Have DS, 13 months. Stopped bf in Oct and immediately got pg but was chemical preg which I lost at 5 weeks. Now got BFP today, very excited. Quite faint line but definitely a line.

Anyone want to join?

Really hope it all works out mummypud, it's good the bleeding has stopped.

Well I no longer feel pregnant, apart from the insomnia. I go to bed exhausted but then toss and turn. I've taken to sleeping in the spare bed. If it weren't for this I'd be convinced I was having phantom pregnancy!!.

Have my booking in appointment through for 25th Jan. Can't wait to see baby on screen, seems like ages away

Hope everybodies had a good christmas. My stomach has expanded but surely that's the pregnancy and not the chocolates ??

mum2go · 28/12/2007 14:09

Location: birmingham,.west mids

EDD: 23rd August 2008

MollieMooma · 28/12/2007 14:12

Mummypud- still keeping fingers and toes crossed for you.
Bea- I nearly cried when I read about your parents (bl**dy hormones) that is so sweet. My mother has been desperate for grandchildren for about 2 years (the whole time we've been trying) and at times put too much pressure on, but she's very very excited, MIL will be a gm twice next yr as SIL due April so she's happy too
Hope all the MS sufferers are better today, had a bit of nauseau this morning, but after a few cheeselets felt much better. Time for a nap now me thinks!

PoinsettiaBouquets · 28/12/2007 17:08

Well I had a decent helping of chicken casserole at my mum's this lunchtime and think it would have stayed down but I pushed it too far with a post-prandial cup of tea and out it all came (still delicious in a way LOL.) Oh the joy of eating proper food though, IT WAS WORTH IT!
Would have been nice with biscuits too I'm sure...

kathryn77 · 28/12/2007 21:14

Am I too late to join?

Think we are due mid august. ds currently 17 months.. am in a state of shock at moment as took ages to conceive ds and now pregant first month of trying1

libbyssister · 28/12/2007 23:03

Lovely that you gave your parents some happy Christmas news, Bea, difficult time of year for them (and you) otherwise, I imagine.

You're all brave telling people already. We haven't told anyone yet and won't for a long time, if we can help it. Didn't tell our families about ds until 20 weeks!! And they didn't have a clue....

Don't know that my rubbish stomach muscles will let me go that long unnoticed this time!!

warthog · 29/12/2007 08:35

is everyone else super-tired? i don't remember being this tired first time round. like i'm walking around in a fog with weights tied to my arms and legs!

FoghornLeghorn · 29/12/2007 08:38

I am exhausted Warthog, I seriously feel like I could sleep standing bolt upright !

I am looking forward to my booking in apt next week, have been having horrendous stomach cramps, was in tears last night. DH feels useless because there's nothing he can do so I try and not show how much they hurt but they are absolute agony.
Roll on Thursday when I can see midwife

warthog · 29/12/2007 08:50

fog, what do you do for your cramps? hot water bottle? do you think it's your ligaments stretching? good luck for thurs. hope she has some way of alleviating your symptoms.

i had some cramping last week but i didn't know what to do.

Sassylou · 29/12/2007 10:30

Good morning all. Haven't been on for a while as feeling absolutely rotten, not helped by all the Christmas frenzy! Anyway, finally had my dating scan yday and my guestimate of 1st August was pretty close, EDD 31st July 2008.

In a way am a bit disappointed as was hoping I was more than nine weeks as feeling so awful was looking forward to feeling better in only a week or so. Looks like I've got a few more weeks of nervousness and feeling yuck!

Dating scan was fab, never had such an early one before, amazing to see the little heartbeat!

Even though I've got a July date would like to stay on this group if that's ok as have been here since the start and as I went overdue by 10 days with my other two I am thinking this will be an August baby.

Have updated the list with my details.

Sassylou, earlier is better! Longer before the schoolruns begin .
Well, I did something a bit Emperors New Clothes and bought a subliminal NLP anti-morning sickness download off Ebay - 2 tracks, one is wave noises and one is silent! Played both last night and actually feeling less vomity today but that could just be recuperation from my virus natch. Will keep using it and DH is going to stick it on the MP3 player for me so I can listen in bed. I just thought £5 was worth the punt for a desperate woman like me.
Fatigue has now hit me like a truck though .

pinguin · 29/12/2007 16:27

Hey captaincaveman, I'm in Hertford so the QE2 is my nearest, means I can have my antenatal appts in Hertford...

I'm dead jealous of people who've got their booking in appts already, can't wait for mine! Can't wait to be able to tell people at work so they will start keeping the scary chemicals out of my way (def going to find some paperwork to do for the first couple of weeks back).

CaptainCaveman · 29/12/2007 16:47

When do you book in Pinguin? Mine's not til 16th Jan so 2.5 weeks yet, although tbh that will prob fly by. Got a really busy couple of weeks coming up -
going to stay with friends for new years eve, off weds, working thurs, off to pil's on friday for the weekend, then got a full week at work so before I know it the next fortnight has gone!

Bought myself the fluffiest, cosiest dressing gown in per una today....hmmmm, can't wait to get my pjs on - think I might last until 7pm......

Joo1es · 29/12/2007 19:27

Hi, Can I join? I am about 6 weeks so very early days, my ds is only 8 months old, so a little scared. My due date around 23rd August. Just have a question, don't know if anyone has any advice. Had a tooth break when pregnant with ds, had temporary filling, went to dentist recently and need root filling and cap/crown. But have just noticed I have an abscess. What do I do? don't want to risk little one at all, great timing being new year and all. Sorry to join with questions but would love some advice as quite worried. Thanks

Buddhababe · 29/12/2007 21:05

Hi all

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Hello to all the new comers too. There are so many of us now it is hard to keep up!

Felt nauseous a couple of days over the Christmas. I have lost my appetite big time, any one else like this? Warthog, I am also wrecked but i am also running after a 14 month aswell so there is little rest for me I can tell you!

I have yet to ring and sort out my scan. Its been hard getting things done what with Christmas and travelling.

Ok signing out now, Have a very Happy NEw Year Folks!

TwilightSurfer · 30/12/2007 00:54

Joo1es, welcome and just phone the dentist. I had my bi-annual cleaning two weeks ago and discussed the "what-if's" regarding a root canal that I've postoned for a while. I'm not having trouble with the tooth today but the crown is ready to be replaced and when that happens a root canal will be included in the process as the nerves are dying off. If I want I can elect to have the procedure while pregnant. Dentistry is much more advanced these days and is far less harmful to you and even your unborn. So don't worry but don't let infection cause you pain needlessly. [I should state for the record since you're new...I'm in the US but UK dentistry shouldn't be too different.]

I've been reading posts daily but haven't found time to type until this evening. I've been playing catch up from my days of death this week. I'm not longer puking or running to the toilet for another reason. I even felt excellent yesterday evening and most of today. BUT...oh I hate BUTS...but my constipation is returning and that's what I think kicked off my three days of deathly puking and . Officially I think I'd be diagnosed with IBS (irratible bowl syndrome) but not sure. Anybody else dealing with similar issues?? I've been trying to drink loads of water and eat good sources of fiber but it's just not working as well as it needs too. Being tired and sleeping more isn't helping either I'm sure. If things don't improve I'll phone my doc first thing after new years, of course.

My doctor's visit on 07Jan sounds a bit like your booking in appointment...bloods, scans, and pre-planning discussions. I'm anxious as I want to see my little one's heart beating.

Will do better keeping up with messages now that I'm back on my feet, LITERALLY.

Night.

PoinsettiaBouquets · 30/12/2007 09:42

TS - melt good dark chocolate and dip prunes in. Chill and eat like posh chocolates. Drink loads of fruit juice. Eating dried fruit snacks will help with the nausea too by keeping blood sugar levels up.
I wasn't sick at all yesterday and I think I got a craving! Went rampaging through the cupboards with an urge to cook rice and found none so had to send DH out for egg fired rice from the Chinese. Still only nauseous so far today - either my subliminal programming is working or the vomiting was left over from the virus.

pinguin · 30/12/2007 12:51

Hi captaincaveman, I don't have my booking in appointment through yet, my 12 weeks is end of Jan so hoping it will come soon. So you trained at the QE2 - what do you do?

Hey Joo1es, I don't have any experience of dentistry while pregnant but guess it would be anyway worth to discuss with the dentist - evan if they don't do the full work they might be able to pevent it getting worse? Also you do know that you can get (some) free dental care and also free prescriptions when you're pregnant, you need to go to the doctor and get the pregnancy confirmed and then they give you a form to fill out and you get a certificate (eventually, still waiting on mine)?

MollieMooma · 30/12/2007 13:58

Hey gang, had another two bleeds since my one Christmas evening, booked in with EP unit for an internal scan on Thursday morning, have to say I'm more than a little worried now.
Glad to hear that some of the MS is subsiding for you all.
Welcome to the newbies

LadyOfWaffle · 30/12/2007 14:05

Just a very brief popping my head round the door as I haven't been able to face the PC for a few days. I saw the MW finally who booked me in for a scan on the 3rd Jan, but I have to sort out my own blood tests? I have two plastic blood bags and no idea what to do! I know one has to be done alongside my 12 week scan, but, as I don't know my dates I can't do it until I have the 3rd Jan scan. Usually I think the MW does them (she did last time) but she didn't because it was Christmas eve (??!?). Oh well. The sickness is getting me really down, I haven't eaten hardly anything for days just soup twice and the odd roll. I wish I knew my dates so I could know when it'll end!

Molliemooma {{hugs}}
