Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

pigleychez - you make me laugh with your "bump" I remember dying to have a bump with no1 and thought everyone would know and I would just look different. Don't worry honey you will have a bump soon enough. All you first timers will still have lovely taut stomach muscles anyway.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2007 20:56

well, i got a surprise BFP a couple of days ago.

were not ttc!

but i'm now a week late, too.

supposedly due 2 july 2008 - but as the last two were born at 38 weeks so here's hoping!

expatinscotland · 31/10/2007 20:56

oh, i have two daughters - ages 4 and 1.

spookykitty · 31/10/2007 21:04

hey expat at being on my antenatal thread

paulaplumpbottom · 31/10/2007 22:59

Are you kidding? As randy as she is I'm suprised she isn't on them more often.

Had a bit of spotting which is worrying. I'm hoping that its nothing.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2007 23:03

paula, i spotted with both girls. hoping yours goes away soon!

w/DD2, it was right as i should have been due the second period i missed.

it's so frightening, i know.

keeping fingers crossed for you!

no, we weren't TTC. i had an appointment with a consultant about sterilisation .

libralady · 01/11/2007 06:21

Morning all, Have just caught up with the thread. Welcome to SK & Choccie and anyone else I've missed. Was sooooooooo shattered last night I went to sleep on the sofa before 7pm. DH didn't bother to wake me and I managed to sleep until 2.20am when I woke up needing a pee (sorry if TMI). Moved over to the bigger sofa and settle down and went back to sleep until 5.48. Actually feel refreshed and not too knackered at the moment. Must make it up to bed tonight otherwise DH will think he's been deserted. Also must stay awake tonight as Tescos are delivering the shopping between 7pm and 9pm which is very kind of them as I can't face trudging around the supermarket at the moment. We've got a bonfire party here on Saturday night so didn't want to be lugging bottles of pop and cans of beer in and out of the shopping trolley. Making a big sausage casserole to eat for about 10 of us. Hope my nausea doesn't rear it's ugley head in front of M&D and PIL as they don't know yet. I've only told my VBF (and she's told her DH) and they'll be there but they've been sworn to secrecy. Oh and of course DH knows.

Knew I'd missed others, nice to meet you expatinscotland. Wow what a shock to discover you are pg when youn were going to be going for sterilisation. How do you feel about it? Recently all we've heard on MN is the trouble people are having ttc and I think we lose the focus that for others it comes as a complete shock and happens just naturally without even trying.

Morning fellow newly pregnant ladies. I'm officially 4 weeks pregnant today 4 down 36 to go (being optimistic). Since I peed on the CBD yesterday I swear my body has decided to go into symptom overload, feel nauseous, think boobs have grown and stomach has swollen. I wonder if you don't find out your pregnant until 12 weeks do you get ms?

Usually mine starts about 6 weeks not actually sick but go off all food and feel sick all the time.

baby3 · 01/11/2007 08:25

Welcome to everyone that's joined us recently! I am only 5.5 weeks but the last few days my morning nausea is quite bad. With the others it started at about 5.5 weeks but went straight into full blown hyperemesis that lasted 8 weeks and all i could keep down was ice lolly's, even water came straight back up.... I'm quite nervous about it. I have also had friends asking me if i'm pregnant as my stomach has swollen , although i have actually lost a few pounds in the last couple of weeks. Can't get any of my trousers done up. I'm supposed to be going out with work colleagues tonight and apart from wondering how i'm going to keep my eyes open past 9pm and what i'm going to wear, i don't know how i'm going to get away without drinking and noone noticing (as I always drink!!!!) also spotty, yuk!!!!!!! Roll on 10 weeks time....

paulaplumpbottom · 01/11/2007 10:10

Well I haven't had any more bleeding. With my other miscarriages once the bleeding started it didn't stop so I am feeling more confidant.

Was at a fireworks display last night and my SIL turned to me and asked when I was due. She wouldn't say what gave it away.

Hope everyone is feeling well this morning

Thepuddingchef · 01/11/2007 11:28

Morning everyone,
feeling less sick today.....bit tired, generally good though.
Glad your bleeding has subsided PPB...it's always so worrying these first few weeks, especially if there has been past problems.

isaidno · 01/11/2007 12:35

I'm starting to feel a bit fat - no bump but my belly seems to be more jellylike. I put on my size 8 jeans today, but I can envisage by the time they come out of the wash next week they will be uncomfortable. This is a bit annoying because I only bought them a fortnight ago because my size 10's were too big!!

I fell asleep on the sofa yesterday - at 1pm!

Welcome everybody new!

mrsclairet · 01/11/2007 12:52

Hi, I am definitely getting a bump and my husband agrees, humph! I am trying to cover it with the kind of tops that sort of float out around the middle. Also, my nan knows but no-one apparently told her which is weird. My husband went round to visit the other day and she just started saying so when's the baby due? I'm not sure if she was just trying it on, my husband denied all knowledge of a baby but apparently she didn't believe him. I can't believe I'm only 5+1, time seems to be going SO slowly!!

paulaplumpbottom · 01/11/2007 14:57

Don't start getting impatient yet. July is quite a ways away

expatinscotland · 01/11/2007 15:24

i miss endless cups of tea!

wwaaaaaaaaa.

i just made myself a cuppa, but i've already had a cup of brewed coffee in the morning and tea at lunch, so i know i shouldn't have it.

damn.

paulaplumpbottom · 01/11/2007 16:03

As long as you keep consumption low I don't think its a big deal

JoOs · 01/11/2007 18:30

Hi everyone!! Yesterday was my first day feeling sick and the first I just couldn't keep myself awake. I just slept on the couch around 8pm, wake up at around 10 to eat something and went to bed. The funny thing is that I feel so tired today that i just want to go back to sleep again...

Minkus · 01/11/2007 19:10

Hi everyone

Am feeling a bit vulnerable, help! Been spotting

Had spotting with my first baby, ds now 2.10, at about 5wks and 8 weeks.

AF was due last fri (or today depending on whether it's my lmp date or when I actually think I ovulated that you calulate my period due date from), bfp on Monday, but light pink spotting on Tuesday (very minimal) and more today , again only happened once when I went to the loo but it was quite red. Not thick red like a period, still quite watery but def red not pink. If you see what I mean.

Tummy feels like I'm about to come on, but it did with ds too.

Know there's not much I can do if this one doesn't stick but wanted to know if anyone had words of wisdom? xxxxxxx

Verso · 01/11/2007 21:07

Minkus, if it's any consolation I had spotting at 8wks with my DD (now 2 and a half) and everything was fine. It was red blood - not very much - but there. I ended up going to the early pg unit and they scanned me and we saw the heartbeat.

Tummy cramps like AF is due are also normal. I think you're probably having an implantation bleed. If it gets worse though I would phone NHS Direct or your out-of-hours GP just to get some 'official' reassurance.

HTH

sweetkitty · 01/11/2007 21:14

evening all

minkus - don't know really what to suggest, I too had a bad bleed with bright red blood with DD1 at 9 and 10 weeks and she was fine. Had some brown old blood at 8 weeks with another pregnancy and it led to a mc. It's also too early for a scan to know for sure. Would go see EPU/GP see what they suggest, probably a scan about 6-7 weeks.

paula - hope your spotting is ok too

expatinscotland · 01/11/2007 21:22

minkus i also had spotting (pink and then red) with DD2 at around 8 weeks, right when the second missed period would have been due.

paulaplumpbottom · 01/11/2007 21:28

I have started spotting again. Its not muc but there, its mostly pink but there has been a bit of red. Minkus, I'm taking it as a sign that I need to put my feet up. Maybe its just our bodies telling us to take it easy

timmyinatizzy · 01/11/2007 21:31

Sorry to gatecrash I'm from the due in March 08 thread. Congrats to Sweetkitty on your BFP, hope this one sticks for you

expatinscotland · 01/11/2007 21:33

it is, paula!

when i spotted with both girls the GP signed me off and i just took it easy.

hope it eases off for you soon.
