Morning All,

Firstly BARRISTERMUM am soooo at you seeing Macbeth. Was this the one in shaftesbury avenue with Patrick Stewart, I am trying in vain to find someone to go with right now as I really want to see it, i think i have nearly broken DH as he is not a Shakespeare fan but can tolerate Macbeth. Was it good?????

I am booking tickets to see Wicked for my cousins birthday so excited about that and just noticed that they have Gone with the Wind coming out in april, so will be dropping hints all over the place at Xmas for tickets.

I am having a bit of clothing dilemma. Have Eid next week and as I am visiting the ILs (against my better judgement after 7 months absence) need to get some Asian clothes, but unfortunately rarely do Asian ready made clothes off the peg come in larger sizes, the other option is buying fabric and giving it to a tailor, but the tailors are going to be manic as only one week to go people will already have all their orders in..... nightmare and I dont need to have a conversation about why i dont have new clothes for Eid with Ils as that will just be a bad start rto what promises to not be a particularly enjoyable day / few hours anyway.

Gingeme - sorry your DH lost his temper. My Dh regularly loses his rag with DS for (IMO) no apparent reason, mainly making too much noise if he is watching TV or something and then moans if I comfort him. The thing is the poor thing wont know when he has really done soemthing wrong if he gets told off for everything. Other times he is great. So my sympathies and glad it all got sorted.

Awen - glad DS on the mend as well and that DP is back on Sat.

Hi to everyone.

Amani · 04/10/2007 08:06

Morning all

Think my last burst of energy has collapsed and feeling the usual 'I'm fed up and want this baby NOW' emotions again now!

Gingeme and Awen - well done for all your hard work so far. Hopefully your DS should have a speedy recovery.

Mixedmama - I would get a 'ready-made' Asian suit - you can buy some nice larger ones from places like Green Street. I wouldn't bother with tailors, and plus you will probably need a fitting and adjustment (I'm always fussy and re-adjust everything that is sewn!), which will take a little longer.

Problem with Green Street is that to find ready made large size is actually really hard, you have to proper search through rails and you might come up with maybe two or three options and you have to try everything on and it takes so long. Plus, Green Street the week before Eid - I am asking for trouble. Live in Walthamstow anyway so we have lots of shops around anyway, just really cannot be asked.

Amani · 04/10/2007 08:46

Why don't you be different instead of wearing Asian clothes??

This year, I've bought this lovely Silk tunic dress from Warehouse (non maternity but size 14), which comes down to my knees. It's white with designs on, but looks 'East meets West'. I'm going to wear it with a lovely pair of black trousers and matching pashmina and Asian jewlery to complete the look.

mixedmama · 04/10/2007 08:56

That is such a good idea, then i can wear it elsewhere as well (my dad has an issue with me wearing Asian clothes as he thinks i do it to please others blah blah) so if Eid is the same day for them and us i always have to get changed and stuff. you are officially a genius.

Amani · 04/10/2007 08:57

feel like such a style guru now!!! I should have my own tv programme and be paid loads of money!!

Posting in Jan and Dec as need to rant.

Having a rubbish morning.

The one perm full time member of the ream has phoned in sick and we have a temp from a company we have just merged with who is beyond useless. She put a call throught to me the other day where the caller just said " I wanted directory enquiries". Obv I am a temp also, so trying to be patient but driving me round the bend and then got the moany temp who knows what she is doing but moans constantly and has the most annoyingly loud voice on the planet and is incredibly rude on the phone coming in at 10.30 fun and games today.

beller · 04/10/2007 10:47

(((((((mixedmama))))))) - not good eh! deep breaths......although im no sure how that will help!

mixedmama · 04/10/2007 10:49

Have already had

toast and tea
coffee and maltesers
bagel and cream cheese and lunch time at 12 noon

being so greedy - have just been appeasing myself by trying to find a nice dress to wear for Eid.

gingeme · 04/10/2007 11:31

Good morning ladies. Ok stupid question mixedmamma would a sari not be any good or am I mixing this up? Thought they could be wrapped around any shaped woman. I remember when I was younger and my Nans neighbour(who was Indian) got married and she dressed me in a sari to go to the wedding. It was beautiful and it stayed on all day which amazed me as there was no fastenings to speak of.
Feeling pretty crap today. Had a bit of a funny tummy last night. Kept having to go to the loo. Feel quite washed out. Think I need to get out the house for abit. Still atleast the weathers a bit nicer today.
beans been more active today than usual too. Wonder what thats all about
Have a good day all xxx

mixedmama · 04/10/2007 11:33

Bengali people do actually favour saris, but firstly I cant put it on myself meaning I would have to get ready there and spend more time there, and also I just dont feel comfy in saris, plus i am shortie and they look weird on me. Good idea tho Gingeme if all else fails.

Cazzybaby · 04/10/2007 11:36

Morning All

Beller ? How exciting about the nursery, I haven?t even thought about nursery furniture yet, have my little brother staying with us for a month and he is in babies room so as soon as I have turfed him out I will get started!

Mixedmama ? Sorry to hear about your temping nightmare today!! I second Amani?s suggestion of a bounty bar!

I cant believe the sun is actually shining here today! Yay puts me in a much better mood!

gingeme · 04/10/2007 11:38

Cazzybaby · 04/10/2007 11:54

gingeme - I have a rose on my stomach which is slowley turning into a giant sunflower - you just dont think about getting pregnant when you get tattoos do you!

Also have a funny loveheart thing with chineese symbol over the top which I hate, very silly mistake. What makes it even worse is that I asked a chineese bloke to translate it for me ages ago and he said the symbol says 'middle people' just what I wanted written on my arm! Gotta laugh about it tho!

Anyone had any experience of tattoos stretching when pregnant, do they go back to normal after?
