Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

Sorry to interrupt ladies but it's that time of the month again! Are any of you in Merseyside and thinking about breastfeeding? Look here for details of an antenatal breastfeeding workshop this Thursday, especially for pg ladies. It's not a "sales pitch"; no one is going to try and "talk you into it"; it's more of a "how to" so that if you do go down the bf route, you'll be prepared once you've given birth.

And there's free biscuits. And tea. And coffee.

sweetkitty · 25/11/2007 22:04

Evening all am utterly shattered today, DD1 woke at 5am and that was her up, had a horrendous temperature but had Calprofen which brought it down and turned her into her normal self again (6am Mummy where does Jack Frost live, in a cave far away, does he have a television, yes, and a toilet, yes, what colour is his bedroom, I don't know maybe blue!!!!!!) Luckily when DP and DD got up at 7.30am I went back to bed until gone 9am but I was still shattered. DD1 recovered fully though.

ladylush - wow you have been through it haven't you? Poor DS and all of you. Hope he is on the mend soon x

twinkle - hello and congratulations x

EEC · 26/11/2007 08:21

Morning. Feeling very lucky as only slight occasional nausea, but tiredness much worse than last 2 times. Maybe cause I'm older. Am going to bed same time as children each night. DH being great, but am sure he doesn't understand. Have decided not to tell DS and DD til after Scans etc, but it is pretty tricky hiding it from them.

Libralady - poor you. I hope DS mends fast.

Coolkat - I too am feeling very
bloated and definitely my clothes are tight. Seems very early. I'm sure I'm not eating loads more - and it's certainly healthier food (well - mostly - the mars bar craving doesn't help I suppose)

Seem to be obsessing about pregnancy this time - I seem to think about nothing else. Am turning into very boring person. Good to be able to 'talk' to other people who understand as only DH knows at moment.

sfxmum · 26/11/2007 09:38

good morning all

will try and catch up later.

dh has been doing everything around here this weekend and I have been resting, definitely more nausea and tiredness but nothing unbearable.
have been finding it hard to sleep which is not really uncommon for me but is adding to the tiredness.

hope you are all well and poorly LOs are recovering and feeling

sfxmum · 26/11/2007 09:38

better

Breizhette · 26/11/2007 10:20

Morning,

Not a good night here with my DD crying from 2.00 to 4.30am last night and then awake and ready for the day at 6.30am.
We went to visit some relatives yesterday and I thought she would sleep in the car, and she didn't. So she was a complete mess and it even impacted her night. Great.
Now I am a mess. I wish I could take a nap during the day.

Minkus · 26/11/2007 11:18

Poor you Breizhette you've had a rotten time. Hopefully she'll conk out early tonight and you can go to bed at the same time?

I am still sick. Posted a few times on this thread when I first found out I was pg (now 8+3) but hyperemesis kicked in (as per last time) and I rapidly became a blithering sick bag. Was in hospital last week on a drip/drugs but feeling a bit less violently vomitous now!

Not back at work though. Need to stay v close to the loo!

sfxmum it's a pain when you can't sleep even though you want to isn't it! I was awake at 3, 4.30, 5.45 then 6.15 when ds woke up for the day. Yawn.

Have a good day everyone.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 26/11/2007 12:10

minkus!! i cant believe it kicks in so early - how on earth do you cope? hope you fell better today

paulaplumpbottom · 26/11/2007 12:13

Morning Girls. I'm actually feeling ok today. DH still requesting that I stay at home and take it easy though. Hope evryone else is ok.

Breizhette · 26/11/2007 12:41

Thanks Minkus. Looks like you had it worse! How long did it last during your previous pregnancy? I hope it goes away fast.
Paula, your DH sounds very caring. So does yours sfx!

sfxmum · 26/11/2007 12:48

just booked my early scan for the 6th so now will probably obsess about it till then.

one of the things I hate the most is just how emotional and weepier I get it is disturbing, I get moist eyes at the most inane movies/ news stories, pets

sorry about the disturbed nights, not easy. dd goes to bed after 8 and usually sleeps until 8am or so.

Breizhette dh is indeed quite lovely and a great father

MrsWednesday · 26/11/2007 13:12

Good luck with the scan sfxmum (and everyone else who has them coming up). I have only just booked an appointment to see the doctor - going on Wednesday. I'm hoping they might let me have an early scan given that I'm not sure of my dates and also because of my m/c history but I won't hold my breath.

Was there something strange happening in the night last night? My DS2 was also awake, from 2am until 4.30 for no particular reason. My and DH shared supervision duties but that missing sleep is not good when you're already feeling so exhausted!

Minkus, the sickness sounds absolutely dreadful, poor you!

Libralady, hope everyone in your family gets better quickly, in early pregancy everyone should be looking after you not the other way round!

Symptoms are very strange for me: have got a bad headache and tummy cramps and that's about it. With DS1 and DS2 I had agonisingly sore boobs so I'm stressing about that now...Arrrgh.

baby3 · 26/11/2007 13:19

hi all, I haven't posted much as I feel too ill. I'm 9weeks tomorrow and have severe nausea 24hours a day. I have to keep bowl next to me as any smell makes me heave. It is slightly better than the last 2 pregnancies though as I am keeping stuff down. i find it is just so depressing though and i don't want to go anywhere or see anyone or do anything. it got better at about 12 weeks with the last 2 although didn't completely go until 16 weeks. the worst bit is that the kids seem to manage to eat stuff with garlic in constantly and I can't then have them near me which makes them and me really upset. sorry to moan. on the other hand my DP is fantastic.... I couldn't ask for him to help more

AggiePanther · 26/11/2007 13:19

Hi,
Congratulations to you all
Can I join you - I'm due 13th July according to online calculators. Already have 2 girls -a 12 year old and a toddler who will be 2 in July so I'm going to have my hands full!
Am off to see the MW on weds- hoping she'll send me for an early scan as I miscarried at 6 weeks in July.
Got addicted to mumsnet when I was pregnant with DD2 but haven't had much chance to come on here recently.

EEC · 26/11/2007 13:26

Hi AggiePanther - congrats. Also due on 13th with DS 11 and DD 9. What is big age gap like? Am very excited but nervous too. Have you told your DDs yet? I also miscarried in the summer at 6 weeks so am reluctant to at this stage.

libralady · 26/11/2007 14:16

Hi all,
Just managed to catch up with what's been going on. Thanks for all your message sof support. DH has also got the virus so he's now on antibiotics, however he has gone away for the week with work so he has a medical kit in his suitcase. Have had to take some time off work with DS while he is getting back on his feet. Nearly had to rush him to the hospital last night as the rash flared up again and his lips swelled. He looked like a real trout! Anyway phoned the pediatric ward and they couldn't find anything to say we had open access and his file had gone down to discharges. Mentioned that the consultant said if we had any worries then to come back. Said they would get someone to call me back. That was 7.30 last night and I am still waiting!!!!! Good job it wasn't an emergency. Managed to calm DS down and put gloves on him to stop him from scratching himself to death. He went to sleep about 9pm and woke up at 7am this morning. He's supposed to go back to the hospital on Wednesday for a check up and someone was supposed to call me today to let me know what time, but yes, you guessed it, I'm still waiting for that phone call also.
DS has just gone down for a nap as this virus has really taken it out on him. Won't let him sleep for long, otherwise I'll have a nightmare getting him to sleep tonight and with DH away all week I can see it's going to be fun fun fun.
Welcome to the newbies. I see there's an August thread started now too.
Hope everyone is having a good day as I see there are others who have LOs with various illnesses too. Never mind, will soon be the weekend again!
LLxx

Hi All,
LIBRALADY - hope things get better for youall soon.

AGGIEPANTHER - hi and congrats!

BABY3 - poor you. Know just how you feel. I had that form 6 weeks to 5 months. I threw out all my DH spray deodorant, banned him form eating garlic and made him give away 1 of his aftershaves as all that made me feel 10 times worse too. I find the nausea utterly debilitating.
I am 6 weeks this weekend so am feeling pensive

Feel totally different this time though - boobs aren't as sore or tight IYKWIM.

Well my LO had me up last night again too. Form 3.30am to 5.30am then just wouldn't settle so I am utterly exahusted again - which makes me feel nauseous. Poor wee soul is all snottery and has a terrible cough now.
I will be in bed when she goes to bed tonight - my DH is away for a week so no break for me either.

Hope you are all great and LO's are cooking well

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 26/11/2007 15:15

Hi everyone,

oh god - I feel so sorry for all you suffering from nausea - it's the one thing that I absolutely cannot cope with. I've had some days but no throwing up and nothing I couldn't handle. You poor things. I have absolutely nothing to offer other than my unabounding sympathy!!!

I am just suffering from appalling and unrelenting exhaustion that is completely unaffected by any amount of sleep that I get.

sweetkitty · 26/11/2007 15:18

ladylush - poor you and DS hope he is on the mend soon

Aggie - congratulations and welcome

minkus and baby3 - so so sorry to hear you have been so poorly, I feel terrible when I moan about being a bit sick and feeling off colour it's nothing on HE I'm sure. Hope it passes for you both soon.

Sorry to those who have DC up in the night, DD1 was up 3 times last night but all before 1am so wasn't that bad, DP and I take it in turns who gets up.

I feel so tired today, woke up felt terrible after lunch sat on sofa and could feel myself falling asleep, just had a Twix see if that wakes me up.

feb · 26/11/2007 15:23

hello all.
its so good to know everyone else is worrying as much as i am!
thought i would be calmer 2nd time round but am convinced something is going to be wrong with the baby for some reason.
haven't felt sick last couple of days which is a worry in itself as had awful sickness for the previous 10 days. also have awful stomach cramps. am absolutely knackered. have been napping while ds naps, but DH is away on a course all week so am having to deal with his teething on my own.
to add to the upheaval we've half moved house. haven't completed yet but have moved a load of stuff to new house and am staying here while boiler is broken in old house.
went to register at new GPs today and need an appointment asap as have run out of asthma meds, but you have to ring up at 8am for an appointment, you can't book one in advance. also have to see a GP to get referred to a midwife, ah well will hopefully get an appointment tomorrow.
sorry for the long moan.
take care
xx

feb · 26/11/2007 15:30

sweetkitty have just seen from another thread that you had SPD in previous pg?
i had it from about 18 wks with ds1 and have already had ligament pains when i sneeze so am worried this pg is going to be worse!
did you have any treatment last time? my mw was very dismissive of it last time and just said it was a normal part of pg?!

gemenge · 26/11/2007 15:57

icklegem · 26/11/2007 15:59

HI ladies,

Bad news I'm afraid from me

Had a doc appointment for comfirming preg today but I started bleeding this morning. Has got very heavy and cramping tummy so doesn't look good.

I told doc and asked her to test me she point blank refused and told me to go home and rest. Yeah ok the 2 boys and baby will look after themselves right???

Anyway can you take me off the due date list please and I wish you all very happy and healthy pregnancies.

Gem

libralady · 26/11/2007 16:12

Oh icklegem
I'm sorry to hear to hear your news.
Can't believe that of the Dr! I know the NHS is stretched but even so.
Is there a chance it is just a small bleed or do you really think it's over?
Just rest as much as you can.
Love LLxx
