@Ladder789 I think I'm feeling movements especially last night at 19W1D.
I've been keeping track of anything I think is movement or a kicks and can see they've been daily since 25th November.
In addition on 23rd November definitely saw my baby girl roll - it was so odd. I'm so annoyed I didn't have my phone on me.

DH can't feel any of the kicks which is why I say I think I feel movement.

How far along are you?

FinnsMammy · 02/12/2021 15:43

@Ladder789 I’m over 21 weeks now and I feel her a lot but nothing compared to my my first baby at21 weeks. I checked my records from my first baby and my placenta was posterior this time it’s anterior which makes sense as with anterior it acts like a padded cushion so you won’t feel as much movement . Have you asked if yours is anterior or posterior. In any case I didn’t feel anything with my son until I was 20 weeks on the button this baby I felt around 17 weeks although I knew that to expect ! X

Ha, just noticed this thread was started by @littleacceb on July 26th. I was on day 3 of my LMP and some of you ladies already had your BFPs. It is mental how long a month/cycle is.

Ladder789 · 03/12/2021 00:17

@wannabeamummysobad
I am now 19 weeks.
I do feel flutters, but just a few per day.

How do you keep track of movement...just in a little journal? I am just mentally making notes of them.

I def don't feel kicks or see rolling.

I am not overweight, the nurse got my BMI at week 12 as 23 .

I didn't ask about the placenta @FinnsMammy, I should have.
I may just wait and see now I guess... 🤷🏻‍♀️, which is horrible. I really just want to know that all is good.

You don't need to keep track of movements until about 28
it's difficult to notice patterns up to that point, as you can't feel all the movements just yet, just the strongest ones close to the surface.
The NHS has an app (I've not used it before) for when you start tracking, to help you notice patterns. I would say you get to know roughly how frequently your baby moves and when they move following external stimulus, such as drinking a glass of cold water. I didn't track movements in my first pregnancy because she moved almost constantly, so can't give much advice on it, but I find a Mumsnet article about it www.mumsnet.com/articles/monitoring-baby-movements
weeks..www.nhs.uk/apps-library/kicks-count/

wannabeamummysobad · 03/12/2021 08:01

@Ladder789 I keep a daily note on my iPhone and at the end of the week consolidate my notes and thoughts into a pregnancy journal DH bought for me on Etsy. I also add pics to this journal too.

In my daily notes I write the time, what o think I felt and what I was doing - so far I only feel something when I'm doing something mindless (watching a box set, sleeping etc) x

FinnsMammy · 03/12/2021 09:04

@Ladder789 I was going to say the same as @Griffer you are not expected to track movements now it’s way too early wait until your closer to your third trimester. Like I said I didn’t feel my first baby until 20 weeks and they say 18 to 22 weeks I think is standard to feel the first flutters for your first baby. I also didn’t track my first baby’s movements as he moved a lot but if I had a busy day and was distracted I would drink a glass of orange juice and lie down on my side and then sure he enough he would be kicking away again . You will start to know your baby’s pattern in time. I really wouldn’t worry about it this early on xx

Staryflight445 · 03/12/2021 17:44

I’m 21 weeks and have been feeling movement since around 15 weeks, it is baby 3 though. My placenta is anterior for the first time and I have noticed I’m not feeling movements as hard as I did with my other 2.
It is normal not to feel them yet though so I wouldn’t be worried about movement.
Please don’t track movements yet you need to be pattern aware so you can act if something is off. You don’t want to be pining at your notes for reassurance instead of seeking help.

wannabeamummysobad · 03/12/2021 17:50

I recognise that you don't need to count kicks this early on but what is the harm in becoming aware with how your body feels?

Staryflight445 · 03/12/2021 18:08

They don’t gain a proper rhythm until much later, fixating on them now just leads to unnecessary anxiety. It’s common to not feel them for a day or 2 atm.

Staryflight445 · 03/12/2021 18:10

But that isn’t common later on, of course.
Kick counting hasn’t been recommended since I had my first child 7 years ago.
You’ll know when you’ve not felt your child for a while and will know when to go be seen.
You don’t want any journals of movement that will reassure you as it could prevent you from seeking assistance.

Sabristhebest · 06/12/2021 13:39

Anyone else finding their pregnancy dragging?
I mean the exciting 20 week scan is done, now no more scan until 36 weeks (I mean that's 16 WEEK GAP?!), symptoms have eased so I feel normal? The kicks are absolutely lovely to feel and shopping is helping the time to pass but honestly 9 months is a bluddy long time! 😂😂😂 I just want bubba here already so I can have all the newborn cuddles and kisses!
Might book a cheeky 4d scan treat for my birthday in January, I'll be 27 weeks😍🙏🏻
How is everyone else getting along? Does anyone plan on getting a private scan?

Sabristhebest · 06/12/2021 13:40

Oh god, I hope I don't sound ungrateful. I am honestly so so so grateful for my rainbow, I'm just too impatient. ☺️

wannabeamummysobad · 06/12/2021 14:18

My scan isn't until Wednesday so definitely not as chill as you @Sabristhebest 🤣.

I've had a few private scans as I'm too impatient - one at 7 weeks (so I could feel comfortable if people asked if I was pregnant), one at 10 weeks (ran a half marathon and a b!tch on MN scared the life out of me), one at 17 weeks (to confirm gender plus got a 4DG image of our beautiful 💓).

Not sure if I'll have any more but we'll see. As at our last scan she was measuring 50th percentile but they mentioned my placenta was posterior low laying- guessing if it's not moved and or she's growing ahead I'll be offered more. My focus is a healthy baby but if I'm missing her face before her arrival in April 2022 I have no issues paying for more private scans - she's our first pregnancy and baby plus I'm not drinking so saving a tonne x

Griffer · 06/12/2021 15:02

I had my 20 week scan on Saturday. All measuring good, but low lying placenta and close to section scar, so another scan later on to check it's moved up and away.
There isn't normally another scan now, unless they have concerns about something in particular, so if you have a 36 week scan, that's more than most.
As well as checking placenta position, I'll need growth scans this time around, due to my massive baby last time (there was no indication she was going to be big so I didn't have extra scans last time).
I'll not get any private scans. I'm just not that bothered, but understand why others might be.
Although I feel the first 20 weeks had dragged, I think the next will fly by, what with Christmas coming up, then I'll start to get organised with things we still need to get (this is my second, so have most stuff already), so that'll help pass the time. I also have so many consultant appointments etc. And a toddler, my time will be filled 😂

FinnsMammy · 06/12/2021 15:08

@Sabristhebest yes but you know what I think it is because it’s December too. I think next month when we are all in January it will be like oh yes we are in 2022 the year of the baby 👶🏻! I know I want to start shopping too but I’m like just wait until Jan sales plus work always quietens down for me in December so I feel like Ive more time to think about it!! @wannabeamummysobad so true on the alcohol front although for me covid did that anyway lol ! When I had my first baby though pre covid I saved a bomb on nights out lol 😂

cupcakesandglitter · 07/12/2021 20:23

@FinnsMammy I think the same - once Christmas is over (it always flies by!) we'll be in the new year and the next three months will go so quickly!!

I had my 20w scan today - thankfully all great and little man has been kicking and rolling all day 😁

Ladder789 · 12/12/2021 10:31

Covid positive....
Hi all, did anyone get Covid while pregnant?
My OH just had a positive antigen test and we are both booked in for Covid tests later today.
I am freaking ....
I do have a bunged up nose and yesterday I felt hot and difficulty in breathing.
To make matter worse I am feeling less movement the last couple of days.
Currently 20w2d

I haven't personally but know quite a few who have and being pregnant has made no difference (they were double vaxed). It's in the third trimester it seems to be dangerous. Hope you don't get it regardless.
Staryflight445 · 15/12/2021 12:50

How are you @Ladder789?

My 6 year old had a positive lft this morning so I’ve had to take her for a PCR.
Hopefully can stay away from catching it 🤯

llamabeans · 15/12/2021 21:23

Hi @Griffer! I'd be interested in joining a smaller group. I find it hard to keep up when there's lots of people. Your link above didn't work, though.

Will be back with an update on my twins in the next few days when I've got the time to sit down and write one!

Griffer · 15/12/2021 21:31

@llamabeans there was a bit of a glitch so I had to make a new one. I've ended up making it for 15th-21st April to reduce the size, but tbh I'm completely ok with anyone joining. There's one other who's 26th April I think. Just keeping the member numbers lower. There's currently 40 of us.

Hopefully that works?

Hey ladies. Happy Christmas 🎄. Just checking in to see how everyone is doing? I’m doing good can’t wait to finish up work for the holidays so I can kick back ...feeling lots of movement from this little one today 😍🥰

wannabeamummysobad · 21/12/2021 07:10

@FinnsMammy whoop! I finished for the year yesterday- sooo happy! DH finishes today then Xmas can truly begin.

I'm 22 weeks tomorrow - loving my bump and feeling much calmer than I did in the 1st trimester which is great.

How's everyone else?
