Hello, just catching up on the chat! Regarding end of August babies, my birthday is 25th August and I was one of the youngest in my year and there were about 3 of us with similar birthdays. I don’t feel I was behind at all during primary or secondary school my grades were in fact better than my school friend who was the eldest in the year! the only time it was a bummer was when the elder ones turned 18 so were out going to bars/clubs and I had to wait to join them ha ha!

Piper1879 · 14/07/2020 19:18

Hi all just catching up ! I've been in and out again with reduced movements and not been sleeping well so finally catching up on sleep which has been great. I've booked another 4D scan for tomorrow , excited to see him again 💕 hope everyone is doing well ?
Debating on whether to order a cot bed or leave it until he's here , what have others been doing ?

@Emmy2020 I'm thinking about going for a baby Bjorn

ShiningStarz · 14/07/2020 20:18

Hope everything is ok @Piper1879 I'v been lying here a while to get my little one to move and finally!! Hope she sleep this well when she's out lol
The baby bjorn bouncer has really good reviews. I'm torn between a few different ones!! All over £100 too 😩

Laura1348 · 14/07/2020 21:12

Can anyone recommend a hypnobirthing playlist? I have Spotify.
Thanks

Bubble29 · 14/07/2020 22:25

@ShiningStarz @Laura1348 I managed to pick up a Baby Bjorn on FB market place for £50 including the toy bar. It's in excellent conditionals I'm really happy with it. I couldn't face paying full price knowing most people have said they've only use them for 6 months or so! I know I'll be able to resell it after too.

Emmy2020 · 14/07/2020 22:47

Thanks @Piper1879 And hope all is okay? I went into hospital on Sunday evening as had a bit of spotting they saw me straight away and were very good I was there hour and a half while they did all the checks, baby was very active! So still not sure what caused spotting but could be just one of those things. Emotional day today, my youngest finished primary today. She’s been so upset thinking that she will never go to that school again. Hate seeing her so upset.

MooseWL · 15/07/2020 08:14

@piper1879 have they said everything is okay with the movements?
@laura1348 what do you want on it? Music or meditations? I've made my own with about 4 hours of zen songs! Can share a link if you want some ideas!

NeuroMama · 15/07/2020 08:15

I also picked up a baby Bjorn bouncer on FB market place a lot cheaper than new. I've heard raving review but like with all this stuff I'm so reluctant to spend lots in case my baby is the exception and hates it haha

Laura1348 · 15/07/2020 08:26

@MooseWL I think just zen music would be great. Yes please to the link.
I'm just starting out with it.
Bit confused by it all: Watched Suffolk babies version, and read positive birth company book- got their affirmation mp3 so going to start listening to that.
Sorry fir the ramble 🙈🙈

ShiningStarz · 15/07/2020 08:49

Great idea @Laura1348 to start thinking about it!! I haven't 🙈 probably should!! Have you asked what you are allowed to bring into hospital?? I read an article recommending lavender spray/oils. I have a spray which I plan to put on my own pillow. Also read about battery powered candles??
Must ask midwife if policy changed due to covid.
For those that have been there before? Is the above the last stuff on your mind lol or will it really help?!

32 weeks today!! I'v a scan next wed. Plan to start some washing baby bits after that and pack my hospital bag :)

MooseWL · 15/07/2020 08:50

@laura1348 I'm still working my way through the PBC digital packs. Some of it is defo not for me (I do yoga and have tried meditations before and I just can't deal with them!) but I love the breathing techniques and the science and the whole part about relaxed environment to aid progression etc.
open.spotify.com/playlist/01JV2EafOXwiBYrrUfARIm?si=E_OnYLfAT7uZ_36AuVkWTQ
That's the one I've started making with lots of chilled music on 😌

Lazydaisydaydream · 15/07/2020 08:58

@Bubble29 yes the toy bar is great! We bought my sons baby Bjorn and toy bar on facebook and then sold it when he was finished with it for not much less than we had bought it for!

MooseWL · 15/07/2020 09:10

@emmy2020 that sounds scary glad everything is okay!

32 weeks sounds so close! I'm almost 30. Looking for a chair too so might look on ebay/fb, everything I've bought second hand has been great and saved so much. £150 is so expensive!

Laura1348 · 15/07/2020 09:29

@MooseWL
Ahh thank you.
That's how I feel- the Suffolk babies video was a bit far out fir me but I'm going to try another.
I liked the PBC book so may go done that route- breathing/ affirmations etc.
Thanks for your help
Xx

Emmy2020 · 15/07/2020 13:38

Thank you @MooseWL

Lorna198 · 15/07/2020 16:18

Hi all. Been a while but I’ve been reading from a far! Not felt like I’ve had much to add as input 😂

I’ve just had a night in hospital as my blood pressure rocketed. Had a scan this morning (31 weeks +4). They said all was fine but baby still measuring small. Gone from 5th to 3rd percentile yet he said he was struggling to get measurements so not sure it’s entirely accurate so they’ve sent me home to go back Friday, Monday and Wednesday for a scan and bp check each time. Trying not to worry but panicking a little as well it’s all a bit much ya know ☹️ hopefully scans will continue to show healthy heartbeat and my bp stays stable!

Been given no medication and just told to rest so fingers crossed for Friday!

Hope everyone is doing well!

emma278 · 15/07/2020 16:42

Sending lots of love @Lorna198 am sure all is fine and great they are keeping on top of things xx

WillowT · 15/07/2020 17:46

@Lorna198 just wanted to send some love!! xx

Lorna198 · 15/07/2020 22:28

Thanks @WillowT and @emma278. They definitely seem to have me under control!

ShiningStarz · 16/07/2020 07:31

Hi @Lorna198 sending hugs too. My little one is measuring small too. I was told not to worry and that as long as they are on the growth curve it's fine. At 31 weeks I was measuring 29 and something!! Consultant wasn't worried at all, he said the EDD is just a guide and not to be fixated on. I hope they get the BP under control. 🤗

ShiningStarz · 16/07/2020 07:32

Ps @Lorna198 they are keeping a really close eye on you which is great and very reassuring xx

ShiningStarz · 16/07/2020 07:38

I booked a haircut and a pregnancy package at the beauticians - it includes a mini facial, back, neck and shoulder massage and luxury pedicure! It's not until 10th Aug but I'm so excited!! Haircut that week too!! Bliss 💜

MooseWL · 16/07/2020 07:40

@Lorna198 try not to worry too much it's good it's been caught and they're monitoring you closely. Hope the scans are okay.

I've been up all night with the worst shoulder pain, feels like I've trapped something sleeping on my side. I had it on the other side a few weeks ago but paracetamol took it off, but doesn't seem to be touching it today 😔 in absolute agony. Might try some yoga before work and see if it takes it off. Ohhhh pregnancy is such fun, I've been telling the baby off since 1.30am 🤣

Piper1879 · 16/07/2020 10:39

@Shiningstarz everything is ok , he's just so lazy 🙃 but midwives have told me to come in whenever.

I'm desperately hunting one on Facebook ! I think that's gonna be the one for me !

@Emmy2020 yes all good he's just a super lazy boy !!! Oh bless , I remember finishing primary school and being so upset too , must be different in this rubbish corona time. Glad you're all ok

@moosewl they're reasonably happy with his movements but I'm having regular growth scans every two weeks and weekly ctg monitoring , they're saying he'll be quite big as I'm 33 weeks now , and he's nearly 5lb , his stomach is on the 97th percentile

@lorna198 sending lots of love your way !

ShiningStarz · 16/07/2020 11:39

@Piper1879 did you ever get offered the gestational diabetes test? The tummy size is an indicator apparently
