Looking at a July 08 Baby - Just got my BFP. Anyone care to join me?

Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

SK- I'm not telling anyone until Christmas..except of course my mom who was on the phone when I tested and I screamed. In retrospect I should have said I saw a spider, but oh well. The people that I did tell were the ones who were by my side with the most support when I had my mc so maybe that puts things into perspective.

As far as drinking, I've been getting away with "a bit delicate from last night" on the 2ww but can't use that forever.

Do we get an 8 week scan out here now? I'm so happy for you by the way. I am so looking forward to Christmas more than anything.

I found that to, its mostly other people you protect by not saying. It creates alot of awkward moments if you say too early

mcchesers - no I don't know what you get every hospital is different but my EPU told me to phone when I was 6-7 weeks and book myself in for a scan direct as I had a previous mc, I would phone yours and see what they say?

Doesn't the alcohol get burned off or something expat? I don't know don't like Christmas cake give me a big wedge of something gooey and chocolatey completely engulfed in cream and I'm happy.

Have just eaten two mini flakes and a mini caramel from DD1's Halloween haul (well too many sweets are bad for her) can't even blame it on the bump yet

On the early scan front, my GP gave me a letter of referral and said I have to go in in person and then they'll book me for a scan the following week. He said I should try to wait as long as possible before going.

(I had a missed m/c last time - found out at 12 wk scan that my baby had died at 8wks so this is a 'reassurance' scan.)

I'm with all of you worrywarts by the way. When I don't have symptoms, I get paranoid. Then the nausea comes back and I'm relieved!

Its amazing how paranoid you get. I'm imagining ectopic symptoms alreadyalthough I know I don't haveany except a slight twingein my pelvis. Its ridiculous.

I am a big fan of the Reassurance scans as well

Hi, just found out I'm pregnant for the third time, EDD 5th July, already have 2dds aged 4.6 and 2. It feels very unreal as we only just decided less than a month ago to ttc again. Had a negative test last week and kept thinking that my period must be late because I'd just come off the pill and not got back into a normal cycle yet. My boobs have been feeling sore for the last 2 days though and I got a BFP immediately this afternoon. Feeling a bit worried how I am going to cope with getting through the pregnancy with 2 dds to look after, let alone coping with 3 children in 8 months' time!

Congratulations Ponto

Came on a week ago to say I might be joining you and it's taken me a while to get back but YEP! I'm in! Really unsure about dates (LMP was 4th Sept but was also first and only period since July 2005) - had a very faint positive test on 22nd Oct, confirmation from doc on 31st Oct. Hoping the EDD will be as late as possible because my little sister's getting married on June 14th. What do you reckon's the latest I can hope for with a positive on the 22nd?

Oh - and I know I'm clutching at straws here but when I used the same type of test with my first pregnancy, it was a strong dark line at 4 weeks and 4 days.

beanbearer - one suggestion would be to tell your GP you aren't too sure of your dates then you will be sent for an early scan to date the pregnancy, with 4th September your EDD will be sometime in June around the 10th of June so you are already 8 weeks gone. But only 1% of babies are born on their due dates it's more of an estimate that anything you could anytime 2 weeks either side of that (or earlier) sorry not what you want to hear.

hi can i join? just got BFP! although tested early Af not due to tomorrow. Feel like AF could arrive any minute but heard this is normal? Have to admit to telling a very close and dear friend, as wanted advice on AF type feelings. According to on line calculator EDD 13th July ish (i think)?
