OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Dundee-try not to worry too much, as the others have said if they were really worried you'd be in hospital. If it helps at all my dd was on the 25th% for weight when born but her head was only on the 2nd. Aso when i had my last growth scan for this LO the sonographer said that at this stage they tend to grow in fits and starts so one week the head will grow, the next the tummy etc-thats why the scans can't be completely accurate. Big hugs to you xx

Congrats to beachbunni!

Is anyone else feeling sad that the end is in sight? Poeple keep saying to me that I must be waiting for it all to be over but it doesn't feel time yet! Think partly cos still haven't got to the massive bump stage and also cos dh is insistent this will be the last LO and I just want to make the most of my pregnancy. Feel quite upset that I may never be pregnant again!

insywinsyspider · 18/11/2007 19:34

dundee - can't add anything to what everyone has written already but thinking of all 3 of you and hope Wednesday comes round quick - do you have anything planned for the next few days to keep busy?

bunni - congratulations on your ds - hope you can take him home soon, what did you call him? (I'm looking for inspiration did a complete 180 on names today and like Toby for a boy but having a nightmare for middle names - anyone have any christmas/winter ideas??)

loucee - I'll feel so so much better once LO room is done, we're getting there just very slowly! Dh is building a desk for computer in living room as we speak and I have day off with ds at childminders tomorrow and can't decide which jobs to do first! the list seems endless....

hello everyone else x

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 18/11/2007 19:35

Well builder here all weekend and a final push being made by everyone this week to get downstairs finished and kitchen in.Just hope I can hang on and I am not pushing too but getting twinges and baby dropped a little!!

Due in 13 days so as near to the day as much as I want this over, would be ideal....

insywinsyspider · 18/11/2007 19:38

clairey - I'm def in the camp that can't wait to have baby here, well not until everything is ready, not sure if this is our last or not (I'm to say if its another ds I will have have number 3...) but I have got one of those bump cast kits, cheesy but I'd love to have a reminder of my bump I've loved it but ready to have baby now x

jabberwocky · 18/11/2007 19:38

I just wanted to say hi. Seeing this thread reminded me of our due in Dec thread last year. Now we are all getting ready for first birthdays! My ds2 was due on December 15th but decided to arrive on November 22nd instead

Good luck to all of you and your little ones

loucee · 18/11/2007 20:01

mellymooks - thanks, {hugs} - if you do them!
Had some dinner now and just about to go for a lovely bath.

Clairey - my bump is massive and my sides feel like they can't stretch anymore. I know what you mean though, I'm 36 wks tomorrow and it does feel incredibly close. I am lucky that DH is very open to how many children we might have but inevitably there will be a time when it's my last (who knows it could be this baby without my knowing) and I know that I will feel sad too. Make sure you really enjoy these last few weeks of your pregnancy so you have very fond memories.

Insy - glad you're making progress with things needing to get done. I'm the same, seem to be forever making lists of everything that I would like to have done before baby is here but as soon as those lists are all ticked off I have new lists!
I've got all the babies bits now though so the washing and sorting out has finished - its more a case of house stuff now and trying to enjoy the last few weeks of having freedom to go and do most things unlike when little one has arrived and I'll be needing to be close by for the feeding etc and utterly exhausted!

Nbg · 18/11/2007 20:05

Evening all.

Could this be our last thread?

Well had another antenatal appt with MW today.
Baby is 2/5 engaged but she said its most likely that baby will be late

mellymooks · 18/11/2007 20:11

I do do hugs Loucee!! - thank you really feel I need them today as no sleep has made me ridiculously tearful! Nice bath sounds like a good plan think I will do the same in a while.

I am 37 weeks now and just feel so ready for this baby to arrive I really hope I'm not late, I know it's more common to with the first but I honestly think i will go a bit stir crazy if it happens that way....I will miss my bump though and still have major difficulty equating bump to actual baby!

insywinsyspider · 18/11/2007 20:19

Nbg - if you are a little late you'll be a true dec baby how late/early were you with ds and dd? I've been 2/5 for 2 weeks (now 36 wks) I reckon it'll hang around for a bit - put my mum in a mind spin about being my birth partner when dh is away next week she's hoping I don't go into labour I can tell

Nbg · 18/11/2007 20:21

DD was 4 days late and ds was 10 days.

No more late babies please!!!!

cazzybabs · 18/11/2007 20:24

NBG - my midwife thinks I will be early.... can we swop?

insywinsyspider · 18/11/2007 20:28

she prob doesn't have a clue and is just saying it because of your last 2 - I hate the way m/w say everything with absolute conviction and then you realise its all guess work! fingers crossed its not another 10 day wait for you!

Bouncingturtle · 18/11/2007 20:31

Nah I reckon will need another one, espcially as we all chat so much!
Wizzka about your friend, must be hard not knowing what to do for her, especially when she is so far away.

Nbg · 18/11/2007 21:25

I'll swop Cazzy, no problem

It was a different MW. I doubt my normal one would have said that to me!

Best get the birthing ball out and start sniffing me clary sage properly!

Ambi · 18/11/2007 21:42

Currently 94.29% through pregnancy, that sounds really nice now. (can you tell I work in accounts!), 16 days left til DD, Redone my hosp. bag, and managed to squeeze in dressing gown now. Charging camera & ipod to pack, all I need to pack when leaving is mobile & snacks. Need to sort out some change though, want £10 in coins for parking/ phone /tv thingy, knowing DH he won?t have enough on him! Just spec?d up my birth wish list after plagiarising from our last thread.

Took a bump photo today (on profile), I didn?t think it was that big, but now side on it?s pretty large & high, but not too bad for 38 weeks I guess ? what do you think?

Am fed up today, think it?s boredom setting in, really want my baby here now.

Ambi · 18/11/2007 21:49

mmmmmm nearly finished off batch of shortbread biscuits I made today....

loucee · 18/11/2007 21:58

Ambi - Great bump pic, I think it's a nice size but wouldn't say you're massive. Funny how our bumps are all different shapes and sizes, I look a lot further out the front to you but I'm 36wks. Maybe it's because it's my 2nd baby?
Shortbread sounds nice, I'm trying to pretend we don't have Thorntons chocs in the cupboard! (bought for Christmas!).

Just ordered some wine online - £15 off a £50 order if anyone uses Tesco wines. They've got 25% off wines as well so you can get some great bargains in for the festive season!

Off for an early night x

mememummy · 18/11/2007 23:39

hi people, torts egg not viable, but it was her first, have had major nesting instincts today, and its snowing as we speak, babys head fels like its gettin lower (got up 6 times in the night for a wee!!!) mil cooked sunday roast for us today and i ate loads, am about to start the pineapple and raspberry leaf tea.

my friend also said castor oil was good but not sure whether to swollow it or insert

going to get carpet for lo room tommorrow i cant wait it will be finished then, hope ur all ok

Housemum · 19/11/2007 00:12

Ambi - like the pic - funnily enough I was just about to suggest to ClaireyCH that she takes some pics of the bump for fond memories! I got DH to take a couple of me last night before we went out.

I don't feel prepared yet for this baby, but don't feel sad that the end is in sight - I really thought I would, but all along I've known this would be our last (joint decision, I didn't want to have any more and nor does DH). With DD2 we weren't sure we'd ever be ready to or would afford another, and had always said we only wanted 2 but I couldn't part with anything as in the back of my mind I wanted to be prepared "just in case". This time, I'm thinking of how my life will be as we go through all the baby stages and am mentally drawing a line under each - thinking that this time next year I'll be selling off car seat/Moses basket/bouncy chair/baby gym etc, and I will be working on my wardrobe as I no longer will be thinking "but what if I get pregnant?"

I'll stick a bump pic on my profile while I think about it.

Nighty night

buzzybee · 19/11/2007 07:47

Cool pic housemum - am loving these bumps! Have just uploaded one of me. Lovely warm day here today hence sundress (had to smile at Meme's mention of snow!!)

Am getting nervous again about scan again on Thur even tho I know its now regarded as routine for me and they prob won't know/see anything more before LO is born.

Am not looking forward to hospital birth. Think its because I'm a bit worried seeing other Mums in happy couples etc will make me sad while l'il old me is in there with just the MW for company! Not that I want a birth partner just for the sake of it if you get my drift but just think it would have been nicer all round to have her at home as I'd originally planned.

I like your thinking about getting rid of stuff in a year Housemum. Funny but I hung on to a lot of stuff even after the H and I split when I was 34 as always hoped I'd have another and now I will finally be able to move of from that which feels lovely. Thanks for that thought

BunnyBaby · 19/11/2007 07:50

Anna - that is awful news. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please take care xxxxx

Amani · 19/11/2007 08:24

Morning all,

My my ladies you have been chatty over the weekend - must admit sometimes my weekends are so hectic with family etc that I don't get a chance to go on.

Well done Wizzska on the new thread.

Memo - let us know if thing happens - how exciting about the show!

Congrtualtions Beachbunni! - hope your LO is ok and let us know how it's going

Dundee - Sorry to hear your news, but don't jump to any conclusions until you see the consultants. sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts.

Beanstermummy - I've been getting these strange rashes all over my arms and legs. Got tested for bile salts 3 weeks ago which came back ok - but am worried as over the weekend it's come with a vegence, all over arms and legs and really itchy.

Ambi and housemum - nice bump pictures

Buzzy - will you have any friends or family in hospital with you instead?

Nothing much to report - had a really rubbish night sleep night - been awake since 2am and when i did fall asleep it felt like my alarm went off after five minutes . Think I'm going to be mega grumpy today.

Also having stomach issues again (no Greggs for me this lunch time....) - all I've had is a bowl of Frosties and a biscuit since Sat lunch time. Everything else doesn't seem to settle in my stomach....

34+1 today....cab't wait to have this baby now....

Bouncingturtle · 19/11/2007 08:25

Hey Buzzybee at thought of you on your own - but don't forget, we will all be there with you in spirit!
I'll get Dh to find me a bump pic and upload it. Cool thing about the antenatal classes I went to at the weekend, was seeing all the bumps, and not a perfectly round beach ball amongst any of us

buzzybee · 19/11/2007 08:37

BT - I am just in the process of putting together a list of people I want to be informed when LO is born. Am expecting my Mum to be first on the scene so to speak and then to spread the word. I certainly don't expect to be Nigel No Visitors but I won't have anyone there apart from the MW during the actual birth IYSWIM. My mum did offer but I know she did that because she felt she had to and TBH we don't really have that sort of relationship! In fact, I can't think of anyone I'd really want to be there (another friend did offer but I just didn't feel right about it). So long as I have the MW I've had throughout there it should be OK.

buzzybee · 19/11/2007 08:39

Sorry that was in answer to Amani's question. But thanks BT as well - I know you all will be and that makes me happy!
