mixedmama · 17/10/2007 12:40

I think that would be a good idea Beller, no point in it going to waste.

beller · 17/10/2007 12:41

mixedmamma - have you accepted me on facebook, or been policed from work? x

Neuro · 17/10/2007 12:41

MM just seen your little boy. Awwwwwwww for the second time! So sweet. I am so glad i am having a baby, looking forward to having a little person around.

Also just looked at your wedding photos - i sound like a stalker how embarrassing - and if i ever get married I don't want a stereotypical english wedding, i want something Turkish/Indian with lots of colour and excting pretty outfits. I love your red and gold number. Do you ever get a chance to wear it? Could you wear the top/jacket with jeans?

mixedmama · 17/10/2007 12:42

cant access form work...

Amani · 17/10/2007 12:45

I can't see your wedding pics on your profile..

I suppsoe I could. At one point I wanted to slim back to my size 8 days (not sure it will ever happen)and have it made into an indian trouser suit for special occasions as I have a massive incredibly heavy long veil that I didnt wear in Turkey as dancing was my priority over there otheriwse am thinking of selling it. The problem is i could only wear it to other weddings really and i prefer to be simple in my clothes and exagerrate my accessories since I doont like to be the white girl in asian clothes iyswim and plus the bride would probably be wearing something simlar.

Sorry that was a waffle and a half.

mixedmama · 17/10/2007 12:46

Neuro · 17/10/2007 12:51

Have spoken to Midwife, getting blood done tomorrow.

Beller i think it's a great idea to get your lovely diamond re set.

MrsBiscuit · 17/10/2007 12:53

Neuro - have you looked at Omega watches? They've got some which are similar styles to Rolex, but not quite so expensive.

Neuro · 17/10/2007 12:53

iswym!

Neuro · 17/10/2007 12:54

Are Omega good time keepers?

MrsMcSpooky · 17/10/2007 13:09

HEEYYYYYYYYYYY no more Facebook chat, it?s not fair, many of us can?t get in and it?s exclusionary!!! ? sorry had to get that out!!

Nicky6 ? poor you hope you feel better soon. I?ve been dodging all the sick people at work, why can?t they just stay at home?! glad MW appointment went well. Can someone take the case from you? It sounds too stressful for you to do at that stage?! My Dh can?t come to my first AN class either.

Amani ? that?s great news about your blood results get the body cream on that itchy skin! Glad you had a good night?s sleep, mine was crap again LOL at your dream!

Fruitful ? I am so sorry, it must be horrible I bet you are doing lots of internet research on it. It is VictorVictoria from this thread (originally) who I think has the same thing but I could be wrong

Housemum I can?t believe your friend?s chair broke ? they are so expensive too!

FrankAwen hey. I?m with you on the post natal checking, that would be too weird!

Sabinar glad you had a good night too.

Beller ? wondered where you were! which book did you buy on hypnobirthing? I cried in that episode of Brothers & Sisters too ? for so many reasons ? as did DH! Sounds like you had a nice day off so sorry about your friend, how awful

Watched BUB was really disappointed with the ending to be honest

Madmouse ? I do agree with what you say but couldn?t help thinking that the Spock couple didn?t really portray the Spock method that well as they (well she, he never said much) was very worried about everything and the personalities of the other couples were so different.

ohhhh better go or will be late for MW!

MrsBiscuit · 17/10/2007 13:12

Depends what type you go for - if you want a mechanical movement, you're going to have to readjust every couple of days. But if you go for an electronic movement it should be fine - I've got a Seamaster quartz and it keeps perfect time.

This is it Omega Seamaster

beller · 17/10/2007 13:21

Mrsmcjnr - i bought this book www.amazon.co.uk/Hypnobirthing-Breakthrough-Easier-Comfortable-Childbirth/dp/0285637711/ref=sr_1_2/0 26-3731961-9612452?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1192623544&sr=1-2, Like i say, havnt read it yet...hahahaha Have read quite alot of Ina May Gaskins book www.amazon.co.uk/Ina-Mays-Guide-Childbirth-Gaskin/dp/0553381156/ref=sr_1_1/026-3731961-9612452?ie=UT F8&s=books&qid=1192623623&sr=1-1 and its quite good, a bit too american in places, but very good for positive birthing stories! I will start the hypno birthing one soon! x

Afternoon ladies.
Feel tired today even though I slept pretty well last night. 4am is my wake up for a wee time too.
I watched BUB last night and yes it did seem all the parents did realy well with what paths they chose. Though I find that most babys find their own routine naturaly enough anyway. All be it some quicker than others.
It sparked a few good discussions with dh and I last night too.
I have kept on about a certain diamond ring for ages. Asked dh for it for a combined birthday and Christmas pressie. Could have it as a 'last baby pressie'. Mmmm Ill give it a think.
Well thats about it from me for now.
Take care all xxx

Battymamma · 17/10/2007 13:25

Morning ladies - sorry afternoon!

It's my Friday at work so I get manic but have just caught up with you all.

I missed Amani's pics of her daughter but I've seen Mixedmama's cute little boy. Ahhh! Awen where's your photos gone. I lost all my profile when I halloweened my name! I'm sure it'll come back at some point...

Beller - I saw that thread about the lady who lost her dh. It was shocking. It was on a fishing trip if I remember rightly. I hope she is better. I cried when I read the post.

Missed BUB last night - was it the last one then? Someone update me on it. From reading this CV and continuum method sounded the happiest?? I was too busy watching Adam from Spooks running around looking tasty. He was my sis's best friends boyf at school in real life but he was SUCH a posh geek then.

Everyone else - hope you're well.x

mixedmama · 17/10/2007 13:29

I love Raza whats his name who plays Zaf saw him in Bombay Dreams no less than three times.

Amani · 17/10/2007 13:33

BM -poped out for houmous (been eating it 3 days in a row!) so took pictures off profile. Put them back on for a moment though...

OP posts:
Battymamma · 17/10/2007 13:43

MM - ahh yes the lovely Zaf. He's been in lots of things. Do you think he'll survive this? They're always killing the main characters off - its most frustrating. Just seen your list on due in Dec. Very good intentions. Mine was - must wear mascara and lipstick every day after having the baby. Don't know why but it really made me feel like a human (at the times when i thought i was turning into a zombie with a newborn if you know what i mean!)

Amani - am being thick with the pics. Can't see them. You're into hummous at the mo? I'm craving lime pickle and fig rolls. Not together tho!

mixedmama · 17/10/2007 13:46

Batty - i fell asleep i think relaistically i am going to try havign a shower in the morning as someone mentioned that it made them feel human and wear clean clothes and second the mascara aspect although i cried all the time for ages last time so will have to see about that.

Battymamma · 17/10/2007 13:49

Clean clothes yes! Without sick or milk stains... Showers in the morning can be very difficult but I might try a bath every night.

Battymamma · 17/10/2007 13:51

Jsut seen the pics Amani - ah bless her. She is VERY cute. My dd's hair is VERY similar to hers. Does she let you brush it? Mine's not keen.

Amani · 17/10/2007 13:54

now batty?

OP posts:
Amani · 17/10/2007 13:56

Batty - lol @ messy hair. Answer is no. It's such a fight with her to brush her hair, she cries like I'm tourturing her and DH doesn't like to hear her cry so always tells me to leave it. I usualy put lots of pretty hair clips in her hair but she's lost so many....some days I just want to give up.

OP posts:
Battymamma · 17/10/2007 14:01

Ahh tell me about it! I get through a pack of hairclips a month i reckon. Sometimes I leave kids leave-in conditioner in her hair in the faint hope that it will detangle itself but then it looks lank and tangley! I have to run round the house after her with her shouting 'all done, all done'.
