Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

OITSM - that rteally is fabulous news - CONGRATULATIONS and fingers crossed for the next scan! Gosh!!!!

Expat - how are things today and how did you get on at the EPU?

Isn't there someone else who was having a scan / check today?? I'm so sorry - I've got in a complete muddle.

Icklegem - mine will be 18 months apart too and I've found a few reassuring threads about the smaller age gap! They say it's busy for the first bit and then great thereafter!

Sweetkitty - that's some craving - delicious!!!

Verso · 23/11/2007 06:09

Expat - I've posted on your other thread.

I can't do personals for everyone because this thread is getting lovely and busy! but hello to those I've missed and to those having twins! Nothing much to report here apart from falling asleep on the train home every night and the smell of bread or anything yeasty making me feel very bleeeeuuuurrrgh (which is a technical term ).

libralady · 23/11/2007 08:14

Well my poor DS now looks like the singing detective! Doesn't like the calamine lotion being applied as it's cold so we have tears and tantrums everytime. Apart from that he is alright in himself. Got Drs at 9.30. Hopefully they will now be able to tell what it is and hopefully my bloods will be back. I'm now really suspecting it is German Measles. Let's hope my rubella immunity is still there! otherwise we'll have some serious decisions to make.

Morning all!

Ooooh fingers crossed on the german measles front - I'm sure all will be fine.

I've woken up feeling absolutely pathologically exhausted and sick.

frogmarsh · 23/11/2007 08:34

santascRUMPELedsuit · 23/11/2007 11:49

Hi All,

Hope everyone is feeling good today. I am fine today. Just a bit of heartburn and sore boobs but feeling well - 2 days in a row

RE Twins - it is fraternals that are hereditary and identicals are just a fluke - that's what they think at the moment anyway.
However, if you are a teenager or an older woman you are more liable to have twins as you release more eggs.

PAULAPLUMPBOTTOM - I had my dates muddled, I had been feeling pg for ages and though I was due that weekend but it wasn't until the following Sunday I was due AF, I tested on the Thursday though as I just knew because of symptoms.

The first time I heard DD's heartbeat was just over 12 weeks, I had just been for my scan and an old man ran a red light and hit me side on and wrecked my car. I was in a right state so midwife did the dopller to make sure baby was okay and she was - thank goodness. You fret like mad re alcohol, lifting, medication etc but I remember reading about a woman who had done a prachute jump, the 2 chutes failed to open properly and she amazingly survived - in hospital they found out she was pregnant. She had to have several operations and spent a long time in hospital but now has a healthy child! Just goes to show - IMO everything happens for a reason.

My DH is off working abroad for a week today so me and DD will be alone, together Well must go....

Breizhette · 23/11/2007 11:54

Morning,

I added myself to the list again. Not feeling nauseous today. It's true that when I am, I am unhappy but now that I feeling good, I wish I felt a tiny bit nauseous... Icklegem, any news?

feb · 23/11/2007 12:14

hello all.
i know what you mean breizhette, i woke feeling fine today (after being sick as a dog for the last week) and am now rather pleased to be feeling sick again!
had loads of pain low down on the right side today too. i wish i could stop analysing every twinge and just enjoy it.
welcome frogmarsh!

sweetkitty · 23/11/2007 12:32

frogmarsh - hello and congratulations, theres going to be a whole load of cancerians in your house then? I already have 2 probably going to have another

icklegem - why haven't you come on and told us your test result yet???

Feeling a bit nauseous today bit not too bad

Mummywannabe · 23/11/2007 14:41

Hi all

I've missed loads as been too rough to log on! Still very nauseous, progressed from retching to throwing up! Took me by suprise yesterday and i was sick all over myself and the car! Still never mind!

Know what you mean about worrying abuot every twinge, wish i could enjoy it a bit more too!

Hope your all well and those of you waiting for news get some good news soon.

mcchesers · 23/11/2007 15:37

Hello All - just back from EPU and everything is fine with the scan. We could even see the wee bean and a tiny heartbeat...NOT just an egg! I've never seen that before so am in total shock..so is DH.

Resident MW told me that my consultant was really nice and that I could relax until the 18th when my booking appointment is. So bean is measuring about 6+5 today and that's just fine. Thanks for all the good vibes. I'm just so relieved, I could cry!

Now onto the next 5 weeks, eek!

Mummywannabe · 23/11/2007 15:46

Thats fantastic news Mcchesers . Really pleased for you.

sfxmum · 23/11/2007 15:48

that is really good news mcchesers
I am prevaricating about booking a scan it is silly I know but I find much of my behaviour around the pg is not very rational

paulaplumpbottom · 23/11/2007 16:13

Mcchesers thats wonderful news!

icklegem · 23/11/2007 17:37

Hello all! Sorry had a mad busy day only just got a quick 5 to tell you the news......

Well did the early test today again and it's another faint BFP!!!!

I figure I must only just be preg that's why so faint and the normal test didn't pick up???

Well I am a very happy bunny atm and have booked a doc app for first thing Monday morn to truly confirm as should defo be able to tell by then.

xxx

mcchesers · 23/11/2007 17:42

Thanks so much everyone! I just wanted to make sure that everything was ok. After the mc in August, I was just a basket case. We don't have any dcs so this will be numero uno. I hope this bean likes Mexican food, because we're going to Texas for the holidays..and I'm hungry

SK - forgot to mention Nobby's nuts make curry flavoured cashews that is really tasty if you are craving curry and chips.

min912 · 23/11/2007 19:27

Due date 21 July, and we've been invited to a wedding on the 24th!! When I saw the GP this week I said, 'sooo... second babies are usually early, right?!'

DS 12mths.

I felt really faint and nauseous last week but totally fine this week. So now I don't know if I just happened to have a virus or that was short-lived morning sickness. I too am kind of hoping it comes back, not only because now it doesn't seem real, but also because I had hardly any morning sickness with my first baby (a boy) and in my twisted logic if I get lots of morning sickness with this one then perhaps it will be a girl.

min912 · 23/11/2007 19:31

Also icklegem, when I was pregnant first time round, the early test said I was pregnant (3 days after my period was due) and I then took a 'normal' test to be sure, and the line was sooo faint as to not really be readable, which then really confused me. I had to go out and buy another set of early tests, which were positive.

This time round, test on period due date, very very faint line, test two days later, stronger line. So I think there is definitely something in what you say... anyway, congrats!

mrsclairet · 23/11/2007 22:59

I got my 12 week scan date today and it's for the 24th december can you believe it? My DH was saying what a nice christmas present if everything is okay but if it's not, god that would be awful. We were worried though that it might be pushed back to jan so I am glad.

I've had a really busy couple of days but it's been good because it has taken my mind off worrying about every little twinge / not feeling sick etc. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
