Im really struggling with tiredness and working long hours from home. Sitting at a makeshift desk is killing me. I want to bring my end date forward but my work are lukewarm about it as there alot of people on hols when id want to finish but i really am struggling! X

Laura1348 · 21/07/2020 13:42

I'm trying really hard not to nap so
I sleep at night! Painful legs are keeping me up!

Anyone looked into child benefit/ tax credits yet?

Cheers

ChipsAreLife · 21/07/2020 13:59

Bless you @Emmy2020 just keep an eye on breathlessness and mention to midwife.

I'm with you all on feeling knackered. I'm sleeping pretty well but my three year old is waking up at 5 and is a killer! I actually went back to bed at 8 and DH woke me up at 10!!! Thank god I work for myself lol.

Anyone else getting heartburn? Mine is bloody awful. Need to eat little and often and not late apparently. Just chowing down the gaviscon.

I had a nappy bin but rarely used it just used to run them to the black bin which i moved right by the back utility door so I didn't even have to step foot outside 😆

Ah love the talk of spa days and breaks. We were meant to be in France this week 😢 we've been looking at getting away but everything is booked and so think we will just do lots of nice day trips. Going to book a pregnancy massage for sure. Had them in my previous pregnancies and they are lovely!!!

I know @Lilice it was more just an excuse for us to all meet up and drink fizz / eat cake! Although me and my pregnant mate were on the fizzy water 😆

@emma278 I am also finding sitting at a desk for long work hours torturous! I have taken to spending some of the day sitting on my exercise ball instead of a chair. That is slightly more comfortable until my ab/back muscle get fatigued from holding myself upright. I am also getting up and walking around the house every chance I have, and have started taking some of my meetings sitting on the floor with my laptop on the sofa for a change of position!
Tiredness is also becoming an issue again for me too. Which delightfully means I am getting less work done for the amount of time I spend at my uncomfortable desk! Pregnancy is some kind of cruel joke haha

NeuroMama · 21/07/2020 15:32

@ChipsAreLife yes to the heartburn/acid reflux! I have been getting it since start of second trimester (just as the nausea eased!) but it is getting worse and worse now as the space for food runs out more. I am doing the same as you - just chowing down on antacids and gaviscon, and trying to eat little and often. I am finding most days I am ok in the morning and it slowly ramps and is worst in the evening time. I am probably eating things that are exasperating it, but I am too tired and busy to try and work out what that might be! And actually last weekend I ate almost identical things on both days and one day it was ok and the other I felt like I might corrode through, so maybe there is no rhythm or reason to it.

ShiningStarz · 21/07/2020 15:38

@MooseWL that sounds like a really nice trip. I'v been pricing hotels but it's stupid expensive!! Almost double what it should be!!

@LatteLover12 I'm worried it'll be a waste buying one but I also don't want to be going out each time especially when it's chillier with the nappies. Although maybe just get an ordinary bin and then that can be emptied daily 🤔

I'v booked in for a pregnancy package in mid aug. It's a mini facial, shoulder back massage and pedicure. They are fully equipped and I am not worried, I purposely booked it for when 36 weeks so not too early or too close to EDD!!

Keep an eye on that @Emmy2020 I get breathlessness when out walking but ok at rest. Mention it to your clinic. No harm.

I sleep ok but wake at around 5am!! A 3pm nap for me too most days!

@Lilice which one are you getting?

Iheardit · 21/07/2020 17:00

Hello everyone, due 19th September. Feeling the exhaustion and heartburn like others have mentioned.

ShiningStarz · 21/07/2020 17:12

Congrats and welcome @Iheardit 💜

mamamemmmer · 21/07/2020 17:20

Hi!

I'm due early October but I couldn't find a thread and you never know, I could be early and join the September club!

How is everyone getting on?

Xxx

ShiningStarz · 21/07/2020 17:35

Congrats @mamamemmmer welcome to the group!!

I just got weak and bought the angel care nappy bin from Argos!! It was £27.99 for the bin and 1 cassette. Amazon have 6 cassettes for £25 so will stock up on those 🙈

ShiningStarz · 21/07/2020 17:36

Actually £27.99 for the bin and 4 cassettes

Emmy2020 · 21/07/2020 19:04

Glad I’m not the only one! I spent today walking round town feeling out of breath! Had a nice nap outside though on a blanket 😁
Got my 31 week scan tomorrow!

Emmy2020 · 21/07/2020 19:10

@ShiningStarz I will mention it, thank you x

LatteLover12 · 21/07/2020 19:23

@shiningstarz your pregnancy package sounds fab!

I called the place I was hoping to go for a massage this morning and they're not even doing them at the minute! Onto plan b!

MooseWL · 21/07/2020 19:24

@chipsarelife @neuromama @lheardit yes to the heartburn. when I'm hungry sometime when I'm full, when I lie down, definitely when I hang upside down in a yoga class! I've never had it before being pregnant and it's horrible!

@laura1348 I've not looked into child benefit, I'm assuming you have to fill in something to claim it might have a look online later.

My furniture came today but the cot only has part 1 of 2 boxes 🙄 need to chase them up and find where the rest is!! Excited to get it built though, the boxes are SO heavy!

ShiningStarz · 21/07/2020 19:47

@Emmy2020 I have a scan tomorrow too , 33 weeks :)
Enjoy xx

Lilice · 21/07/2020 20:03

MooseWL · 21/07/2020 20:57

@shiningstarz it's me with the bathroom - booked in for first week in September when I'm 36 weeks! Yes think we're bonkers but I'll be so glad when it's done and out of the way. How many weeks will you be when yours is being done?

ShiningStarz · 21/07/2020 21:00

@MooseWL sorry I couldn't think who it was!!
Snap!! I'll be 36 weeks and 38 when it's all completed. Omg!!!
We have the en-suite so if anything happens it just pauses!! Fingers crossed will all be ok tho!!

Laura1348 · 21/07/2020 21:05

@MooseWL thanks- I'm probs a bit early to the game!

Anyone else feel like their bumps got smaller? I'm 33 weeks and up until
