Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

I gave DD the stick 7 said 'take this to daddy'...she did & asked 'what is it daddy' & he said he didn't know.

I have to turn it around & show him the lines....he is happy, but he has been to the pub so is sleeping now..

Dd said it was taking too long!

Morning all

jazz - so sorry to hear your news, chemical pregnancies are so horrid, leading you to believe the BFP then taking it away from you take some time to rest and take care of yourself

paula - sorry you are still feeling ill, I don't think a run of the mill tummy bug will affect the little bean, your body does a pretty good good of shielding it from nasty things, these things just tend to run their course a bit unfortunately. Just rest up and drink plenty of fluids.

sandcastles - hello, welcome and congratulations, what do you have already?

mummywannabee - not too much nausea yet now and again, I'm with you 12 weeks seems like ages away, I think I will be 12 weeks between Christmas and New Year!

Don't know if I keep imagining my boobs are tingly might be in my head as I know I'm pregnant. Been out and bought a few bottles of non alcohol rose wine today, don't know what it's like but at least I can "pretend" and drink it in a proper wine glass and not feel left out and the Wine and Whinge party.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:01

Sainsbury's used to do a lovely non chardonnay

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:02

SK, Thank You. I have a dd, age 4.

sweetkitty · 09/11/2007 12:03

Unfortunately Sainburys is too far away, they don't do deliveries there either all we have is either Tesco delivery or the local Asda which I hate with a passion but needs must sometimes. There isn't even a little greengrocers in this town.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:05

So you told your dd? Was she excited?

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:09

I don't know if she fully understands. She has an imaginary friend calend Benny & asked if I would be having him!

She also said "It's taking too long, mummy' which was lovely & sweet.

She was a bit sad going to sleep, but I am hoping that it was because she was tired, her bedtime kinda got forgotten!

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:10

9 months is an eternity for them

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:13

I know, it is bad enough for us.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:14

My dd suspects but doesn't know for sure. Luckily she has just had a new cousin so she knows how long a wait it is

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:16

How old is your dd?

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:16

4

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:19

Same age as mine. Such a nice age.

I hoping she doesn't tell her nanny & Grandad tomorrow...

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:20

LOL of course she will

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:21

Great! That will be fun....I'll run away & hide!

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:23

Why? They'll be thrilled

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:31

Well I would hope so, but we just found out that our landlord wants to sell this house next year & we have first refusal, so we should be saving etc..you know how olds are about savung etc

They will be happy tho, it is only their 2nd grandchild.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:33

If you haqve most of your things from DD1 there won't be much to buy

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 12:47

That is true, we do have all the big things...maybe I am just seeing the worse side..

Will have to see what happens!

Am off to bed now, up early tomorrow.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 12:48

night

mylittleeloise · 09/11/2007 13:05

well reality has just hit me with a great thud, our house is up for sale and has been for about 4 months, dd and ss share a room and im now stressing where am i going to put the baby if we cant sell before it arrives, the housing market is totally dead up here so im not holding out much hope, theres no way we can afford to move and keep this one going til it does sell either, arrgggh what to do?!?!

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 13:11

They sleep with you for the first 6 months anyway

mylittleeloise · 09/11/2007 13:21

i just would rather move before lo is born than try to move with new lo and a 2 year old, its stressful enough as it is but dh works away so will have to do most on my own iyswim so would be far easier to move sooner rather than later, i know there is nothing i can do, just wish someone would come and buy the bloody thing

sweetkitty · 09/11/2007 13:38

We are not telling DD1 until after Christmas probably when I will be over 12 weeks and we can show her a picture and look at my growing tummy, I agree next July is an age away for them.

Although last night I was having a look through the Next catalogue and DD1 was looking at the baby clothes and said "Mum I want that baby" erm if only it were that easy eh, what code is that for a cute baby then?

Last time I moved DD1 was 14 months and I was 5 month pregnant with DD2 it was a very stressful move. I know how you feel mylittleeloise it took us a year to sell our flat and it was horrendous, I hope you sell yours sooner. The new baby will be in with us for at least a year then it will have DD2's room and the DDs will share.
