Can't believe it. Just got my BFP today and by my reckoning baby should be due 1st July.
Is there anyone else out there?

How did you get over it?

expatinscotland · 08/11/2007 21:36

it does attenuate in time in most cases, paula.

but it doesn't in some people and becomes clinical depression, if i understand correctly.

tbh, there really are some things i would rather not discuss on here or i'd prefer to keep in the feeling depressed topic, if you don't mind.

paulaplumpbottom · 08/11/2007 21:38

Of course I' sorry I didn't mean to upset

sweetkitty · 08/11/2007 21:40

I'm fortunate never to have had PND but have suffered from depression and anxiety most of my life, it's not easy. I actually found having children has helped a great deal as it gave me focus and a sense of purpose.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2007 21:43

it's not upsetting, paula, it's just very personal.

paulaplumpbottom · 08/11/2007 21:47

of course

sweetkitty · 08/11/2007 22:58

right I'm off to bed night all

wonder when we will get our next member, it's been a bit quiet in here recently

Mummywannabe · 09/11/2007 09:12

Hi, only posted twice on here but due 9th July. feel rotten today, anyone else got nausea? The last week since i found out has dragged so much, it seems like forever till 12 weeks!

jazzandh · 09/11/2007 09:27

Well ladies, haven't been on for a few days as I started to bleed (like normal AF - so no mistake) and I think this was a chemical pregnancy.

Feel ok as it was so early - I keep telling myself that if I hadn't tested would never have known and never experienced much in the way of symptoms.

Luckily for me - I didn't really get my head "into gear" too much - so I am focusing in a way on the positive side - that we can get pregnant. Previous history (4 years for DS)- me one tube, DH iffy sp count, cs (unknown effects)etc.

Anyway - enough waffle - but wishing you all the very best of luck - will keep an eye on this thread.

Jazz

mcchesers · 09/11/2007 09:42

jazz- Oh no. I'm really sorry to see you go. That must be a shock after the BFP. As you said now you have faith that you can get preg. Take it easy and try to relax this weekend.

Big hugs to you x

Mummywannabe · 09/11/2007 09:42

Jazz

Really sorry ot hear your news. Take care of yourself.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 10:00

Jazz I'm so sorry.

mcchesers · 09/11/2007 10:47

I've got myself a box of tension tamer, now who's the yoga expert in here? I know something has to give as I am losing the will to do anything over here.

Can anyone recommend any DVDs? The classes around here are pretty expensive.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 10:53

Still have this tummy bug. Do you think it will affect the pregnancy

mcchesers · 09/11/2007 11:22

My GP says with bugs just to keep drinking fluids and keep down the vitamins, Paula. You might want to check with your GP just to be safe. Poor thing, tummy bugs are miserable.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 11:26

I see the Midwife for second blood test this afternoon so i'll ask her. I have been taking small sips of water and have kept down my pre-natal vitamins. I have to say this bug has been pretty nasty. I'm hoping its on the way out.

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 11:28

I guess this is where I need to be...just got a BFP..

Due 17th July

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 11:31

Congratulations Sandcastles!!!!!!!!!!!!

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 11:36

Thanks Paula..

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 11:37

How are you feeling?

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 11:41

It is a bit surreal..as with last time, keep looking at the two lines.

Kept forgetting the folic acid while TTC, but now I have it on my desk.

I must remember
I must remember

Have to make an effort to eat healthy too, as last time I couldn't eat much & lost weight!

Very exciting.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 11:42

Have you had it confirmed by your GP yet?

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 11:44

Not too bad...have been VERY tired for last few days & then af late, so put 2 & 2 together.

Had some queasiness this am, but out that down to forgetting breakfast.

Headache now too, but that is probably the excitement.

sandcastles · 09/11/2007 11:45

No, I only found out at 8pm (am in Australia) so will have to call them Monday now.

paulaplumpbottom · 09/11/2007 11:51

Have you told your partner yet?
