Frankawenstein I am confused.com!

Was the midwife your son's dad's ex girlfriend? Or his girlfriend?

I ask as you say she mentioned her grandchildren so just wondering how old your son's dad is?

Am i being stupid?

MrsMcSpooky · 16/10/2007 14:43

Naetha ? I?ve heard that Guinness is full of nutrients too! Not personally a fan but don?t give up yet!

Batty ? that?s interesting thanks, I?ll have a look at his site.

MrsB ? that is very precise!

Housemum ? I?ve avoided the Facebook obsession too, I just know I?d get addicted and one addiction (MN) is hard enough to hide!

Sideways ? LOL I?ve bought that crate for a few people ? very gratefully received too

Toomanyshoes ? how awful I?m so glad you stood your ground!! I hope the results come back clear tomorrow.

God ? I think Beanie must be doing a growing spurt, I feel like I?m growing by the minute and it?s not comfy!!

Neuro ? hell no! some of the best presents I?ve ever had I?ve bought for myself!! you go girl!!

FrankA ? NO!!!!! one of DH?s ex?s is a MW at the other hospital so hopefully I won?t end up there but one of my ex?s (we are still mates but avoid each other as there?s still an attraction there!) is an anaesthetist at my hospital so I am hoping and praying I won?t need any extra pain relief!!

FrankAwenstein · 16/10/2007 14:46

yes did say she has a grandson (a little baby), she is my ds1's dads girlfriend. My ex/p is 36 and she is about 47 (might be 48).

Angechica · 16/10/2007 14:46

OOH I like the Baby Ticker!

FrankAwenstein · 16/10/2007 14:47

gets a bit more complicated but that is a whole other story

Neuro · 16/10/2007 14:54

the Babyticker is ACE! Mixedmama you need to get this on your Facebook.

FrankAwenStein - is your ex partner having a Mrs Robinson moment?!

At least you don't have to show her your ladybits...

mixedmama · 16/10/2007 14:55

Hilarious argument just kicked off at work.

For those of you who can bothered to read this:

The temp (the one that stole the money before) is really confrontational. At the end of the day we are temps so have to accept a certain amount of decision making goes on above our heads.

So we have a new sort of unofficial suppervisor. Really nice.

Normally our rota is a mix of all different shifts all week. The new supervisor has decided that she wants us to all do the same shift with it changing each week. So all week one shift, which tbh is better I think. But, she said we will be flexible and if I need to go somewhere or someone else does we can swap odd days here and there etc.

So other temp kicks up a massive massive stink, saying she doesnt want to it and what if she wants to go to the gym or for a run, on a late shift iit is impossible.

Blimey, we are temps you know deal with it, please they could get someone much more flexible than her anyway.

Really peed me off how she wont even give it a chance.

mixedmama · 16/10/2007 14:56

Is it going to be easy to find Neuro I find FB so confusing at times.

Neuro · 16/10/2007 15:08

Sounds like a good system to me MM.

Finding the Babyticker is easy, when you get onto FB it is on right hand side of my page towards the bottom. You just have to click on it or a bit that says ADD Baby Ticker and it'll install it on your page. It's a countdown to the birth and lists how long you have to go in days, weeks, months.

Amani · 16/10/2007 15:14

Awen - oh my gosh at your m/w!

I want a baby ticker!!

So funny she is stillin a strop.

Neuro · 16/10/2007 15:33

Why is she even still there? She sounds like a right trollop. Can't you all outvote her?

MrsMcSpooky · 16/10/2007 15:35

MM - I have to say that I'm surprised she's still there after the money incident!

mixedmama · 16/10/2007 15:35

Would you believe tho she thinks that she is going to get made perm.

Naetha · 16/10/2007 15:36

Been thinking about nursing chairs, and was thinking I'm going to have to sit somewhere to BF, and I'm going to be sat there a lot, so it might as well be comfy.

Does anyone know the reason for the huge price differences in the Dutalier chairs, and whether its worth getting the footstool to go with it? Was looking at this one:

www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000UPMBLG/sr=1-1/qid=1192545189/ref=sr_1_1/202-4358247-9821411?ie=UTF 8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44366031&mcb=core

But then I was also considering this one from Ikea:

www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S49830624

Is the Dutalier one really worth that much more?

Naetha · 16/10/2007 15:38

Oh, and lol at the whole ex-p's new gf as midwife thing, and the narky temp thing - I'm glad all I have to cope with is pretending to work!!

Neuro · 16/10/2007 15:42

Sometimes pushy annoying people do get taken on though! They make good sales people. Apols to nice sales people on here

mixedmama · 16/10/2007 15:43

shes a switchboard operator (actually really a switchboard operator not filling in the time)..... she has the telephone manner of a fish.

Amani · 16/10/2007 15:45

the IKEA chair looks nice.

Although I'd love a special BF chair - don't think I'll be splashng out on one. Prob buy loads of cushions instead and see if that helps. Plus have DD to run around after so wil prob be feeding in various rooms around the house!

Neatha - have a look at the ones of Kiddicare.com, I think I'll got for the £99 weavers one, seems like a good deal.

Neuro · 16/10/2007 15:49

the telephone manner of a fish - everyone looking at me in the office now for laughing out loud.

Love it!

madmouse · 16/10/2007 15:55

Busy trying to imagine having a telephone conversation with a fish. Bubbly? Not from the sounds of it!

mixedmama · 16/10/2007 15:55
