I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

hi all, haven't been on much as just don't have the energy. ds is not sleeping well and i'm just so tired i'm on the verge of tears all the time. we're going to try changing his cot to a bed and moving it so his head isn't near all the noise of the street, but it's a small room and not too sure how it's going to work. i'm feeling slightly insane and just trying to hold on to my emotions which are all over the place.

i'm also thinking about taking him to a cranial osteopath, anyone have experience with this?

josey your symptoms sound exactly like me with ds - my skin and hair were appalling the whole time. this time around both are quite bearable - almost normal - so i'm wondering if maybe it's a girl this time...

sophiewd · 30/10/2007 08:51

DD had cranial oesteopathy when whe was a few weeks old as ahe was suffering a bit from colic, we also changed her formula at that time so don't know whuch helped more.

emotionalwreck · 30/10/2007 09:30

dylansluckymum I put my DD in a bed about a month ago (she was 22 months then) - we had a few unsettled nights but now she sleeps in it really well. She's also in a small room which is on a fairly busy road - I also found I was wrapping her up too well at night and she was too hot!

Sleep deprivation at this stage is crippling - I've been found at my desk crying 4 times in the last month due to exhaustion! And I'm a community nurse and I've been throwing up in patients homes - not good. Try and hold on to the thought that you won't feel like this forever! The good times are just around the corner...........

goingfor3 · 30/10/2007 11:05

Morning ladies,

I had my scan this morning and saw the baby kicking and moving it's arms around like crazy! The baby is growing as it should (I keep wanting to say he) and there were no signs of where the bleeding came from though to be on the safe side I have been told to double my progesterone dose. They have still kept the scan appointment for next week and I will see the consultant then too, I'm looking forward to seeing the baby again.

DLM - I totally feel for you on the sleepless nights. DD2 slept with dp and I until she was 2 1/2 and was breastfed until then too. One day I decided enough was enough and told her the milk had run out and put her in to a bed and she has slept really well ever since. Maybe heavy curtains if you don't already have them would block out some of the noise.

sophiewd · 30/10/2007 11:25

Fantastic news goingfor3 really happy for you

Rolf · 30/10/2007 13:36

I finally got round to calling the surgery today to arrange my booking-in appointment with the community midwife. I'm glad I did as it's not for another 3 weeks, by which time I'll (cross fingers!) be 11 weeks.

I took DD swimming today (we do waterbabies - it's wonderful) and I look so pregnant in my swimming costume. I felt very self-conscious about it and also about what it says about the state of my stomach muscles

superwitch · 30/10/2007 14:02

Hi all I'm still feeling like shit but trying to be more positive and am now making an effort to go out with ds every morning although still going back to bed every afternoon I can't wait for the next few weeks to be over when I will start to feel human again.
I booked my NT test today which is on the 26th November £200 - it had better be a good result!
I have no appetite and everything tastes crap even Marks and Spencer food
Over the last 2 days I have had a lot of aching and that heavy feeling you get before a period - is anyone else getting that or is it just me?
Also has anyone any recommendations for a double buggy I want something colourful!

Rolf · 30/10/2007 14:16

Superwitch - I have that feeling today, too. I seem to get it more when I'm tired.

ChinaSurprise · 30/10/2007 14:30

Well, I'm back with good news. My scan showed a heartbeat and a little wriggling. I'm 8 weeks too, which is more than I thought.
They did tell me I have a bicornate uterus (ie heart shaped) and a bit of endometrial reaction (I think that's what she said) in the side the baby isn't in, which I guess is what caused the slight bleeding.
Have to go back in a couple of weeks for another scan to be safe but I know I'll sleep better tonight.
Going to the hosp made me think even more about having a HB though, as the place is as grim as I remember!

goingfor3 · 30/10/2007 14:48

Happy to hear your good news China!

josey · 30/10/2007 14:55

G43 and China really please for you both.

Im so sad and down today my puppy who isnt even 6 months old yet had an x-ray today and he has to have a full hip replacement as the socket hasnt formed so there is no where for his hip to sit now Im not aloud to walk him or anything just now, It was the one thing that made me feel human!

Poor puppy - I hope he is gonna be okay, when will the op be?

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 30/10/2007 15:14

G43 & China - I'm so pleased you both had good scans. I'm dreading mine on Friday, how I'd love a little heartbeat!!

Sorry to those who feel really ill.

TwilightSurfer · 30/10/2007 15:19

{{{Deep Breath}}}
I just started bleeding about 45 minutes ago. I'm in no pain just very shakey as there's only one reason to bleed this way. It's not spotty or just there when I wipe. It's not gushing either. Honestly, it's just life my normal AF arrived. I've phoned my nurse and left word for her to call back. I've phoned my DH who's hundreds of miles away. I've gotten myself dressed in case I should need to leave shortly. I'm getting my DD together as she'll have to join me if we have to leave.

Talk about crushed. I've become a statistic.

8 weeks 3 days

I'll post again later. I just needed to say things out-loud but not in the real world.

goingfor3 · 30/10/2007 15:22

Oh TS, I really hope that it's just a blip. I'll be thinking about you.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 30/10/2007 15:23

Oh no I do know some people who've had BIG BIG bleeds during pregnancy and been ok but you are right to get checked straight away!! Have you contacted EPU?

{{{{hugs}}}}

Rolf · 30/10/2007 15:56

Oh TS .

debinaustria · 30/10/2007 16:06

Oh TS , I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, let us know how you get on.

Deb

ChinaSurprise · 30/10/2007 16:37

Oh TS - so sorry. Do get to EPU though as soon as you can. Thinking of you.

ernest · 30/10/2007 18:22

flosspot · 30/10/2007 18:52

Everything crossed for you TS- sending you big hugs.

imopop · 30/10/2007 18:55

TS-go and get checked asap-all the luck in the worldxx

flosspot · 30/10/2007 18:55

Great news to G43 and China....am feeling very ugh today. Can't bear any strong smells, so cooking, laundry and dishwashing are out...feel the house is a complete pit and that DH will think I am turning into Waynetta now that I am pg. Also none of my clothes or bras fit and am surviving on toast and coco pops. HArdly the nutrition that Pip needs to grow into a big baby....

sorry- ranting over nothing. Just needed to let it out. Am having to cuddle the dog permanently at the moment- once it gets dark, all the fireworks start (teenagers!!) and it freaks her out. On which note, so sorry to hear about your puppy Josey....heartbreaking.

flosspot · 30/10/2007 18:56

Is it me or has NH been quiet....

sophiewd · 30/10/2007 19:12

Fingers crossed TS and everyone else who is worried at this time.

Went to see MW today, everything fine, have filled in forms for NT scan at local hospital rather than hiking to Salisbury. Booking in appointment will be in a couple of weeks. Did say that I have no more symptons of pregnancy but she said as long as no bleeding she is not worried.
