@Laura1348 next do up to 1 months! Totally confused me tho!! Had to unpack all the bags this evening and look at the weights!! 🙈

ShiningStarz · 18/07/2020 21:58

That's really helpful @Lazydaisydaydream thank you.
I was thinking 0-3 would be huge!
I'v 3 individual brows in NB and 1 pack of 7 sleeveless vests. I did buy 5 plain white gred in NB but may not ease these just incase little one is straight into up to 1 month. Thanks xx

ShiningStarz · 18/07/2020 21:59

Brows ! i meant sleep suits

Lilice · 18/07/2020 22:16

I would also pack a mix of newborn and up to 1 month. Better taking more than not enough. Im just 30 weeks and will start washing baby's clothes next weekend, so excited !

rhia22 · 18/07/2020 23:20

does anybody else find those graphs where they specify what the baby needs to sleep in for what temp really stressful and confusing?! i've put a gro egg on my registry hopefully get some peace of mind about it hahaha

Laura1348 · 19/07/2020 08:17

@rhia22 I'm not sure of the graph you mean- I've not seen one.
I purchased two gro swaddles for night time and they come with this on the label. It's clear and attached to the gro egg colours.

@rhia22 this is what is on the gro egg packaging.
Roxy shared this too a while ago which I saved!
If anyone is interested I bought these Hangers off amazon, they are all white and hand perfectly in little ones wardrobe.

Totally think I'v jinxed myself !!! Told the midwife and consultant I felt so good few weeks ago!!! Full Of energy, out power walking!! Sleeping great!!

Well fast forward 2 weeks and I'm sore sleeping, hips, cramps, lower back, I walk soooo slow and I morn and groan a lot !!!

Wouldn't have it any other way but if someone asked me now when did I start feeling it, the answer is from 30 weeks!!!!🙈

OrDis · 19/07/2020 09:09

Think I might have had some Braxton Hicks last night but not sure. Does this sound like Braxton Hicks to anyone? It was sort of like a stitch feeling right across my abdomen level with my belly button. A little painful but easy enough to ignore if you spoke through it. Happened when I was lying in bed so after a while (probably only like a minute) I sat up and that made it go away?

Laura1348 · 19/07/2020 11:22

Hello again all! Sorry for the many questions- does anyone have any advice on battery tea lights or room sprays for birthing environment?
Thanks all
Have a lovely weekend

Lilice · 19/07/2020 12:06

@Laura1348 with my first i packed some battery tea lights but they never left the bag haha! I was already 7 cm when i got to the hospital so didn't really care anymore. What i found useful though, was to bring my own cd with my favourite music. The midwife got us a cd player and it was nice to have some music in the background. I didn't have any room spray, but that sounds lovely. Are we allowed to use them?

MooseWL · 19/07/2020 12:32

@laura1348 check your birthing centre or labour ward as well. The midwife led centre where I'm hoping to give birth has supplies of them and sensory lighting in the room etc. Sounds really nice!

Laura1348 · 19/07/2020 15:17

@MooseWL will do- good idea thanks and anything to save a few pounds would be lovely.

@Lilice I hope mine is nice and quick- at least I can use them another time 😂

ShiningStarz · 19/07/2020 17:06

@Laura1348 I'm planning on spraying lavender pillow spray on my own pillow which I'll have with me!! Read that's supposed to be calming !!

Laura1348 · 19/07/2020 18:26

@ShiningStarz that's a good idea. Was hoping to take/use clary sage too as that's supposed to help.

liquoricecravings · 19/07/2020 19:16

Hi all,

I'd like to join you. I'm due on the 9th September with our first baby and we don't know if it's a boy or a girl 💛.

I've been pretty cautious with going out too and have enjoyed being able to work from home.

The baby things have started to arrive and the nursery furniture will be delivered on Thursday. It's beginning to feel more real now that the house has baby items in it. Of course, my ever growing bump is also reminding me that the baby is due soon!

WillowT · 19/07/2020 19:49

Welcome @liquoricecravings

We ventured to ikea today for a final few bits...it was awful!! We have most the furniture, just need to collect the cot then I think we are there! Still so much other stuff to buy though.

I agree, starting to feel more real that in about 9 weeks, there'll be a little person with us!!

Sorry, I don't know why that was posted twice!

ShiningStarz · 19/07/2020 20:35

Congrats @liquoricecravings and welcome to the group!! My EDD is 9th Sept too and we don't know if we are team blue or pink!!

ShiningStarz · 19/07/2020 20:38

Hey @Sara7455 how are you and wren keeping? Hope all is going well x

ChipsAreLife · 19/07/2020 21:10

@OrDis that does like Braxton hicks. Mine feel very right at the top of my bump, my bump goes very hard. I sometimes get period cramps/ back ache too. I tend to get loads close together normally when I've overdone it, I find a bath stops mine.

I've not stopped today and am now shattered. I hate this as I want to really sort my house, it's not that bad but I like things organised and tidy and I run out of steam!

I need to sit and sort through what I've got and what I need to buy. Re clothes my girls were both quite big 8.9/8.10. They were in newborn as they're quite scrunched up to start. Dd 2 was really long too. I would get some newborn and up to one month to last you a week or two. It's so bloody confusing though! X
