Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

Well my HCG levels doubled and they did another scan and there was a perfect sac. So it looking good!!!!!!!

sweetkitty · 09/11/2007 20:17

great news paula, long may it continue for you

are you having another scan in a few weeks?

pigleychez · 09/11/2007 20:54

great news ppp!

Hope everyones well.

had a nightmare journey to work this morning. What usually takes me 10 minutes took me a hour!! I was not impressed- all because of roadworks.

Whilst sitting in traffic i began to feel all queasy and my stomach started churning.. not really the ideal place! Was already feeling pissed off so said loudly in the car looking at my tummy.. "Dont even think about it!" with that it stopped !

laughed with DH that this baby knows its mothers voice already!

excellent news, paula!

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 21:40

Thanks!

Yes Kitty on the 22nd. I have 22 people coming for dinner that night so the news better be good or I'm screwed

sweetkitty · 10/11/2007 14:36

Hello hope everyone is having a good Saturday, I have been out all morning shopping and then lunch. Was brushing my teeth this morning and threw up, which is a new one on me, think I threw up once with DD2 and never with DD1. Felt like it most of the time though. It's always when I brush my teeth I feel really sick. Wine and Whinge night went well although I didn't get home to well gone 2am, non alcoholic wine pretty OK too.

paulaplumpbottom · 10/11/2007 15:15

Brushing the teeth is the worst

sweetkitty · 10/11/2007 15:25

I'm glad it's not just me I thought I was freaky.

paulaplumpbottom · 10/11/2007 15:31

aggrivates the gag reflex

sweetkitty · 10/11/2007 15:43

I know it's annoying though.

I'm trying to look at it as a positive sign though.

paulaplumpbottom · 10/11/2007 15:47

When I was pregnant with dd it was the only time I was sick

meglet · 10/11/2007 18:59

hello ladies,

I'm afraid I'm leaving the thread as I'm pretty sure i'm not pg anymore. Started spotting thursday and got heavy bleeding this morning . Thankfully not much pain, which would have done it for me. Will test to double check in a few days but am pretty sure what the result will be.

Wasn't a good day for it either as it was DS's 1st birthday, so I had to grin and bear it all day. I am going to flop now.

First lost pregancy though and am thankful it was in the very early stages. Bit worried that my c-section might cause problems with carrying future pregnancies but I will wait and see.

Best of luck and massive hugs to everyone else though! Look after yourselves .

expatinscotland · 10/11/2007 20:41

aw, meglet ((HUGS)).

i hope your bleeding stops soon and you are still pg, though.

mcchesers · 10/11/2007 20:53

aww no meglet! I'm so sorry hon. Just my humble opinion but I think you should go to the EPU just to be sure. I'll be thinking about you.

I'm still not feeling very preg at all but think I may be coming down with something. sore throat sore muscles...in fact going back to bed.
zzzzzzzzzzzzz

MrsMadMand · 10/11/2007 20:57

hi there. haven't posted in a little while as been busy busy busy but boobs are definitely hotting up in the tender-stakes!! DH fancied a grope this mornign and i was peeled off the ceiling a moment or so later (and not in a good way!!).... still not feeling overly icky but agree that toothpaste makes it worse - did with DD1 as well. 5.5 weeks gone now and got my scan date through - 27th December so something to take my mind off the xmas sales! just wishing the time away to 12 weeks which i know is bad but can't help myself.

meglet · 10/11/2007 21:25

Thanks expat & mcchesers. GP said to test in middle of the week and if there is a miracle and I'm still pg then the hospital will scan me at 7 weeks. GP said to take it easy and see what happens for now, which I'm happy with. I'll keep you posted.

sweetkitty · 10/11/2007 22:36

oh no meglet so so sorry to hear this, will hope for a little miracle for you

expatinscotland · 10/11/2007 22:40

oh, meglet! will be keeping you in our thoughts here.

paulaplumpbottom · 11/11/2007 10:20

I'm so sorry Meglet.

sfxmum · 11/11/2007 10:29

good morning ladies

I just got a BFP yesterday but still feel very nervous about it all.

we have been trying for dc 2 for a long time and I have a history of unsuccessful pregnancies.
so am just saying hi and maybe stay away for a while longer.

I am sorry some of you are going through worrying times, I know how that feels.

sweetkitty · 11/11/2007 10:32

hello and welcome sfxmum I know what you mean I feel I shouldn't really be here yet and won't relax at all until after 12 weeks, I go between trying to be positive and trying not to get too excited about another potential baby. I think we need a very good dose of very sticky baby glue all round.

Not much happening here today it's nice and sunny although cold we will be wrapping the DDs up and taking them down the park once DP is back from church so I'm having a little 10 mins MN catch up.

sfxmum · 11/11/2007 10:36

hi SK thanks, we were up all night with dd (2.5) as she was sick countless times, it was weird being there and thinking 'I hope I don't catch a tummy bug not good for the baby'

maybe what I took for my kind of morning sickness yesterday was really a light touch of the bug

ponto · 11/11/2007 11:49

Thought I'd just look to see what had been posted in the last week and it has taken me the best part of an hour to catch up (when dh had taken the dds out so I could get on with some work stuff - so I feel v guilty now!)

Mylittleeloise, I also have an underactive thyroid. It was picked up in my first pregnancy and made no difference at all, I just was given thyroxine, had blood tests every 8 weeks to check the levels and I had midwife led care throughout. Second time round they booked me in for consultant care but I went to see my GP and she said she was happy to monitor my thyroid so the consultant said it was fine for me to go back to midwife led care again. I went on a slightly higher dose of thyroxine at around 12 weeks because your thyroid requirement goes up in pregnancy. Dd1 didn't have any tests but they did check dd2's thyroid levels at 3 weeks - all normal. So if you want to, you should be able to discuss things with your consultant and then not see him/her again. It's really no fun waiting for hours in hospital antenatal clinics if you don't have to be there, especially with a child to entertain.

I have had my booking appointment with the midwife already - the new receptionist at the surgery booked me in 3 weeks early by mistake! So hope to get a scan date soon - I'd like to tell my family at Christmas time with a scan picture for them to look at.

paulaplumpbottom · 11/11/2007 12:06

I'm very happy for you SFXMum

Have a bit of pink discharge this morning. I know I shouldn't be worried as my miscarriages have all started with brown gunk, but I can't help it. My lower back is also killing me.

mylittleeloise · 11/11/2007 18:03

thanks ponto thats put my mind at ease a bit more, where i live the nearest hospital is 15 min away but only offers a midwife led unit the next one is 30 min atleast and thats where i thought i would end up again(last time not through choice had to be induced) but this time i would like to deliver in my local midwife led unit, so if i can i will see if i can do what you have done and get GP to do reg bloods and take it from there
