Ta ra!

Battymamma · 16/10/2007 16:09

Just downloaded a baby ticker on FB! Brilliant.

Get that temp sacked MM! Bloomin fish.

Naetha - if you can, and you don't mind 2nd hand - look at ebay for the expensive dutalier style one. There's lots on there. I've got the Ikea one and it was ok.

Awen - xp's girlfriend as midwife. Ohhhhh. You are brave. I would have turned around and ran!

MrsBiscuit · 16/10/2007 16:43

MrsMcSpooks - precision with numbers is an unfortunate side effect of being a bean counter

Awen - ooh, don't envy the MW situation. I once registered at a surgery and was allotted an ex university snog as my GP. I had to request a different doctor every time I made an appointment. It would have just been too weird to talk about my bodily problems with him.

Naetha - I've been monitoring 2nd hand Dutailiers on ebay and they generally go for around £200. I'm looking for one that's being sold locally as they all specifiy buyer to pick up.

Battymama - Dh is in the army. Not likely to go away again just yet, but it's inevitable within a couple of years.

Jealous about the Facebook stuff - it's blocked at work and I'm off out to dinner straight after tonight, so will have to wait till tomorrow evening.

gingeme · 16/10/2007 16:47

Oh, Awen How old is your ex? Just out of curiosity. My ex is 36 and his wife is 47 and she looks a bit like Diedre from Corry street. Never did understand why hes with her. I mean Im no oil painting but still..... I think he needed to be mothered tbh

MrsMcSpooky · 16/10/2007 16:51

LOL MrsB bean counters hey!?

I feel really odd this afternoon, exhausted, I just snuck to the loo for a 5 second little sleep

nicky6 · 16/10/2007 18:01

s[ent so long trying to catch up now no time to post.

One of the dh's turned up to antenatal classes last week with terrible cold so as a result i have been feeling terrible all week as i muyst have almost instantaneously caught it from him as i woke up the following day with swollen glands etc etc etc, my dh very cross about it.

M/w today says all is fine fundal urine heartbeat etc so thats good,

the murder i am doing at the end of the year is turning out to be the case from hell.

still not bougght a single item of baby things - oh well plenty of time yet??????????????????????????????

Amani · 16/10/2007 18:15

Don't worry nicky6 - plenty of time I've been quite relaxed too and bought a few bits and bobs, but have got all the major things from when I had DD.

Called m/w and blood tests came back ok for iron and negative for cholestisis (sp?)

Hello all,

The accreta thing is where the placenta grows into the wall of the womb and is therefore difficult to detach. The consultant is doom-mongering about general anaesthetic and vertical incisions and intensive care and hysterectomies and massive blood transfusions. I'm not actually bleeding any more and they have no clue at all how long things may last - could be next week or next year. And I am very p**d off and I want to go home now!

Housemum · 16/10/2007 20:34

Naetha - I had the IKEA chair and it was fine - to be honest, I'm not sure about those Dutailer chairs - my friend had one and I was but when I sat in it I found it really awkward as it moved so much, particularly trying to heave myself out of it when still pretty lardy and trying not to wake sleeping baby-in-arms. And hers broke after only about a year so not v good value at all.

BeckyAu · 16/10/2007 20:47

Big hugs to you Fruitful. So sorry you're having a rubbish time. Fingers crossed you can go home soon xxx

FrankAwenstein · 16/10/2007 20:52

gingeme - xp is 36 and think she is 47 too. Too many coniscendces with you and me as we are also both red heads!

Just got text from mw apologising as she had no idea she was seeing me and if i preferred she would arrange for someone esle to see me. Tbh she seems ok, never had a problem with her so said that no need to worry unless and i was ok if she was. Thing is if postnatally she needs to checking stitches I will be asking for someone else .. freaky tho. DP thinksz it is relly funny how fate works. Oh well perhaps will get special treatment

Fruitful - i looked up accretta (nosey me) and it sounds scarey, there are diff severities tho so hope yours is least severe xx

Amani · 17/10/2007 08:37

Morning all!

Fruitful - fingers crossed for you hun!!

Awen - Good on you, but I think I would have felt awkward in that situation having her as a m/w.

Anyway, feeling fullof enegry today. Had a good night kip!!

sabinar · 17/10/2007 08:37

good morning all! well I am in a fine mood this morning because I think I got the best sleep I've had in ages! I don't think I even moved position all night. Amazing.

my dreams all included LO kicking away in my belly... I wonder if he actually was and that was my way of not waking up but acknowledging it, or if I'm getting so used to that feeling now that it's starting to feature in my dreams.

Still no sign of erotic dreams though. I think last night I mostly dreamed about a conference. (aaah, perhaps boringness of the dream has some kind of relationship to depth of sleep?!)

I finally took the toilet paper test this morning and counted with trepidation but in the end got to eight and a bit sheets... phew! I have a feeling if I did the same test later in the day I might get a slightly different (larger!) result too!

ok. I'm going to make the most of my good work and plough into my work!

Hope you are all well today!

Amani · 17/10/2007 08:49

x post with Sabinar - we're full of beans today!!

Talking about wierd dreams, had a dream last night that DH and I went to Africa and DH tried to smuggle some weed back in the straps on my hand bag and got caught at an airport made of bamboo sticks....
