Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

How is your bleeding now?

sweetkitty · 02/11/2007 07:41

Morning all well bobbs feel a bit different so thats a good sign.

Am feeling horrendous though, DD1 has been up since midnight being sick, had her in with us so no sleep as she was up every hour (she was really scared as this is only the 3rd time she has been sick ever) got up with DD2 left DD1 sleeping and DD2 has been sick all over me and the kitchen.

Looks like I'm in for a great day!

minkus - hope the bleeding has stopped x

Minkus · 02/11/2007 08:15

Morning all thankyou for asking how it's going x

Yes the bleeding has stopped now, it was only very briefly yesterday really so fingers crossed everything is still "intact"

I have convinced myself that as there were two separate incidences of spotting that they must have been two implantation bleeds and I am now having twins. Oh the things a womans mind does if left to its own devices...

Had hyperemesis with ds and was in hospital on a drip a lot then, little bit scared about this time round and having a 3 yr old to cope with... I wonder what tomorrow's "worry for the day" will be

has your bleeding stayed away ppp?

paulaplumpbottom · 02/11/2007 08:38

Had a couple more spots of blood last night but there is nothing this morning.I'm just going to take it easy and hope it doesn't come back. Its hard to relax all the time when you are running around after a 4 year old though.

Feeling a bit queasy this morning, nothing I can't manage. Hope everyone else is feeling better

Minkus · 02/11/2007 08:51

All my fingers are crossed PPP. I agree, I don't think "taking it" easy is the same when your other small children are involved

Hope you have a nice gentle day playing nice gentle games with your little one.

I am off to the Dr's now- phoned for an apopintment with midwife (few weeks away I'm sure) but I have to see the Dr. first.

Have a good day everyone. x

Minkus · 02/11/2007 08:52

Er that shuld have been "taking it easy" in quotation marks- "taking it" just looks rude soz

isaidno · 02/11/2007 09:26

Expat - try Redbush tea - you can have milk in it like a normal cuppa but it is naturally caffeine free and I think it tastes great!

pigleychez · 02/11/2007 09:30

Hi everyone, Hope your all well.

I rang my docotrs yesterday to see what happens now .ie when to come in. My sister was told not until 6 weeks.
The receptionist told me to ring this morning 8.30 for an appointment.

This morning i dont start work till 10.15 so though i could try and fit one in this morning or get an afternoon appointment for tuesday, when I can finish work early.

I rang the surgery at 8.30 and was on hold for about 20 Minutes! When I got through i was told they dont have anything left for today.
I asked to book for tuesday but was told they dont book in advance id have to ring in the morning!
Bit like a lottery really!

Think now im going to have to tell my boss (earlier than i wanted!) and ask that if i ring on Monday morning and get an appointment that i can just nip out for 30 mins.

It would of been much easier if they let me book for tuesday as then it would save the whole backlog of call in the mornings .

ARRGGHH - please excuse my little rant!

Although this is my first baby, i know excatly what you mean about being hard to relax with little ones about. Im a supervisor at a local nursery school, so constantly on the go. By lunchtime im ready for a nap!

Around here we have to book an appointment with the GP who goes "congratulations, take some folic acid, don't smoke, here's your due date and we'll book you in with the MWs" waste of GPs time IMHO. We can get advance appointments for afternoons here about a weeks wait so not too bad.

I am booking myself in for a scan at 8 weeks and will probably go see GP after that.

Taking it easy with a 3yo and 21mo no chance especially today with sickness.

Quidproquo · 02/11/2007 09:43

sweetkitty - is that a private scan?

I am having big time cramps! it is scaring me but trying to remain calm ...dh says i always get them - tests seem to be getting darker

cbd came up in 30 seconds last night...

i do not like this stage!

sweetkitty · 02/11/2007 09:46

QPQ - well I would say congratulations you are definitely pregnant I so agree every little twinge has you worried.

No NHS scan EPU told me to self refer at 6-7 weeks but I'm waiting until 8 as they will be able to see more. I had a mc in August and they said next time I'm pregnant just to phone up and get an appointment.

So am I allowed to ask how many you have already? Am desperate to know how you are now?

Quidproquo · 02/11/2007 09:50

hmm cant say sweet !!! do you have CAT?

I am such a worrier ...poor dh!

need to be more philosophical que sera sera and all that!

sweetkitty · 02/11/2007 10:21

oh I'm really intrigued now (SK is really impatient and hates not knowing anything)

don't have CAT but my email is
slrobertson002 at hotmail dot com

am also on facebook

Choccie75 · 02/11/2007 11:49

Hi everyone, was up twice in the night with very painful cramping, it didn't last long and seemed to go away when i went to the toilet

Had the same just before AF due and a little beginning of the week. Has anyone else had this, i know cramping is normal but it woke me up as it was very painful! No bleeding though

Choccie75 · 02/11/2007 11:57

QPQ - i'm probably getting the same as you! My DH told me not to worry saying what will be will be, but i can't help feeling worried.

He is right though! We will be fine Our little ones are just bedding in!!

paulaplumpbottom · 02/11/2007 12:17

I have had cramps with all of my pregnancys. Its normal. I mostly get them in my thighs

pamirka · 02/11/2007 12:19

Morning!
Don't think I got added to the list so here I am:

JoOs EDD TBC (First Baby)

baby3 EDD 2 July (DD aged 8 and DS aged 5.5)
unfitmummuy EDD 2 July (DD aged 2.7)
mrsclairet EDD 3 July (First baby)
Minkus EDD 4July (DS aged 2.10)
MrsMadMand EDD 5th July (1DD aged 1.3)
Choccie EDD 7th July (First Baby)
Paulaplumpbottom EDD 8th July (1dd age 4)
Thepuddingchef EDD 9th July (1ds age 18mths)
Sweetkitty EDD 9th July (DD1 3.3y, DD2 1.9y)
Pigleychez EDD 12th July (First Baby)
Pamirka EDD TBC (DD1 aged 1.7)

Still no date so JoOs, I'm with you there! But we have a dating scan next weekend and I can't wait. I'm having minor nausea and major tiredness at the moment but not showing yet. Haven't told anyone apart from DH and you lovely people

paulaplumpbottom · 02/11/2007 12:24

Isn't it lovely to have people to discuss it with? My Dh is lovely but men only get excited about the birth.

pamirka · 02/11/2007 12:27

Yes !

My DH can't see a bump yet (there isn't one) and so it doesn't feel as real to him... Either that or he got so fed up with me excusing myself from chores last time round by saying "But I'm pregnant!..." that he's avoiding discussing it!

When did you or when are you all planning to tell mums, dads, rellies, etc?

paulaplumpbottom · 02/11/2007 12:32

Because I have had so many miscarriages I am definatly waiting till 12 weeks which will probably be around Christmas

JoOs · 02/11/2007 12:40

Hi Parmika!

Hopefully next I will get my EDD too. And I just couldn't keep this good news for myself, so I have already told our family and some friends.

sweetkitty · 02/11/2007 12:47

I don't know when to tell people, we have always told straight away and thought not telling isn't going to stop something happening. After teh mc it was hard when people were coming up to me at toddlers saying "I believe congrats is in order and I was like erm no" made them feel terrible

Will probably wait until after the 8 week scan and tell at Christmas although I have a "wine and whinge" party next Friday with a few friends, don't know how I am going to get away with no wine, they all know I'm ttc so it will be obvious.
