Anyone else find out there due in April 2021. Just found out yesterday that's I'm pregnant with our first baby, we only started trying about 6/7weeks ago so this has been the best news ever. Would love to have some other mummies that are due around that same time to experience this with.

@Teapotdespot 😂and honestly being stuck in with the children 24/7 too. We've even started going camping to alleviate the tediousness of being home. And I'm not a natural camper. 😑

Teapotdespot · 07/08/2020 18:44

@calimommy we just got into the habit of a midday quickie BlushGrin

Hi everyone, Can I join?

Due around 13th April with No. 2!

Found out I was pregnant last Monday (after a 6 hour car trip where I felt suspiciously motion sick for me). Been trying 2 cycles and were completely shocked BFP has happened so quickly for us this time! With DS (2 in September) it took just over a year!

Not many symptoms yet, a bit nauseous (but that's been partly due to work stress for weeks/months) and a bit dizzy when I stand up sometimes!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and not feeling the first trimester symptoms too bad yet!

BirthdayKake · 08/08/2020 08:15

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been on for a while.

I had some spotting which terrified me tbh because I had a miscarriage in 2018. My GP got me in straight away with the EPAU who scanned me on Wednesday.

I was spot on with my dates (more 5 weeks than 6) so they saw a gestational sac and yolk sac but no baby yet... I'm back on the 19th for another scan. But ever since the scan my spotting has stopped (touch wood) and my sickness has kicked in!! So I'm feeling hopeful.

We just self refer here (near Grimsby!). The midwife rang me back within two hours and booked in my booking appointment for the 18th, which is my 2nd wedding anniversary, cute!

Hope everyone is okay x

Nichelette · 08/08/2020 08:36

@Teapotdespot on the one hand I did say that to my husband, not sure I believe it though with all the couples at home still. I'm definitely asking when I get to see someone lol. We're south east so loads of people here anyway.

@Tiff94 thanks :)

Went to bed really early as I was so tired and have woken up with back ache. Lovely!

Tiff94 · 08/08/2020 08:56

@JellyBellySmith I know what you mean about the car sickness the week I implanted (not knowing I had ) everytime I went I. The car I felt sick I ended up testing couples days after that when I got my bfp.) now every time I'm in the car I feel sick with every movement.

@BirthdayKake hope all goes well for your next scan. Got my fingers crossed for you. Funny enough our 2nd 2nd wedding anniversary is 18 too we have too haha we enloped here in the uk on 4 July then went to Australia and had a big wedding ceremony/party on the 18 August haha 😂

@Tiff94 aww how strange! We wanted a memorable date so 18.8.18 it was :) and my last baby was born on 4th July 2019!

How are people coping with the nausea? It's just so consuming... I don't want to end up depressed about it all again!

Tiff94 · 08/08/2020 09:58

@BirthdayKake literally we choose that date because of it being 18.08.18 haha 😂 I find this so funny. We celebrate on the 4th but always have a nice dinner or something for the 18th too.
Nausea has been a killer for me. I've been eating ginger biscuits and drinks anything with ginger (ice tea juice) my mum tells me to try eating before getting out of bed sometimes that's hard to do.

Hi all, I had a scan today and I have a gestational sac in the right place, I’m being scanned again next Saturday :)

Tiff94 · 08/08/2020 15:57

@Teapotdespot so happy to hear for you I'm sure next scan you will hear the heart beat

Ltay2 · 08/08/2020 18:37

@Teapotdespot Aww glad your scan went well!

My CB digi tests arrived today so did one and it showed 2-3 weeks which is good, it's reassured me for now. Going to wait until next weekend and try again to hopefully see the 3+ weeks.

Feeling so tired today, don't think the heat is helping. Already had one nap and feel like I need another 😂

Verybookish · 09/08/2020 15:08

@Tiff94 & @calimommy thanks for your lovely reassuring messages and Apologies for the long silence. My first two pregnancies were indeed boys so the difference in symptoms might be that it’s a girl this time!)

I am 6+6 today. EDD 1. April. Symptoms still on the mild side (though have a bonus new symptom: I have developed an allergy to my favourite ring!) and sort of come and go. My first scan (17th september) feels AGES away. I have never had a private scan but I am sorely tempted to have one now!

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 15:16

@Verybookish I have mine coming up Thursday I can't wait for it haha I think that will put my mind to ease and the actual reality of this will sink in

OP posts:
calimommy · 09/08/2020 15:43

@Verybookish I'm 6+2 due the 2nd how are you due the 1st? 😂 I'll have to recheck my app now haha
Symptom spotting is for the birds I've decided. This was also the first pregnancy I didn't test until AF day because I was certain we didn't get it that month. Normally I have a good idea if I'm pregnant or not and I test a good few days ahead of AF. I felt nothing this time. Also last time my symptoms were the strongest of all my pregnancies and I lost that so I feel a bit meh about it all now. I'll book my scan this week and I'll probably have it 24/25 August.
Where we live the children start school on Wednesday this week so I'm waiting with baited breath to see how the distance learning works out this time. I'm anxious af about it as it was a shit show last time but they've promised that this experience will be entirely different... 🤞

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 15:57

@calimommy that's funny I'm 6+1 due 4th crazy how the dates work out. what date Was your last AF

OP posts:
calimommy · 09/08/2020 16:00

Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 16:26

@calimommy I'm 28 June 1 day apart yet we are due two days apart what day did you ovulate I'm curious I was on CD 12

OP posts:
Tiff94 · 09/08/2020 16:33

@calimommy I just checked my due date from ovulation and I'm due on 2nd but with last AF I'm due 4th one says I'm 6+1 the other says on 6+2 very confusing I'm curious what dates my midwife and Thursdays scan will give me

Cmini · 09/08/2020 16:50

Please can I join? Got a very unexpected and unplanned bfp on Tuesday. Had what I thought was a very light AF for a few days from the 24th July but didn't really progress. Didn't think much of it. I'm 41, and I've been thinking I was peri-menopausal for a while! My cycle has been all over the place. Don't even know what possessed me to test but got a really strong line instantly so have spent the last few days in shock. Thinking about it, I had the same bleeding in both of my other pregnancies.

Nausea has kicked in big time today. I suffered all the way through with the last two so I'm totally dreading it. Especially with nosy 4 and 7 year olds around.

Due date according to Ovia app is 4/4 and I'm supposedly 6 weeks today.

Cmini · 09/08/2020 16:58

I've not referred to the midwife yet. I had a look online and it says not to until you are at least 6 weeks here. According to when I think I must have ovulated (must have been early-we only DTD twice, soon after my AF) that's today but in a classic 28 day cycle it's Wednesday so I'm going to wait until then.

calimommy · 09/08/2020 17:23

@Tiff94 10th July. It all works out regardless haha and the scans may change dates here and there. I was just surprised when I saw such a stark difference. At the start everyday makes a difference (or so it feels) whereas later on not so much!

calimommy · 09/08/2020 17:25

On another note, whenever people are happy to do so we can switch over to FB. Its much easier to chat and follow chat threads that way. I still have great friends from my last group and it's lovely to see the babies/toddlers change.

Sals27 · 09/08/2020 17:32

@calimommy It's a bit early for me just yet for FB but I'm definitely up for FB in a few weeks if all is well. I'm still in my Sept 18 baby FB group that started on here and it's lovely

calimommy · 09/08/2020 17:36

@Sals27 oh that's fine I'm a bit the same. Just wanted to float the idea especially for people who might not know that often the groups switch over. FB is sort of the devil but these groups are fab. 🙈😂
