Same here. I don't mind the seasonal ones I can guess but it makes me all disorientated when I don't know who I'm talking to. But I think I am a little bit stupid at times these days.
peachy - good news about getting diagnosis and the extra support that brings.

I am panicing HUGELY about my scan today - have got myself convinced will all go wrong.

Sheds75 · 28/11/2007 09:01

wow, I leave the office for 1 day and there are pages and pages to catch up on .

how do you ladies stay up after 10 pm, I'm amazed, if I see 11pm it is time to celebrate

Sheds75 · 28/11/2007 09:06

Ellie I'm sure all will be fine, what time is your scan (do you have time to comfort yourself with chocolate?)

Soph73 · 28/11/2007 09:16

ellie - are you still here, what time´s your scan? I´m sure everything will be fine, but I know how you feel. Mine´s tomorrow & I´m slowly working myself into a quivering wreck sheds - good idea about choccie though

EllieG · 28/11/2007 09:19

No sorry scan isn't today, it's on friday, I am just panicing today. Very stupid I know but I had horrible dreams about it going wrong and woke up so anxious. Sure will be fine though.

TLSM · 28/11/2007 09:24

Morning All

Ellie I am sure all will be fine it is only natural that you will worry (I think we all do - its part of being a mum)

Regarding the nursery thing we are reducing Max's hours down to the free sessions he gets as is 3 1/2 there is no way we could afford the £750 for the 4 days he does now! so he will go 2 hours 5 mornings a week which will be nice then its big school in September! my baby grewed up

I am thinking of putting this one with a childminder when I go back to work in January so she could then pick Maxie up from school and i pick them both up from her at 4! Max was at home with me then John until he was 2 1/2 so I feel a tad guilty that this one will only be 9 months when he goes to someone

Oh oh i have just won this set for baby Tom (I love calling him by his name )

Cowboy set

EllieG · 28/11/2007 09:26

Cute! I like the name Tom too.
Sorry for moaning x

Soph73 · 28/11/2007 09:26

I tell you what ellie, I´ll hold your hand on Friday if you promise to hold mine tomorrow - how does that sound DH & I were discussing whether DS will think scan is "wow" or whether he´ll think it´s freaky (he´s a very sensitive child).

Soph73 · 28/11/2007 09:29

tlsm - our DS is called Tom ... great name Oh and 750 quid. When this lo goes to nursery it´ll be 200/250 euros for 5 days a week with food included. DS reliably informed me I swallowed baby to get in my tummy last night, then ran off - time for a chat I think

Soph73 · 28/11/2007 09:30

ellie - don´t be silly, you don´t have to apologise for moaning on here that´s why we´re all here

natalies1982 · 28/11/2007 09:32

Good Morning all
i went to be bed when kids went last night and just relaxed and watched with tv, Jon was ill had a temp of nearly 40 last night but hes ok this morning and so far kids dont seem to have it so fingers crossed.

Matthew has nursery today from 1 to 3.30 and holly at school til 3.10 so will have 2 hours peace later.

TMSL- how old is max? matthew was 3 in july and starts school in september he will be one of the youngest at just 4 years 2 months.

what are you all doing today? i want to go somewhere but dont know where and dont know if i have the energy

EllieG · 28/11/2007 09:35

Thanks soph - it's a deal

I am mostly sitting at my desk not doing much and wishing I was at home asleep. Am on go-slow this week. Had a really busy week at work and I just can't get motivated now.

natalies1982 · 28/11/2007 09:36

aww ellie im sure ur scan will be fine what r u most worried about?
i dont have mine for 3 weeks im excited at the mo but think as i get nearer i will be worried about it incase something is wrong.

soph good luck for ur 2morrow incase i forget, what time is urs and r u finding out the sex?

Soph73 · 28/11/2007 09:37

Snap - just sitting, trying to dig up some enthusiasm. Fortunately the students are very quiet & well behaved this morning I hate Wednesday's - it´s that middle of the week feeling. Tomorrow I´ll be much better (mainly because it´s chip day )

Soph73 · 28/11/2007 09:40

natalie - morning Scan is at 6pm & yes definitely want to find out what colour it is. BTW Tom started school at 2.11 yrs old. However, they do start at 3 at our school He was (and still is) the tallest in his class, bless him!

Peachy · 28/11/2007 09:45

DS3 starts school part time next month (he was 4 in July), he's looing forwards to it, not sure school is LOL!

scorpio1 · 28/11/2007 09:52

Ellie don't worry (easier said than done i know!) i'm sure baby will be fine. are you doing flavour?

Soph Scan tomorrow, and flavour finding!! don't worry about birthday ake weight, just pretend baby had a growth spurt this week

VS I wasn't -ing at you, just at some opinions of others and their vanity. IMHO (and please bear in mind i have never had one touch wood) i think Caeseareans are big surgery. my friend had one and it took her ages to be normal again.

Re nurseries etc: ds1 goes to school full time (5.6) so thats ok, And ds2 starts pre-school (2.5 hrs a day) in january. He will stay a full day for one of the days of the week, probably a tuesday because thats when baby club/massage etc is. and it will break up the week nicely! Will cost about £25 a week but thats fine for us, currently childcare is £100 p/w cos of uni so a massive saving!!

Reilly keeps saying to me your tummy's fat isn't it mummy? i keep telling him a baby girl is in there but they're not having it that she is a she. Reilly then proceeded to tell me full of glee about how dd got in there - seeds and eggs! dss was told by his mum that a baby comes from when the doctor puts an egg in the tummy and when its time you go back and they get it out of a special door in your bellybutton no mention of any kind of truth or indeed a father or love! He is 6 too, its a bit worrying.

We have nicknamed baby Millie so when i say Millie you all know who i mean!!

TLSM · 28/11/2007 10:04

Nat max was 3 on the 24th June so also will be one of the youngest Max chose the name Tom ( I think his fav train had something to do with it) he was also keen on calling the baby Nanny Whiteway!

Last Friday i was sitting next to Max and he started making a grunting noise I asked him what he was doing he told me he was having a baby then he gave one last loud grunt and saw "ah thats it the baby has come out my Bum" then said "oh he is dirty I put him in the bin" have decided not to watch discovery health whilst max is in the room!

scorpio1 · 28/11/2007 10:07

pmsl @ your ds!!

EllieG · 28/11/2007 10:11

TLSM - at Tom! So funny!

I defo want to find out flavour - am much too curious not too. Natalie - I had a MMC in March and scans give me the heebie-jeebies - can't shake the worry that will go along like did then and find out baby had died. Sure it won't have, because logically, signs are that am still PG, but logic doesn't put in much of an appearence in the wee small hours.

Peachy · 28/11/2007 10:14

PMSL at AMx (I have a Max- wella s a middle name- and thats the sort of stuff he comes out with as well)

My bys have the Mummy Laid An Egg book so they are very well informed indeed! Its great- makes me pmsl every time I read it.

DS3 will put his head up to my tummy and say Hello Baby now (probably helps that hsi friend at CM's has a sibling sue in february) but I dont think he ahs a clue that baby will really come out LOL!

Soph73 · 28/11/2007 10:31

Morning scorpio It sounds as though your dss needs to be set straight on a couple of things tlsm - LOL at your ds, aren´t they cute ellie - if you ever do find any of that elusive logic, can you send me some?

EllieG · 28/11/2007 10:50

My friend lent me the mummy laid an egg book! Was great - me and DSD laughed and laughed over it, was lovely. She is very well informed now too, but not in a scary way.

elliegirl · 28/11/2007 10:51

Hello ladies

Any first time mums out there who felt their baby kick at 19 weeks? I've been feeling 'kick's but I'm worried I've imagined it now as one of my friends remarked on it being early to tell.

Annieroo · 28/11/2007 10:57

Good morning, I'm sure i've felt kicks and i'm 19+3. very few and far inbetween though - and not sure if it's just wind half the time
