Thanks @Bubble29 I'll have a look at that!!
I'v had a really bad experience with second hand furniture! Basically setting off my dust mite allergy!! Later found out it had been used and sold on numerous times. I think I'll stick to new this time but you bar should be ok.

Thanks @ChipsAreLife I'll look at that one, think it comes in polyester and cotton 👍👍 natural baby shower usually good with giving 10% so hopefully get it from them. Going into town now and will see if mamas and papas have the joie sansa to check out our before finally decide xx

@Laura1348 we got a groegg this week I plugged it in our bedroom out of interest as I’m always hot and our bedroom is at constant 23/24 windows are constantly open now to get the temp down! It’s good to know as hard to gauge sometimes. Any recommendations on maternity bras? I looked on m&s but few had bad reviews so not sure where else is best? I’m an F cup normally so will need to be for bigger busts.

CNovittBolden · 18/07/2020 09:56

@Sep20baby I've bought all of mine from www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk and they've been really good! Not too expensive either which helps.

Do you all recommend the gro egg? I've been looking at it too.

Laura1348 · 18/07/2020 10:16

@Sep20baby thanks. I did have a tommee tippiee star but you have to tap that. I liked the idea of seeing it ASAP.
Nursing bra- I'm going to bravissimo in a few weeks (I think they say week 36 to get it) as they are rally good fir bigger boobs.
@CNovittBolden if you are looking for gro egg 2- cheapest I found was Argos. 22.99.
Gro egg one was cheapest on amazon at 12.99+ postage but free with prime.

Sep20baby · 18/07/2020 10:43

@CNovittBolden I got the standard groEgg from amazon. Link www.amazon.co.uk/Company-Groegg-Colour-Changing-Thermometer/dp/B002B55BN8?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

But my friend who has a toddler says it’s just as good as the GroEgg2 they both do the same.

Thanks for the tips on nursing bras will look at both. @Laura1348 didn’t think of going there will have a look. I think it’s just nursing bras and pjs now left to get for my hospital bag

ShiningStarz · 18/07/2020 10:49

@Sep20baby I saw some
On M&s that are more like crop tops with the nursing click straps. I'm a DD so I'm
Looking for something with fuller coverage too so they stay in lol

Lazydaisydaydream · 18/07/2020 11:26

We don't have a gro egg, we just have a thermometer which measures highest and lowest temperatures over a 24 hour period and a humidity meter. I find that way more helpful as can see if I need to run the dehumidifier and how cold it gets overnight etc to help me set the heating. The baby monitor has a thermometer in it as well so can always see what the current temperature is in there.

ChipsAreLife · 18/07/2020 13:29

@Sep20baby I've always waited till my milk came in to get maternity bras. They're expensive but also it's really important they're comfy! I'm just going to use sports bras that I can pull down easily and also just sit in vests in the day at home.

If you wanted to get one before I found John Lewis really helpful, I don't think they're measuring at the moment but I'm sure they can help!

I got a groegg a few weeks ago. Plugged it in during the heatwave to see how hot in was in our room. MISTAKE!!! It was like 29 degrees!! No idea how to get the temp down, even having the windows open all night makes no difference. Even now it’s saying its about 23 degrees- serves us right for buying a three story new build and living on the top floor, it’s so much warmer up there!

Lilice · 18/07/2020 14:44

Hi everyone, hope you're all okay. I've added the groegg2 to my wish list.

I need to get a bath thermometer. Any recommendations?

Laura1348 · 18/07/2020 14:52

@Lilice I got this one- not use it yet but you can just chuck it in.

Lilice · 18/07/2020 14:55

@Laura1348 looks very nice! Can you use it for checking the room temperature too?

Lilice · 18/07/2020 14:56

@Laura1348 lol sorry i just read the name of the product and answered my own question 🙈🤣

Laura1348 · 18/07/2020 15:01

@Lilice no worries- we did intend to use this for bath and room but when in the room it goes off and you have to tap it to see the temp.
I've just got a grow egg 2 to make the temp much clearer.

Lilice · 18/07/2020 15:02

Yes sounds wise @Laura1348 i think ill probably do the same as you

Lilice · 18/07/2020 15:22

Ive bought these nursing bras on amazon.
www.amazon.co.uk/Rovtop-Maternity-Breast-Feeding-Extra-Wide-Underband/dp/B081YXV4QT?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
I didn't want to spend a lot as i expect my boobs to change again after the birth, but these seem very comfortable and flexible. I have space to grow in them if needed. Comes with free nursing pads and pieces to extend (sorry dont know what they are called lol)

Emmy2020 · 18/07/2020 17:07

I’ve booked a 2 night break with my best friend to Cardiff (as we had to cancel our May birthday weekend to Edinburgh)! So going in 3 weeks. I will be 33 weeks pregnant. Hoping the baby won’t arrive that early!😂 might have to take my notes with me just in case haha!

ShiningStarz · 18/07/2020 18:36

They are great value @Lilice I bought ones from new look cause they looked reasonable but I itched like mad while wearing them!! I though it was me and boob changed but this shiny stretchy fabric one I got from M&s is so comfortable. I think I need either 100% cotton or a sports type fabric. Itchy boobs are not pleasant hahah!!!

ShiningStarz · 18/07/2020 18:38

@Lilice @Laura1348 I actually bought that one for water bath temperature and then bought the gro egg 2 for room temp. Prob overkill but figured the gro would also function as a night light!!

I'v a scan this wed (33 weeks) then plan to start washing things and packing mine and babies bag. I still
Don't know whether to wake the newborn, up to 1 month or 0-3 clothes yet!!! When will
I know ?! Lol

MooseWL · 18/07/2020 20:13

Do I need to know how hot the bedroom is? I feel so clueless!

I saw my nan today for the first time since March. She was like oooh you're really packing on the pounds now aren't you I bet you're carrying a lot of water 😂 I don't even think I'm that big 😂

Piper1879 · 18/07/2020 20:24

Hi all spent most of today sleeping !! Not getting much sleep these days !!

@Shiningstarz yes twice and negative both times , I think I'll ask my midwife again to check me !

Laura1348 · 18/07/2020 21:01

@ShiningStarz
I've packed newborn and 0-3 just in case. I'm 33 weeks today and just done my first wash of baby clothes 😬
@MooseWL yes you should know the room temp to help with what to put them in to sleep etc so they don't get too hot.

ShiningStarz · 18/07/2020 21:29

Thanks @Laura1348 I have newborn (7lbs), up to 1 month (10lbs) and 0-3 (14lbs)!!!
How confusing lol

I haven't washed anything yet, was going to wait until nearer 36 weeks to do baby clothes. As I'v gestational diabetes I get scanned every 2 weeks so iv scan at 33, 34, 36 and hoping to get an idea of the weight at those appts 🤔

Must pack my bag next weekend!! How exciting!!

Lazydaisydaydream · 18/07/2020 21:51

@ShiningStarz I found when my son was newborn the weight didn't really correlate to the size, he was 8lbs 5 and wore newborn babygrows as anything else swamped him! Planning on packing mix of newborn and up to 1 month this time.

Laura1348 · 18/07/2020 21:52

@ShiningStarz I didn't know up to 1 month existed! 😬 oh well🤷‍♀️
