Anyone else find out there due in April 2021. Just found out yesterday that's I'm pregnant with our first baby, we only started trying about 6/7weeks ago so this has been the best news ever. Would love to have some other mummies that are due around that same time to experience this with.

@Tiff94 I had an abdominal scan last time, no internal

You are so organised already having a list and buying bits. I was like you @Teapotdespot and I didn't really start buying until 20weeks last time. We didn't find out what we were having and kept everything so I already have everything I'd need for a baby so I won't have any pregnancy shopping to do, which is weird! I'm sure I'll still end up finding something I need Grin

calimommy · 05/08/2020 14:31

@Sals27 I did that the first time too haha. Well I actually didn't buy stuff until 24 weeks when baby is viable. We didn't find out what we were having the first two times but we did the third time as I had two boys so wondered if I needed to get a few pink bits. I didn't 😂. If this pregnancy works out we will find out again. I loved not knowing the first two but it helped me knowing the third time as we are abroad now so the health system is different and we are away from family etc so one less unknown was nice. I fully expect this to be a boy though.

Hi all can I join ?
Got my postive on frer this morning. I didn't believe it at first just had a postive on cheapie test ! So starting to believe it but so scared about miscarriage. Bit about me I'm a young single person with a condtion which might effect my fertility. I did this vier a donor, not through clinic. Went down twice during fertile unit first month trying. 10 hour round trip with a hotel! Got peak opk 22 and 25 so not 100% when I ovulated either 8dpo or 12. Due around the 20th

Teapotdespot · 05/08/2020 16:08

@ohsotrying I’m also terrified of miscarriage having had 2 already. If you’re like me though, you take comfort in statistics and based on statistics, you are astronomically more likely to have a healthy pregnancy than not no matter how you conceived. I have PCOS which also impacts fertility, your chances of getting pregnant and your ability to retain a pregnancy and even with all that, you’re statistically more likely to have a healthy pregnancy than not.

More line progression for me today which is calming me a bit after the bleeding and cramps. I lost one of my pregnancies at exactly the same time in the pregnancy as I am today, so I’ve had a bit of nervousness and general anxiety about that today. I feel like I’m waiting to lose it which is killing any excitement I can have at the moment. I’m not sure how I’m going to get passed that or whether I’m always going to be this nervous?

Welcome @Ltay2 @ohsotrying congratulations on your BFPs glad to have you here with us.

I'm feeling better today then previously expect my nipples are so sore and tender I feel there a bit dry to lo anyone know of something that can help?

@ohsotrying if you don't mind me asking you said you didn't use a clinic but went to fertile unit how does that work ? Do you mind sharing ? I'm curious 😀

Ltay2 · 05/08/2020 17:02

@Tiff94 My nipples are tender too, although not as bad today. I've got a few scratches/scabs from where I've scratched them with them being itchy too so I've been putting a bit of sudocrem on but then that makes them dry! So it's a bit of trial and error with alternating the sudocrem and E45 moisturiser really.

Tiff94 · 05/08/2020 17:04

@Ltay2 mine are starting to look like scabs too I haven't put anything yet as don't want to dry it out any more I swear the pain of putting a bra on and taking it off 😫

Sals27 · 05/08/2020 17:05

@Ltay2 Hi, due date buddy! I've decided my EDD is 11th too! My cycle length varies between 28 and 30 days and NHS gives me a due date between 10-12th so I'm just going with the 11th in the middle. Scan will confirm anyway.

I'm feeling fine, no symptoms except cramping. I know the cramping doesn't mean anything as I had the same last time too but I just want to fast forward the next couple of weeks as I feel like my period could come any second and it's unnerving.

Sals27 · 05/08/2020 17:07

@calimommy This is baby number 4? Wow congratulations! I've always wanted 4 but now I have one, I'm less sure. Will see how number 2 goes Grin

Ltay2 · 05/08/2020 17:24

@Tiff94 Oh no! Try getting some cotton pads for your bra so the scabs don't open and dry stuck to the material, I've had that before having to rip a bra away from a healed scab, not pretty! 😂

@Sals27 Aww yay due date buddy! My due date could be 11th or 12th with my cycles being 29-30 days but my cycles have followed a really weird pattern lately of 29,30,29,30 so this cycle should have been 29 following on the pattern and that's what I'm going with which gives 11th April! I've had cramps too it's a little worrying but trying to remain calm! Mostly I think my cramps are due to stomach upsets rather than actual AF like cramps but it's hard to tell the difference sometimes.

Teapotdespot · 05/08/2020 17:25

Tip for cramping I was told at the hospital: drink room temp water and plenty of it. Apparently dehydration can cause cramping in early pregnancy and so can drinking really cold water. Worked like a charm for me, I've had no cramps at all today!

Ltay2 · 05/08/2020 17:29

@Teapotdespot Oh that's interesting! I drink a lot of cold water at work so will have to try letting it warm up a bit more drinking.

RedJe55 · 05/08/2020 17:37

@Ltay2 I have had cramps for the last couple of weeks - yesterday they finally subsided so I felt really smug, stayed up a bit later la-de-dah. But no, they returned this morning with vengeance! I think they are down to a combination of constipation and the ligaments in my uterus stretching - that is what I've read so try not to worry too much. Which is easier said than done!

Teapotdespot · 05/08/2020 17:38

@Ltay2 I've drunk loads more than normal today which seems to have kept the cramps at bay.

My symptoms aren't much today, tiny bit of nausea and still just one extremely angry nipple Confused

RedJe55 · 05/08/2020 17:40

I also read that cold cabbage leaves from the fridge can provide sweet relief for sore scabby boobs.
mine just feel like someone is blowing up a balloon inside them, bra on day and night now

Teapotdespot · 05/08/2020 17:43

@RedJe55 does kale work? Grin

ohsotrying · 05/08/2020 17:44

It was meant to say fertile window ! I found my donor through a website called co parents but also looked on pride angle. I had to go though people who just wanted sex! Finally got a good donor but it was 5 hours away. It's weird to think I got pregnant using a calpol syringe ! And it worked first time I was very lucky.

Teapotdespot · 05/08/2020 17:54

@ohsotrying that’s amazing!! Extremely lucky and Calpol makes an excellent middle name (Calpolla for a girl?) Grin

RedJe55 · 05/08/2020 17:54

@Teapotdespot I don't see why not! Although might not be as soft as cabbage Smile

Teapotdespot · 05/08/2020 17:56

@RedJe55 I’ll never look the same way at a cabbage again Grin

RedJe55 · 05/08/2020 17:57

@ohsotrying That is really remarkable! Congratulations

Hannahsmummy2016 · 05/08/2020 21:18

Hi everyone 👋 would it be OK to join the group? I got my bfp last Tuesday and think my EDD is around 2nd/3rd April. This will be my third pregnancy, second baby after MMC in 2015. My little girl is 4. I thought I would feel a bit more relaxed this time round but I'm still so anxious and nervous about something going wrong. I've also booked an early scan hoping to put my mind at ease and finally stop peeing on sticks, no wonder I'm skint the amount of money I've spent on them in the last week 😂🙈 xx

calimommy · 05/08/2020 21:54

@Sals27 haha well I always wanted 4 but after my first I thought "god this parenting stuff is actually a bit shit" I had two difficult babies and my third was much easier. I'll see how this goes, I don't feel hugely positive about the pregnancy yet. If I have a good 8week scan I'll feel happy but I'm pretty tempered until then.
