Would be more at ease with another ds but a dd would be nice too

constipation, OMG! Don't remember it this bad last time round. The other day I sat on the loo while ds was in the bath. He said "Mummy do poo?" to which dp replied "No, I can assure you she won't." And then laughed. Thanks for the support boys! DP is also enjoying ordering curries regularly as he thinks it'll get me moving!

I've also got into a bit of a cycle of having several days of nothing, and then massive tummy cramps, dashing to the loo and having diarrhoea. About once a week.

I've ordered Gaviston for the old heartburn which I've heard we are allowed to take, and I notice it also has a laxative effect! Hopefully that'll get things going!

You're not lowering the tone, this is what this kind of thread is for (people who can talk about constipation without getting squeamish or laughing about it!

Thanx fisil I'm trying to point out to ds that mummy go poo IN TOILET as a way of introducing him to the concept - as he knows full well the blue hard plastic thingy we brought home to sit him on is a hat thats a bit too big LOL

lol northstar - so the once or twice throughout the week when you finally manage it, it has become a family event!

fisil · 20/11/2004 13:58

yes we have too, myermay. Well, sleet.

Curry isn't very successful for me. Shifts something, but still leaves me uncomfortable.

logic · 20/11/2004 14:26

it is sleeting here too. It's cold and nasty and not conducive to a shopping trip. We've bought a new sterilizer for the baby stuff because the old one is on it's last legs and some new bottles and teats anyway.

cab · 20/11/2004 14:36

Sens me some snow up here!! dd is desperate for it.
On the constipation front I've found no miracle cures. Don't go for a week and then - should I say this - block the toilet .
On girls and boys
Dd no 2 due on 5 May, conception month August, when I was much younger - 40.
DD no 1 born 8 August, conceived December, when I was 37.

cab · 20/11/2004 14:37

sens = send!
Do you think we should start a new thread folks?

northstar · 20/11/2004 16:51

I would say yes but my computer wont let me add a message - oh here goes - it lost the connection and had to start again last time i tried to add a message (it probably belongs in a home for old and bewildered computers somewhere beside the sea)!

So i'll keep a look out for part 3 coming soon.

Myermay it was accurate on your ds and it predicts your having another boy.

Cab it was wrong on your first dd but is correct on your second

I didn't find it on the net myermay, it was one of the features in this issues mother & baby magazine.

fisil · 20/11/2004 20:36

I got a bit confused. When they say "conceived" does that mean the actual day that you & dp did the deed, or does it mean a couple of days later when sperm & egg meet, or does it mean two weeks earlier when lmp happened?

logic · 20/11/2004 21:57

myermay, I just did a google search on "chinese gender test" to find a site.

brighteyes, I have subscribed to Pregnancy and Birth magazine because I still find stuff in there that I didn't know. I really recommend that you and the other girls having first babies sign up for the NHS antenatal classes soon though. They get full quite quickly I think! We went out for an antenatal pre-Christmas meal last night which was great fun How are you feeling now?

northstar · 21/11/2004 13:20

Please can we start a new thread it's killing me not to be able to add a message - it only works one time in ten at the moment! I started this one so it's someone elses turn

Hi logic, I'm a new member. I've been told by my midwife that I can't start the group classes till about 35 weeks. Do you know of any website where I can find info on classes that start before 35 weeks?

logICICLE · 02/12/2004 13:22

hi nqozi, we have actually all moved to a new thread: here
Please join us!
Welcome to the group too. I think our NHS classes started about that sort of time. The NCT ones are earlier I think....how many weeks are you?
