I got BFP this morning six months to the day after my MC, only 12DPO but so happy. Please pray this one holds on!!!! I am due on June 1 according to OV calendars so have the pleasure of starting this thread.

Anyone else out there or am I the only mental person who tests this early?

BSL - Fingers crossed for you this next week.

Baby alfie - glad everything's OK

We've just told our boys as they were getting worried with me being so tired and sick , I never expected them to be so excited - they were just beside themselves. They've just helped me bake, now one is hoovering and the other tidying up. I've tried to point out in a not too worrying way that we have to wait and see what happens and how the baby grows over the next few weeks but they are already making plans. Now they can't wait to tell Grandma when she arrives today!!I took a photo of them just after I told them, I'll put it on my profile in a minute and then you can see their smiles.

debinaustria · 26/10/2007 14:24

Photo's on my profile now

GardenAngel4 · 26/10/2007 14:32

I'm having a secret party at my desk - according to the online pg calendar I found today is the day my bean's heart starts beating (6weeks)

debinaustria · 26/10/2007 16:19

They've known for about 3 hours, Tristan aged 5 wants to know of the baby is any bigger now than when I told them!!

Heybaby - have you cracked open the fizzy water?

Deb

hi all, just popped on quickly to say hello and hope everyone's well. i've been pretty sick today but have to hold it together as we have a babysitter tonight and will probably be our last 'date' until the wedding in january. i'm excited to get all dolled up but worried about the tube journey (trains are sooo not good for morning sickness!). anyway hello! to all the new mummy-to-be's and hope everyone is happy and healthy.

deb, so pleased for you about your boys! the photo of them is lovely. x

flosspot · 26/10/2007 18:01

Hey all- off to the country (and a land without the interweb) for the weekend. The scan went well, 9+2, strong heartbeat, definitely only one baby and no sign of ectopic issues so big phew!

Welcome to all newbies....so excited to see you hear and can't wait to hear all about you....

Fingers crossed BSL- hope this isn't too long a week.

Rolf · 26/10/2007 18:03

Lovely photos, Deb.

Congratulations to the newbies. Ernest - I have two boys and when I had a girl I got (and still get) lots of comments about how glad I must be to have a girl. So annoying isn't it?

NoviceKnitter · 26/10/2007 18:10

Wow, congratulations ladies. It's a year tomorrow that I got the thin blue line and now I'm sitting here with a wonderful baby dd on my lap. Enjoy your amazing journeys

imopop · 26/10/2007 18:12

Hi
Just to let you all know I had my scan yesterday. One little baby all present and correct with a beating heart!(6 weeks+3)So happy but still nervous because of m/c history. Next scan in 2 weeks. Can I also say st.marys recurrent m/c clinic are fabulous.
Also feel very sick but don't care!

BSL-Fingers crossed.

Rolf · 26/10/2007 18:26

Great news Flosspot and Imopop

There's an article about the recurrent m/c unit in this month's Eve and their fundraising appeal.

sophiewd · 26/10/2007 19:11

Ernest, my Aunt had 8 boys (she did have a girl first) so you have a way to go.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 26/10/2007 19:18

imopop - thanks

I'm fuming mad atm....dh's work have got funny saying he can't take time off for the scan next week. FFS, I NEED him there, I can't take bad news on my own!! (in case it's bad). And also, I'll be taking baby mindee with me and he's supposed to be helping look after her (not sure if they allow prams into scan room (don't think enough room).

Gracie14 · 26/10/2007 20:25

Hi all,

floss and imopop - Glad scans have gone well

BSL - Thats awful, is there no way they will change their minds? Angry for you !

Had a really busy day today so now completely knackered, haven't slept very well last 3 nights my head has been spinning with baby thoughts! Went xmas shopping today and was so tempted to browse in baby shops abit too early I think!!

goingfor3 · 26/10/2007 23:03

Hello All,

Welcome to all of the new people and really sorry to see that there have been some very sad loses.

I had a nice holiday but feel happy to be back at home. MS hasn't been too bad, just had mild sickness comming and going in waves. I'm 9 weeks today and looking forward to my next scan which will be a week on wednesday.

ChinaSurprise · 27/10/2007 12:59

Morning all. Bit scared today as have had a little brown blood for the second time. First time was about a week ago and after fretting I put it down to implant blood that had been loosened by bding the night before . But have had a teeny bit more this morning and no 'action' recently to dislodge (too tired!)
I realised my mw hadn't told me how to get into the EPU on the w/e as they or my GP have to call to refer me. Rang out of hours but they said the EPU shut at 11am!!!!!!!! I've been so tired I didn't get up till after 10.30 so by the time I called it was too late as hosp too far and too much traffic to make it - plus I had to wait for them to call me back to confirm referral (which they did at 12.10 - thanks!).
Rang the hosp but they confirmed EPU was shut and not open Sundays. (Me: "So if it's not open this afternoon is it open tomorrow?" Staff nurse: "But it's Sunday tomorrow." Me: "My body doesn't care whether it's Sunday!" FFS!) After that I spoke to a MW who was really nice but basically couldn't help.
Anyway, so am now feeling really helpless and to make matters worse have got a job interview on Monday morning which I absolutely can't cancel so am going to have to wait til the afternoon.
I feel sick. Surely if it's not a mc but it turns out I've got an incompetent cervix this should be stitched now rather than waiting another 48 hours.
Anyone else have any experience of this? Am freaking out. No more blood but am also not feeling as sick as normal today.
China

ChinaSurprise · 27/10/2007 13:00

PS. No dating scan yet, but am 7 wks today according to my own calculations.

ChinaSurprise · 27/10/2007 13:19

PPS. Have just read some more about incompetent cervix and this isn't a factor for mc in the first trimester, so I guess I just have to hang in there and see. I'm so cross with my hosp for shutting the EPU at 11am on a Saturday - surely they would know that pg women need more sleep, esp in the first trimester! It seems to me like it's almost a nominal opening, just so they can say they do it to hit targets etc. Am so angry and feel so helpless. Is my first pg and I know some women bleed and some don't so it could be normal or it could be a mc but I have no previous experience to go on and don't really want to scare my mother by asking her.

sophiewd · 27/10/2007 13:20

China, for a start don't panic please, if you are still bleeding and still worried then take yourself of to A&E.

ChinaSurprise · 27/10/2007 13:51

Thanks Sophie
Have finally spoken to someone at out of hours clinic who
Th is an Actual Doctor - three effing hours later. Anyway, she says is worth waiting to see if it clears up over the w/e and I can ask GP to refer me to EPU on Monday, so I guess it's just wait and see.
Just taking deep breaths and trying not to cry as I know it may be all fine.

Gracie14 · 27/10/2007 14:38

Hi all,

Well I've started bleeding today - pinkish/red and now spotting at the moment keep rushing off to the toilet to check

I am so scared that I'm losing the baby only 5 weeks and I know I can't do anything except wait until I can get an appointment with my GP on Monday

Sorry to hear your going through the same China

Rolf · 27/10/2007 15:03

Thinking of you both, Gracie and China.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 27/10/2007 15:18

Gracie14 - he'll be coming no matter what!

Sorry to those others also bleeding. I really feel for you, going through the same myself. Many others do bleed little bits/LOTS and are absolutely fine but I can completely understand your worries. I'm sure all with be fine but {{{hugs}}} as I know the waiting is agony.

I just wanted to say that I'm going to leave this thread for a bit. I've decided to think of myself as 'not pregnant' as it's the only way I can deal with it. It's not the bleeding that worries me tbh, but the fact I was eating LOTS, was bloated, had tingling boobs, waves of nausea and a terrible metal mouth, all which left me on Monday and haven't returned. To me, the next scan on Friday is just going to be confirmation. I 'know' my body and know what I think.

Wishing all the rest of you the best of luck with your pregnancies. As hard as it is to feel sick as a dog, take it as a good sign that things are ticking along as they should be (she says knowing she'd moan again if she was really suffering! )

Take Care

LT xx
