Morning all. Sorry I disappeared quickly yesterday but bloody computer wouldn´t let me back in Well am leaving in 20 mins. Have great big butterflies & feel sick. Will speak to you all later - good luck to everyone else today

Denny185 · 30/11/2007 09:31

Good luck to all having scans today.

Congrats babywhiting

Massivemolly my friend had strepb after her last baby and this time has to have AB's during labour, she said there is a massive sticker on her notes and when they were in the rack visable for all to see it made her feel a bit unclean.

Had some good news this week, friend of mine had a MMC earlier of this year is pregnant again and has just had a good 8/40 scan (she in the US so bit diff over there)

scampmum · 30/11/2007 10:05

SuzeM · 30/11/2007 10:25

Chipmonkey ... you may well be right!

Babywhiting, congrats on your little girlie.

Good luck to those of you having scans.

I'm leaving work in a while to go to Dublin. Have a good weekend.

chipmonkey · 30/11/2007 10:46

Business or pleasure in Dublin, Suze?

TheMaskedPoster · 30/11/2007 10:50

good luck to all the Scan-ees today xxx

SuzeM · 30/11/2007 11:26

Pleasure, well, seeing family

ToastAddict · 30/11/2007 12:28

Just got back from my scan
All well, had a fab sonographer, but baby was fast asleep in an awkward position, so not only could she not tell what sex it was, she couldn't do all the things she needed to do.

Despite doing some very un-flattering belly wobbles and going for a fast furious walk around, baby still wasn't playing.

So I have to go back next Wednesday - going in the afternoon, when hopefully baby will be awake - so kind of annoyed that we didn't get it all done today but that we get to have another look next week

We did get to see it opening its mouth and waving, which was just

Denny185 · 30/11/2007 12:34

Sorry she didnt get everything done, but bonus extra scan next week you can see your LO again

VictorianSqualor · 30/11/2007 12:36

We got a wave too toastaddict, and a piccy that the sonographer labelled 'Fingers'

paranoidmummy · 30/11/2007 14:02

they seemed to be but it is macdonalds!

sagitta · 30/11/2007 14:04

Paranoidmummy, I'm sure they were fine. Macdonalds would be pretty catious I would have thought.

hope scan goes well Soph - I'll try to have a look tomorrow to see news.
And nice to have a second scan, toast (I like the new name!)

I'm wearing heels and lipstick for the first time in months, and off to meetings and Xmas party now. I'm coming clean to all about being pregnant today. (And hoping I don't lose my contract because of it from very scary boss...)Wish me luck.
Have good weekends everyone.

VictorianSqualor · 30/11/2007 14:04

I've worked at maccyd's practically everything is cooked at about 200C, so I'd bet they were cooked properly.

Well ... you ready .... it´s a .......BOY! So well & truly outnumbered now Have got fab 3D photos & DVD, really wish you could see them Feel free to CAT if you want to. Gynae was brill & says he´s perfect Next scan on 21 December. Gynae says I´m 19+6 wks. Can´t stop smiling

Soph73 · 30/11/2007 14:19

Which probably explains why I wasn´t feeling much!! At least now I can relax. DS1 (wow, I can say that now) is over the moon and so is DH (although he didn´t mind either way). sagitta - have fun & ignore your scary boss

northeastmummy · 30/11/2007 14:21

Well - I think I'm finally over my bug! Today is the first day this week that I've managed to eat and I feel awake enough to catch up on all your news properly. I've missed SO much!

I've added a pic of my DH and DD from last weekend - it's not great but it's the best I have at the moment. I really must take more pics. I don't think he really looks much like anyone or anything ... but he's mine and I love him .

Scorpio - it's so funny reading your posts about Millie. That's my DD's name - she was JoJo before she was born. She now has a giraffe called JoJo and bizarrely it's her favourite cuddly.

MassiveMollyfloss - I have strep and also have big yellow stickers all over my notes!

On another note, has anyone heard of a website that has reviews of maternity hospitals around the country? Apparently Aberdeen gets a right slating - but I can't find it anywhere.

northeastmummy · 30/11/2007 14:22

What's CAT?

northeastmummy · 30/11/2007 14:26

Soph - I should have said, congratulations on a great scan. It sounds like it was fab. Was it a private one? We're going to go for a private scan some time in January just to get a gender but probably won't do the 3D one.

And congratulations for all the other scans too!

Soph73 · 30/11/2007 14:28

It´s where you can send a message to other MNetters & you get each other´s e-mail addresses. I think there´s a small fee though.

Soph73 · 30/11/2007 14:29

Yes, NEM, this was a private scan because he speaks fluent English & my Spanish medical terminology is not brill (understatement of the week)
