the next 15 weeks!! I know I’ll get bigger of course, but I’m thinking just how big can I get?!?

Ladder789 · 21/12/2021 10:55

@Staryflight445
I am good thank god.
Got a Covid test and it was negative.

My OH just had a really bad cold.

Now to the next worry....🤷🏻‍♀️
20 week scan today, but I am actually 21w4d
They leave twins later for visability.
I have been awake all night thinking about it

🙏🏻

Staryflight445 · 21/12/2021 11:40

Good luck @Ladder789

Staryflight445 · 21/12/2021 11:46

I’m good too! Just trying to COVID dodge my children.
Feeling lots of movement, kicks and noticed I am leaking colostrum already.
Will be 24 weeks friday! Looking forward to hitting viability week.

Ladder789 · 22/12/2021 08:48

All went well thank God.
We have a little boy & a little girl on the way 😍

Chillipoppers · 29/12/2021 17:38

Hello all you lovely mamas to be (and papas if you are here too).

I'm due with my first on the 4th April 2022 with a little boy. Anyone here a teacher and struggling with the idea of going into school given the new Covid varient. I'm suffering with panic attacks and have been signed off. I'm worried that the worst case scenario will happen given the previous government measures in the third trimester. 😕

Hi ladies! Happy new Year! How’s everyone doing ? X

Staryflight445 · 09/01/2022 10:47

Happy new year! All good here @FinnsMammy how are you?

FinnsMammy · 09/01/2022 11:50

@Staryflight445 I’m good thank you 27weeks today so almost in the third trimester it’s flying by now. I started to pick up little pieces for her wardrobe too so all becoming real! X

Staryflight445 · 09/01/2022 18:43

It definitely is starting to feel real! We have started to pick up clothes too, We’ve bought pushchair also but have kept it in its box.

I guess there’s no safe point in pregnancy and you can’t just not buy anything worrying about that.

Sabristhebest · 22/01/2022 13:32

Hi all, hope all the mamas are doing well!
Currently 28w3d
Had my GTT last week, drink wasn’t bad at all but the 2 hour wait bluddy was! No signal and hard hospital chairs accompanied by the worst rib pain.
Had my 28 week appt yesterday, GTT results came back normal, thank god. Baby is measuring well and had a lovely heartbeat. Had protein in urine but my midwife said I just need to drink more water, although slightly worried I could have pre eclampsia (BP was normal at the appt) will mention at my 31 week appointment.
Also, I mentioned My super itchy feet/legs but no rash and she took another blood sample to check for cholestasis straight away, she prescribed me some menthol cream and antihistamine to ease the itch. I believe with pregnancy cholestasis I could be induced early and be monitored carefully with weekly blood tests.

How is everyone else’s third trimester treating them?

Staryflight445 · 24/01/2022 12:34

Hey @Sabristhebest I had my GTT last week too, I agree the hair chairs, the heat and the inability to go and wander around for 2 hours is pure hell isn’t it.
My midwife couldn’t see my results at my appointment but nobody has called so I assume all is well.
I have my first growth scan tomorrow which is exciting!
Nothing going on here pregnancy wise, all is running smoothly and I’m hoping things continue this way.

Hope everyone else is all good!

FinnsMammy · 15/02/2022 19:46

Anyone have their growth scan yet ? I’m 32 weeks abs baby measuring in the 78th percentile for weight ! My son was only 50th percentile and I still had forceps delivery and full episiotomy so I’m getting worried now 🙈

Sabristhebest · 15/02/2022 20:16

@FinnsMammy my growth scan is in 4 weeks at 36 weeks!
Good luck for delivering your bubba 🙈 hope it goes smoothly with no forceps!
Has anyone packed their hospital bag yet??

FinnsMammy · 15/02/2022 20:38

@Sabristhebest thanks you too! I haven’t but I’m going to try to pack it in the next 2 weeks or so xx

Staryflight445 · 19/02/2022 18:17

I had mine at 31 weeks 5 days. Baby was weighing 4lb 7oz.

@FinnsMammy not sure what percentile? Lol.

Staryflight445 · 19/02/2022 18:18

Not packed hospital bag yet here but starting to buy the bits I need for it!

Anyone seen any cheapy dark PJs? I don’t normally wear them and always really struggle with bleeding after birth so they’ll probably get ruined.
Can’t seem to find a pair under £25 🤯

Sabristhebest · 19/02/2022 18:44

@Staryflight445 primark have these stunning button up black pjs for £12, brought myself one.
Also check on boohoo!

FinnsMammy · 19/02/2022 19:06

@Staryflight445 I was 31 plus 5 and baby was 2kg so that’s about 4 pounds 7 ounces..so looks like we both gave babies the same weight 🥰 I can’t remember if your having a boy or girl I’m not sure if they change the percentiles based on the gender. I bought a lively comfy navy pair of pjs in primark yesterday on sale only 10 euro I bought a size small and loads of room as super stretchy

Staryflight445 · 19/02/2022 19:21

Thank you @Sabristhebest I’ll have to pop into primark and have a look, sounds ideal!

@FinnsMammy this is baby 3 for us, a boy! They seem to just above 8lb at birth for us.
Primark it is then! 😅.

Any of you been buying big stuff yet? We’re still yet to change the car, buy a cot and mattress and all the little bits.
😅, living life on the edge!

Emmasfirstbump88 · 02/03/2022 19:49

Hi everyone :) new to mumsnet and 33 weeks today. I am really craving some company on the last leg of this journey!

Staryflight445 · 04/03/2022 06:35

Hi @Emmasfirstbump88 how are you getting on?
👋

Emmasfirstbump88 · 05/03/2022 14:31

Hi @Staryflight445 :) Doing okay thank you! Lots of movement each day which keeps me calm as I’m prone to anxiety, worrying about every thing that could go wrong.
Feeling a bit of a set back as last week was put on one metaformin each day as have GD. Was managing it well with diet until I hit 32 weeks!
How are you doing? x
