Anyone else find out there due in April 2021. Just found out yesterday that's I'm pregnant with our first baby, we only started trying about 6/7weeks ago so this has been the best news ever. Would love to have some other mummies that are due around that same time to experience this with.

@Tiff94

Hey ladies so happy for your BFP how are you all feeling so far ? I've been nauseous last few days In the morning and afternoon and feeling sensation in my stomach like stitches and pulling feelings
I'm feeling hopeful that I won't get morning sickness, my mum and my sister didn't. Right now I'm just knackered, occasionally dizzy, and getting a lot of twinges in my uterus... stitches and pulling feeling is exactly right!
prettygirlincrimsonrose · 28/07/2020 16:29

Can I join? 4 weeks (due 3rd April) and 2nd baby, DS is 2 and a half. Had a miscarriage at 11 weeks last time (March) and with uncertainty of covid etc as well just not feeling the same excitement - mainly nervous and stressed (and very tired!). This is what we want but I wish it felt less complicated.

@RedJe55 I had similar to my mum last time and didn't have morning sickness so fingers crossed for you. What do you usually drink? Can you take pre-mixed drinks that are just mixers or non-alcoholic versions of beer, wine etc (and stick to your own drinks because of covid)

RedJe55 · 29/07/2020 09:40

@prettygirlincrimsonrose I think I'm gonna be taking alco free beer, just tonic (but with ice and lemon) and maybe tomato juice for the (virgin) mary's in the morning - i think my friends are planning for this to be a boozy holiday so might also have to say I'm on antibiotics!

I'm also not feeling excited yet, I feel like getting pregnant was too easy so something has to go wrong...

Tiff94 · 29/07/2020 10:12

@RedJe55 don't think like that you should always think positive. I'm sure everything b will work out fine xx

Hi all

@prettygirlincrimsonrose I've just got my BFP this morning, also due 3 April (though likely to change as that's based on LMP and I have a slightly longer cycle), also had a loss in April at 11 weeks. Feeling very nervous but hopeful 🤞 Best of luck to all for healthy pregnancies.

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 29/07/2020 11:13

@RedJe55 I remember thinking like that with DS. I'd stopped taking the pill but I'd been on it for years so I thought it would take my body a bit of time to adjust - got pregnant immediately and it didn't feel real until I saw the scan. Try and look after yourself and get plenty of rest, it's hard not to worry but if you just take it one day at a time hopefully that'll help. Hope you have a good week with your friends x

RedJe55 · 29/07/2020 11:45

Thank you @Tiff94 and @prettygirlincrimsonrose
Just had my first chat with the maternity service in my town so all feeling a bit more real!

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 29/07/2020 16:42

Good luck @ellenpartridge, I think it's going to be tough until the first scan.

How are you all coping with the tiredness? Forgot how wiped out I get at this stage but could quite happily have a nap most days!

calimommy · 29/07/2020 21:25

@RedJe55 re the camping and drinking tbh they will sniff it straight away. I don't bother doing the pantomime drinking/antibiotics stuff anymore. If they are kind friends they will suspect but say nothing and if they are annoying they will suspect and try to force you to drink/'confess'. It boils my blood when people do that but even good friends can be incredibly thoughtless. I just tell people, I'm not drinking because I'm pregnant but it's early days so I don't want to talk about it, and that usually parks the conversation.
Only last weekend we were at friends for a bbq. I was driving -like, one of us has to, car seats etc, so it's not a huge surprise that one of us was not drinking. She knows my history with losses etc and she's been through years and years of IVF herself, but she still pushed and pushed me to have a drink, have a sip here and here, and winking making me feel so awkward. I had only found out the day before for fucks sake, I was still getting used to it myself. Anyho she eventually just asked me "calimommy are you pregnant?" I said yeah but early so I don't want to discuss it. But I'm still angry with her now for making it so difficult. Anyho! I'm probably mostly tired and nauseated and anxious about the homeschooling which starts in two weeks for us 😭

calimommy · 29/07/2020 21:27

@ellenpartridge hullo my dear also had recent loss so hoping this is my rainbow baby. May at 10 weeks.
I have three DC already and one of those is a rainbow baby too x

Tiff94 · 30/07/2020 07:07

@prettygirlincrimsonrose I know I feel so exhausted but very single day even when I wake up feel like I haven't slept all night. Very tired 💤

@calimommy that's so awkward, I hate it when people are like that about drinking! Sending you good vibes for a healthy pregnancy after your loss 🌈

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 30/07/2020 08:19

Aww @Tiff94. My memory is that it does get better but obviously people talk about morning sickness and I'm not sure I was ready to mainly feel shattered.

RedJe55 · 30/07/2020 09:02

@calimommy that sounds like hard work, I thought the polite thing was to just notice and say nothing! A few years ago my sister "outed" one of our friends to the whole pub at Christmas, we all had to have words with her afterwards that there is a time period for keeping shtum.
The trip is with friends and people I don't know, I'm tempted to just tell my friend so she doesn't make it awkward, I have a feeling after a few glasses of wine she might start demanding to know sigh.

calimommy · 30/07/2020 14:57

@RedJe55 people seem to think it is their mystery to solve. No it's not. I'm actually one of those people who don't believe in the 12 week rule (what rule btw, nothing magic happens at 12 + 1) because I've had three losses and afterwards always felt so sad that no one knew so it was like it never happened and didn't matter. But that doesn't mean I think it is other people's decision on when I share my news. I usually wait till 8 weeks and if I have a good scan at that point then I'm much more casual about who I tell. Anyho! Sorry for ranting 🤪

RedJe55 · 30/07/2020 18:19

@calimommy it's been an enlightening rant! Thank you. I think I need more people to know, because if it does all go to shit I can be miserable with my friends as well as DP (he is being very cautious, not even told his parents)... It's not really in my nature to keep secrets Hmm

Tiff94 · 30/07/2020 18:36

Ah it's so weird! I felt so sick yesterday, put it down to too much sun and today woken up feeling rubbish again! Shouldn't complain I know, but still not enjoying this nausea haha. Hope you feel better soon as well xx

Tiff94 · 01/08/2020 12:16

@Ashlee0304 yeah I'm still so nauseous and now my nipples have started hurting like crazy and so hard and tender never felt like this before.

OP posts:
BirthdayKake · 01/08/2020 15:22

My nausea hasn't started yet, but usually does around 6-7 weeks, and is then horrific. I shouldn't wish it upon myself, but I'm so paranoid that I feel OK ish! I think I'm about 4+5

Tiff94 · 01/08/2020 15:36

@BirthdayKake I'm 5 weeks today and my nausea been horrific since last week. Feel awful half the time now.

calimommy · 01/08/2020 15:37

While I'm waking every morning I think "calimommy why did you drink so much last night?" And then I remembered of course I didn't drink last night this is just how I feel 24/7 now 😂😭

Tiff94 · 01/08/2020 15:42

@calimommy I know exactly what you mean I barely finish a glass of water and I need to pee. Waking up 2/3 time through the night normally would be early hours of the morning if not at all.
